Chapter 4

Sisters dear

Lying here

-Sleeping away

Find each other

And recover

-Exhaustion at bay

Inside a bubble

Brewing trouble

-Finding ghosts and Fay

Within 10 feet

You shall meet

-To find her, today

Be drawn together

Stay forever

-Wherever you lay

"I think that 3 lines equal one verse. Let's do one verse at a time," Leila suggested.

That sounds about right. First one is easy. She was specifying the bonded, you two.

"The second verse sounds like when we see each other we find strength," I say uncertainly.

"The third verse is kind of odd. How would we get inside a bubble?" Olivia points out, "And if were inside a bubble, how do we find ghosts and Fay? Fay are magical creatures right?"

Yes, Fairies, Goblins, trolls, and everything in between, even giants or sprites.

"Are ghosts Fay?" I ask.

No. We used to be human, so we don't count as Fay. But you two summoned me, if that helps at all. I don't think you were in a bubble then, were you?

"No...," I say slowly, "What if bubble was just a metaphor? What if the "Bubble" is just a distance measure? Let's see how big this bubble distance is!"

I walk backwards. I keep my eye on Alice. I reach 1 foot, 2 feet, 3, 4 and 5, all the way up to eight feet. At 8 feet, Alice started to flicker. At nine feet, she was transparent and at ten feet she DISAPPEARED.

I sprinted back too Olivia, hoping Alice would return. To my happiness, Alice came back. I smile, Mission complete.

"10 feet is the limit," I tell Olivia.

At nine feet I was transparent though. Remember that. And at eight, I was flickering. Let's say 7 to be safe.

"So what about the next verse?" I ask.

Easy, within 10 feet, you can see me. Or find me, if need be. It's explaining what we already figured out.

"Then the last verse just says that we will be drawn together. It's like twin tuition," Olivia announces.

"Glad we figured that out." I say confidently.

"I'm sorry, but I must depart now," Olivia said.

See you next time within 10 feet.

"Bye!" Olivia tells me. She hugs me, even though I don't want her to. And she heads back to wherever she came from, deep in thought.

"Where have you been?" asks Sarah, dangerously quietly.

"Out," I say simply

"Your father is having a feast tonight."

"I don't like his feasts."

"He will be there."

"I don't care."

"You should."

"Ashley will have the crown anyway."

"How do you know?"

"She doesn't like me, Sarah!"

"That shouldn't stop you from trying."

"It's kind of hard when she criticizes everything I do!" I yell. I have lost my temper, again. It's the Queen. She and she alone can make me yell. I sigh. HE will be there. That means at least two hours of dress and makeup. And they don't even know...
