Manan were laying in each other arm's and were almost going to go into a deep sleep when a knock disturb them.
 

Nandini-(sleepily) manik go and see, please.

Manik shook his head to let go of his sleep and then get up from bed after pecking Nandini's forehead who was snuggling inside the duvet to get some warmth.

Manik opened the door and got shocked seeing the person standing there with tears in her eyes.

Manik-(worriedly) kiddo, what happened, baby? Why are you crying?

Listening Manik, nandini immediately got up and hurriedly walked towards them.

Mrudula-(hiccuping) appa, maa... am I doing something wrong?

Both Manik and Nandini were confused listening to her but nevertheless, nandini holds her hand and made her sit in the middle of their bed while manik grabbed a glass of water for her.

Manik- here, drink this first.

Mrudula takes 2 sips and then hand it back to him while nandini wiped her tears away lovingly.

Nandini-now, tell us, what's bothering our Jaan?

Manik-yes, did anyone say anything to you?

Mrudula- noo

Nandini-then?

Mrudula-(sobbing)  I..i...was going towards kitchen, when I heard a noise coming from Karan's room....so I went to his room when I overheard him talking with myrah and aarav. He was telling them how he loves me enough to let me go for my happiness. He is so broken appa and he still wants my happiness. I'm doing so wrong with him na? I shouldn't leave him, I'm being so selfish.

nandini smiles and shakes her head in disbelief.

Nandini- (chuckling) God, for this my baby is crying like this? Hmm?

Mrudula-(confusedly) Matlab? ( Means?)

Nandini- baby, you are not being selfish. You are just choosing what's right at this moment. If you won't heal then how will you help Karan? If you will try to fix his broken pieces while you yourself will be breaking from inside, your relationship will turn toxic mrudula and Karan knows that very well. He would have chosen to be with you and heal together if you wanted the same but if you think that you want some alone time to gather yourself then there is nothing selfish in it.

Manik- baby, this is not being selfish. Everyone has a different way of healing and we should respect that. You have lost your parents and it's not some random loss. You have lost someone really close and you need time to fix yourself. What's wrong with that?

Mrudula- but I want to stay with Karan as well during this hard time. Maa papa was his parents too. He is not showing enough that doesn't mean it's not affecting him.

Nandini- then be with him. Who's stopping you? Don't cut off from him fully beta. Mrudula, here is the thing. For relationships to work, both of them should be taking steps together. Karan has taken his step and now it's your turn to do so.

Mrudula-(slowly) how?

Manik- that's on you to decide. Think and then take a decision.

Mrudula- what if I made some mistake?

Nandini-(smiling) then learn from it. We all do make mistakes. Me and manik have made so many mistakes. It's okay to make some but what's not okay is to not learn anything from them.

Mrudula was lost in her thoughts and then after few seconds, a smile formed on her lips making manan's heart swell with happiness. After so long they have seen her this happy smile.

Myrah was laying down on aarav's lap while aarav's head was on Karan's shoulder as they were sitting in the balcony looking at starts lost in their thoughts.

Aarav- what do you think? Where must be Ishita aunty and ram uncle by now?

Karan-(looking at stars with a small smile) they are there... looking at us right now.

Myrah- you are going to miss them a lot na bhaiyu?

Karan looked down at her and muttered "hmmm" making her pout.

Myrah-even I will miss them. Ram uncle used to support me when I used to fight with papa, making him hell angry and ishita aunty used to make so many good dishes for me.

Aarav-(smiling) they are at peace now. I just hope mrudula gets fine. I know it's not easy but still

Karan-(whispering) I hope so too.

Again silence prevailed, after a long pause karan asked a question which was eating him since a long.

Karan- ( in a low tone) what if she chooses to leave me forever? Kyaa karaunga Mai? Kaha jaaunga?
(What will I do? Where will I go?)

Aarav looked at Karan and said- talk to her for once buddy. I'm not asking you to stop her but at least communicate.

Karan-you really think I didn't? I tried so many times to talk with her but every time she refused to utter a word also and then after few days she didn't allow anyone else near her other than maa papa.

Aarav- she loves you too buddy, don't give up on her. Hold on for some more time, I'm sure you guys will find your way out.

Karan nodded his head and that's when they both looked at myrah who was looking lost. They both looked at each other before aarav pushed her from his lap making her startled.

Myrah-(angrily) what is wrong with you temple guy?

Aarav- first, stop calling me temple guy rat, second you are so heavy,ouch my leg and third what are you thinking?

Myrah-(glaring) none of your concern. Huh

Aarav looked at Karan with a whiny face so he chuckled and bring myrah closer to himself.

Karan-(hugging myrah from the back) what my princess is thinking?

Myrah-( hesitatingly) will you answer my question?

Karan- sure. Go ahead.

Myrah- when did you both realise you love aradhya di and Mrudula di?

Aarav-(narrowing his eyes) whyyyyy????

Myrah-(looking here and there) what do you mean by why??

Aarav- (with the same expression) why you want to know about this?

Karan-(sarcastically) they ask how "people knew they are in love" in general knowledge nowadays?

She asked making puppy eyes to which both boys sighed and looked at each other before answering her.

Aarav-( lost in his thoughts) idk....I had a crush on this one girl in 7 standard. Aradhya was my best friend and to make that girl jealous I asked aradhya to be my girlfriend. That girl was pretty and I was a teenager too so I was interested in her.  Also, aradhya was my really good friend, plus cabir uncle's daughter so we thought it would be good to be together. We won't catch feelings for each other and neither of us will be hurt too.

Months passed, that girl started feeling jealous, she used to make excuses to talk to me, share her lunch with me but I just don't know what happened. I wasn't having any more interest in her or in any other girl. Aradhya used to stay away from me whenever she used to see that girl coming towards me but I started hating this fact.
Then one day aradhya told her how we were just acting to make her jealous and then being happy that girl proposed to me.
I rejected her, I told her I love aradhya and apologize to her as well...I realised it too late but still, thankfully I realise. When I confessed it Infront of aradhya, she was shocked and happy too obviously. She told me she loved me from childhood. I was happy, extremely happy.
To this date I don't know when I fall in love with her, I just realised on that day but I think I was already having feelings for her.

Karan-( accusing look) you never told me about this love story of yours?

Aarav-(rubbing his neck sheepishly) you never asked?

Karan rolled his eyes and huffed in anger. HE DESERVED TO KNOW THAT FOR GOD'S SAKE!  He isn't sharing any more video games or food with this temple guy now! Nope, never!

Aarav slid closer to Karan and pushed his shoulder from his with a pouty face.

He said stretching sorry to which karan twitched his lips in pure annoyance. He has always told this temple guy about everything and he didn't tell his love story???? How Mean Aarav Malhotra Can Be?

Karan-(glaring) I told you eveythinggggg but you didn't. You broke our bro code. That's it! We are done. I'm breaking up with you. Go away...shooo...

He pushed aarav back and shifted to the far end corner of the balcony making aarav pout in sadness.

Myrah-(irritatingly) God, fight later you twooo!!! Bhaiyu tell me about yours naaa.

Karan- you already know myruh. She helped me when I was bullied at school, then she makes me feel good about myself, helped me with my anxiety and other mental issues...in all these even I didn't get to know when I fall in love with her.

Myrah- but I was a kid back then and you never told me when you realised it

Karan-(sighing) you don't fall in love in just one day myrah, you do realise it one day but you fall for that particular person every day. Some days you feel really irritated and becomes annoyed but still, at the end of the day, you will want that person only. You will choose your person no matter how much he/she makes you angry, frustrated or whatever and when you do this, understand that you are in love with that person. When you start changing yourself to be a better person for her/him, Understand that you have fucked up.

Aarav chuckled at his last line but karan glares at him while myrah was thinking about something and soon a smile formed on her lips which was seen by both the boys.

Aarav- why are you so interested in knowing about this? Are we missing something?

Myrah-(smilingly) nope! I'm sleepy so I'm going back to my room. Byeeeeeeeeeeee

Saying this she ran away without listening to anything while now aarav hugged Karan squeezing him tightly but Karan was still adamant.

Aarav-(whining) talk to me naaaaaaaa.

Karan-(huffing) I won't.

They were going to argue more when a voice made them look behind. Mrudula was standing there, fidgeting with her fingers standing nervously.

Karan immediately got up while aarav whispered in his ears.

Aarav- talk with her, I'm going to my room. Best of luck.

Karan-(whispering back) hmmm.

Aarav walked near the door and patted Mrudula's head and said in a slow whisper- " take care baby-girl"

Mrudula smiles and nodded her head while aarav left the room.

Karan-(slowly) you here?

Mrudula-(nervously) can I talk with you?

Karan-yeah say

Mrudula-(stammering) I...I'm...go... goi..ng in... a.... week so..

Karan-(looking another side) yeah I know, don't worry I'll arrange the tickets or if you are okay, you can go in our private jet too. As you will scared in flights and you are traveling alone,I was not sure. Just let me know what will you prefer, I'll arrange it. Also, do you want anything more?? We can go tomorrow...or wait you wouldn't want me to come right? I'll ask maa to come with you and-

Karan was just going on and on not glancing at her for once while now tears were running down from Mrudula's eyes. Before he could say something more, she ran towards him and hugs him tightly from the back making him stop in between.

Mrudula-(cryingly) please forgive me... please...aise baat nahi karo naa...mujhe acha nahi lag rhaa.

She was crying so hard, soaking his shirt with her tears seeing which karan turned back and made her hide in his chest.

Karan- shhh,chup... don't cry... I'm not mad at you bache.

Mrudula- (sobbing) then why are you talking like this with me?

Karan- (pouting) sorryy

Mrudula didn't say anything just rubbed her runny nose on his shirt making him whine.

Karan-(fake whining) ahaaannnnnnnn my new shirt. I didn't even change yet.

Mrudula giggles and said- you deserve it.

Karan smiles listening to her giggles and picked her up making her shriek in surprise.

He gently placed her on the bed and hovered over her hiding his face in her neck.

Mrudula didn't say anything and started caressing his hair making him sigh. 

After few mins both could hear each other's sobs, karan was crying in her neck while mrudula was hiding her face under his chest crying bitterly.

Mrudula-(hiccuping) m.a...a..pa..pa..

Karan-(sobbing) they are here baby...they are here.

Mrudula-(crying) they left us, Karan..they won't come back ever now.

Karan-(sniffing) but they can see us. We can feel them.. isn't it enough?

Mrudula pulled him out of her neck and wiped away his tears and pecked him on his head.

Karan move towards the bed's other side and made her lay down on himself and starts caressing her hair kissing her from time to time.

After a long silence when both didn't get any sleep, Karan asked her in a low tone.

Karan- aap sach Mai jaa rhe ho Jaan?
( Are you really going love?)

Mrudula- I want to Karan..

Karan-(giving her a small smile) okay go, but stay in contact with me please, call me whenever you can, let me know you are safe and please please I beg you... don't hurt my baby in any way and...

Mrudula-(looking up) and?

Karan-(whispering+ Pulling her more closer) come back sooner.

Mrudula-(pecking his chin) I will!

Karan holds her neck and pushed his face down....just before touching his lips with her he asked- (huskily) may I?

Mrudula-(whispering) you never have to ask baby

And soon he grabbed her lips in his making both of them feel home after weeks. At this moment, they both once again realise, how much they love each other.
