As we take a long ride home from the festival, I think about Ronan. Ronan was never the romantic type of guy I hoped for, who would tell me that he loved me and sweep me off my feet. He was that type of guy who was only in it for one thing and one thing only, sex.

I've never done it with him, which somehow makes me more special than the rest of the girls...if that's what you want to call it.

Ronan wasn't the one to really like to show his emotions, or express them. He always only showed anger or hatred.

To think of it, he's never said i love you.

We've been dating for almost two years now and I've never once heard him say that he loves me.

"Hey are you okay?" Niall asks, clenching the steering wheel. 

"I'm fine" I say, crossing my arms. "its just I'm thinking about Ronan" 

"Oh. Want to talk about it?"

"Rather not" I scoff rolling my eyes.

"Look you said yourself that I like you, I have feelings your not intereste-"

"Hardly"

"So why don't we just be friends? If we're gonna be friends we can talk about this stuff" he says. I grow confused for a moment, someone actually wants to be my friend?

"Um okay, but just know that I've never had a friend" I say softly. "As you can see why" I chuckle to myself.

"Yeah. She never once had a friend because she let that Ronan get into her head" Aedan says.

"Oh shut it" I say back to him as I cross my arms. Aedan rolls his eyes and drifts back to sleep.

"What does he mean?" Niall says as he pulls up at our house.

"It doesn't matter" I say, unbuckling my seatbelt and reaching for the door handle. 

"Yes it does Caitriona" he says, almost demanding but pleading with his eyes. I sigh deeply and slouch into my seat. As I do so Aedan gets out of the car and stumbles his way into the house. 

"Okay fine" I mutter. "When I first started dating Ronan he didn't want me to hang out with anyone because he wanted me only to be around him. So he scared off all of my friends and it made me feel all alone. I had no one to talk to and I went through a lot of crazy shit but I did it because I love him" I sigh as he reaches out and touches my leg softly. 

"Hey look, what Ronan did was unfair to you but i know you already know that. I wish.." he stops himself and shakes his head. "Never mind" 

"What is it?" I ask, placing my hand on his. 

"Nothing, um goodnight" he says as I sigh. 

"Good night" I say getting out of his car and heading inside.
