Thi phẩm Les fleurs du mal (Hoa khổ đau/Những bông hoa ác) - Charles Baudelaire, xuất bản lần đầu năm 1857 nhưng không được đón tiếp nồng nhiệt, vì nhiều bài thơ biểu tượng nhục tính, phản luân lý và đạo giáo, và cũng vì thế mà ông và nhà xuất bản đã bị đưa ra toà và bị phạt vạ. Sáu bài thơ trong thi phẩm này đã bị kiểm duyệt cắt bỏ. Sau này ông sáng tác thêm 35 bài thơ mới, tái bản lần thứ 2 vào năm 1861, nhưng những bài đã bị kiểm duyệt vẫn chưa được thêm vào. Sau khi ông qua đời năm 1867, bản cuối cùng được xuất bản năm 1868 với một số bài thơ mới, nhưng cũng không có sáu bài đã bị kiểm duyệt trong các lần trước.Hoa khổ đau là một thi phẩm nổi tiếng của ông, mà chính tác giả đã bộc bạch thổ lộ: "viết với tất cả con tim và hận thù..." cho lý tưởng và nghệ thuật.
