The rest of the night runs smoothly.

Or at least it did from the outside looking in.

On the inside Jimin's heart and mind was racing but he kept forcing himself not to think. And not to worry.

Jimin enters the living after his mom's gone to bed, setting the gifts he got his mom and Yoongi under the tree.

Tomorrow was going to be a lot less comfortable than today considering how many of his distant relatives are going to be at the house.

Jimin sits down on the sofa staring at the bright lights on the Christmas tree.

After his mom's little spill about marrying Yoongi, Jimin couldn't stop thinking about it.

Of course Jimin loved Yoongi and he had no doubt in his mind that Yoongi loved him. But were the two of them really ready for such a huge 'commitment' as his mother had put it. Especially with Jimin being sick and all.

"What are you thinking about?" Yoongi asks sitting next to Jimin on the sofa.

"Nothing." Jimin lies snuggling closer to Yoongi as he wraps his arm around him. "How's your mom?"

"She's good. Some of our family and friends are all at the house." Yoongi says.

"That's nice." Jimin says looking down at his hands.

"You sure you're okay?" Yoongi asks.

"I'm fine." Jimin says trying to be as convincing as possible.

"Alright." Yoongi says. "We should head to bed then. Got a long day ahead of us tomorrow."

  "Can't wait." Jimin says sarcastically.

"Come on." Yoongi chuckles standing and holding his hand out to Jimin.

Jimin smiles taking his hand.

"Jimin." Yoongi whispers shaking Jimin's shoulder slightly. "Park Jimin."

"Hm?" Jimin hums still half asleep.

"Wake up it's Christmas." Yoongi says.

"Yoongi." Jimin whines not moving from his spot.

"Come on Jimin get up." Yoongi says nudging his shoulder. "I got you something."

"What time is it?" Jimin groans.

"Time to get up and open your gift." Yoongi says.

Jimin sighs turning to face Yoongi. "Shouldn't we wait until my mum gets up."

"I got you something to open with her too. But I want you to open this now." Yoongi says.

Jimin sighs sitting up and pushing the covers of his body.

"Here." Yoongi says handing Jimin a medium sized square box.

  "What is it?" Jimin asks.

"Open it." Yoongi groans rolling his eyes.

Jimin sighs pulling the top off the box.

"What is it?" Jimin asks again pulling out a glass jar.

"It's a happy jar." Yoongi says turning the jar in Jimin's hands so he can read the label. "It has little slips of paper in it and on them and I wrote little inspirational things on them. So you can read one everyday."

"Aw. Yoongi." Jimin smiles looking at the jar. "That's so thoughtful of you."

"I saw it on Pinterest and I thought it was cute." Yoongi says sitting next to Jimin  on the bed.

"It is. Thank you so much." Jimin says wrapping his arms around Yoongi's neck.

Yoongi hugs Jimin back. "You're welcome darling."

Jimin smiles releasing Yoongi and looking back down at the jar.

"We should get ready to go out. My mom always gets up early on Christmas." Jimin says placing the gift back in the box.

"I'll wait for you to get ready." Yoongi says.

"You don't have to. I'll only be a another minute." Jimin says standing from his spot.

"I'll go keep your mother company then." Yoongi says standing as well and walking to the door.

  "I'll be right there."

The house is soon loud and chaotic as more of Jimin's extended family arrived.

After a few hours of forced conversation and Yoongi being introduced as "Jimin's friend" they approach each other again.

"Hey friend." Yoongi speaks first as they lean against the counter in the empty kitchen.

"Hi." Jimin sighs folding his arms over his chest.

  "How're you doing?" Yoongi asks.

"I'm fine." Jimin shrugs. "How much longer until we're home?"

"Twelve hours and twenty minutes not including possible traffic." Yoongi says.

Jimin laughs at Yoongi before the two fall silent.

"This isn't so bad." Jimin says as he looks at all the family gathered in the main area of the house.

"Yeah. Your family is nice." Yoongi says looking over at Jimin who for the first time in a while looks a slight bit content.

Although Jimin is going through an endless battle in his mind that he was positive he'd never escape it was nice to be here with his family.

As much as he thought they were judging him and as much as he dreaded the thought of consuming anything his mother had prepared for dinner he felt okay at the moment.

"What are you thinking about Jiminie?" Yoongi asks breaking him from his thoughts.

"I don't know." Jimin answers honestly. "I'm just kinda happy right now."
