Return

Seabound spoilers. Also, apologies that this isn't the best thing I've wrote.

It had felt like so long since she was last laying on the bed, her head on his chest and their hands intertwined. She missed it so much, and she couldn't be any happier that she's finally home and back in one piece.

After what felt like a long ordeal of drama, Nya was finally saved from her permanent ties to the ocean and was released as the female she once was. However, that held a few conditions. She could now practically shape-shift from her water form back to her normal form, so that should be handy during fights. And secondly, she had a few markings that resemble her ocean form scattered all over her body. She's just happy they're not on her face or hands.

But now, after a few days of pure sleep, everyone was finally awake and active, doing this that they normally didn't have the motivation to do when Nya was gone.

Well, everyone was active except for Jay and Nya.

Nya was exhausted and actually in critical condition when she had been given her human form back. She was stuck on an uncomfortable sofa all by herself for hours until anyone had found her. It was cold, she was hungry and she was tired. Not to mention all of her body was also going crazy.

She spent the rest of the day sleeping with some blankets while Jay held her hand throughout it all and even offered to carry her all the way home and off to bed. However, Nya woke up as soon as her body left the sofa. (Or it was the fact that her blankets had fell off her.)

Jay wouldn't let go of her for hours. He had missed her so much to the point of thinking of leaving himself. He couldn't let go of her again. It may sound overdramatic but he just really needed her.

And now, the two were cuddling in bed, occasionally muttering sweet words to each other while feeling themselves become more and more content with each minute.

"I missed this," Nya sighs, looking up at Jay, who was behind her. "I haven't felt a touch like this in so long."

Jay nods. "Neither." He replies, planting a kiss on the Water Master's forehead. The action caused her to blush and argue with a kiss back, hoping it would catch the freckled boy off guard.

Nya opens her mouth to speak again. "I also missed you." She added on, her brown eyes averting themselves to the ground.

The tone of the situation switched. "I remember thinking of someone like you everyday, but I couldn't put my finger on who it was. I just..missed someone with brown-ginger hair and adorable freckles." Nya's words were changing from usually very upbeat and happy to a sad statement and a depressing expression that left the boy with blurry tears in his eyes.

He stared out at the wall in front of him. He never thought Nya had missed him, he thought that the girl was too busy beings body of water around the ocean to care about one boy that she likes. More tears gathered into his eyes while he thought of the lonely few months before Nya was back in his arms. He hated it so so much.

"Jay?" Nya called out, worried. She moved her hand to his cheek and wiped away a stray tear with her thumb, hoping that would help.

Jay stammered for a few moments. "I-I missed you a lot." He started off, voice shaky.

"I..felt like everyday was a new method of torture because I didn't get to see you, a-and instead of the people doing the torture letting me die, I was kept there to live the same lonely days." His explanation held more tears behind it, however Nya's hand wasn't there to catch them this time. Instead she was gently holding his hands, patiently waiting for a response.

Jay's emotions began to get the better of him, and he couldn't keep his cries hidden for much longer.

Nya seemed to noticed this and slowly pulled the boy into a hug, resting his head down by her shoulder and collarbone while his cries became louder and harsher.

"Jay, I'm so sorry for leaving you." Nya muttered, softly running her hands through his soft brown hair. "I won't do it again, I promise."

This made the Lightning Master look up and sniffle, still letting tears race down his face and pad onto the mattress below him.

"I'll never leave you again. I hated doing it the first time, why would you think I'd do it again?" Nya added, a small smile appearing on her face. However, Jay kept crying and crying.

It was obvious that he was hurt deeply by Nya's departure from the team, in fact he was so hurt that he barely came out of his room for the first month. So now, it was understandable that he was crying harshly and keeping close to her no mater what. His mind begged and pleaded for her to never leave again, however he could not say it due to his sobbing.

Nya hushed him quietly yet softly placed a kiss on the boy's cheek, however not before rubbing his back softly and helping ease his quickly rising chest.

"I love you."

Jay's head rose up from her shoulder and he stared into her eyes, a look of shock coming from his face for a few moments. His face turned a soft shade of pink and his eyes looked like they were sparkling, especially when he was staring into her eyes.

A few moments later, Jay sniffled and smiled slightly, happy he finally got the words he'd been patiently waiting to hear for so long. And he also got to say the words he'd been impatiently waiting for all these years.

"I..love you too." He said, shuffling closer to his Yang and resting his head on her shoulder once again, feeling his body relax from its tenseness while Nya started to rub his back again and softly get quietly talk to him.

Although things are going to get in their way, they know they'll love through it.
