Of What Could've Been

Is this my boat? It's so dry, never having touched the ocean.

Its structure shriveled up with the pain of

...Of a life that could've been

A world that could've existed

A time that could've been our era.

A ship full of sin

An ocean of azure in the sky

as waves of rain-filled clouds crash onto each other

my dancer doll never got to dance.

...Of a life that could've been

...Of a life that could've been

A world that could've existed

A time that could've been our era.

With the guidance of the colors of dawn

we've chosen red to match the blazing horizon

my brother, my sister, my trustee; ignite with the

burning sky

but sink into the realm of the ocean

where we've chosen blue.

We salute you and the life you've battled

with us, so fade into the dual colored flag and

become one with fire

and then evanesce to water.

My unfulfilled eyes gaze into their reflection

And I know it's time.

I close the door and lock it

I lose the key and

forgive myself for missing

the life I could've lived

a world I could've ruled

and a time I could've called my era.
