I was sitting on the counter eating chips that I had bought today. As I eat my thoughts went back to the dinner I had with the William's family.

Carter's parents were nice, his mom invited me to dinner meaning she didn't want to get rid of me. His dad made small talks while we ate. There wasn't really a barrier between them and me? They weren't icy or displeased towards me. But then again they deal with different kinds of people everyday. Its their job to be nice towards everyone.

About their relation with Carter it wasn't perfect. They had some issues and I don't think they have time to solve them.

The bell outside rang and I stepped of my stool, grabbing a chips from the packet I made my way to the door. Opening it I saw Kaiden standing  infront of me.

"Hey" he said with a smile.

"Hi" I replied back, unsure of what he was doing here.

"I came to show you my place, come on lets go" he said gesturing towards his heavy bike that I just noticed.

It was red and was standing in my driveway, looking all royal.

"You bought a bike" I said surprised going over to it.

"Yea, well I have money, now lets go"

I stopped looking at the bike and turned towards him.

"Now? Its going to be dark soon, can't we go some other day?"

Something dark passed through his eyes.

"Why? Don't you trust me?" He said suddenly serious.

"Of course I trust you, its just nobody's home so......its fine I'll lock the door and message dad I'm going" I said trying to calm him down.

I don't want him to think that I don't trust him. I don't believe what Carter says about Kaiden.

"Okay then lets go" he said walking over to his bike and climbing up.

I locked the door and texted my dad that I'm going out. I climbed on Kaiden's bike, holding his shirt from behind.

"Ready?" He asked a devilish smile on his face.

I nodded and he started the bike, going forward in full force. If I wasn't holding his shirt I would have falled back to the ground.

Kaiden is crazy, I could feel him going faster and faster. His body shaking with his laugh. I felt the air come against me, trying to slow me down but it was of no use. I could feel Kaiden's thrill but fear started to surface now, we were going too fast.

"Kaiden we're going to die" I shouted so he could hear me.

"Die? Don't you feel alive?" He yelled back

"Kaiden slow down the bike. RIGHT NOW"

He slowed down the bike and I took a deep breath.

"Are you crazy or what?" I said hitting him in the back.

"Relax Eva, you know your actually no fun" he said a smile still visible on his face.

He didn't speed up the bike after that, we went to his place slowly. The sun was setting, going with its orange glow.

A little distance away I could see a tall building approaching. Kaiden drove towards it. As we neared I read the name of the building.

'Diamond Apartments'  it read.

"You live in an apartment?" I asked.

"Yea, dad lives in the house but I prefer this. Its just me, no one else" He said as he drove in through the gates.

He went to the parking lot and parked his bike. The parking area was in the basement, there were expensive cars all around us. These were the apartments of rich people.

"It must be amazing having a whole apartment to yourself" I said as we made our way to the elevators.

"It is but most of the time its lonely" he replied and for a moment I saw shadow of Carter in him.

"Then why don't you stay with your dad" I asked.

The elevator was going up, there were twenty two floors.

"My dad isn't at home either, he works all day and besides I want him to stay away from my life"

"I thought you were on good terms with your dad" I said.

Why does he want his dad to stay away from him?

"My dad isn't the problem, its me" he said as the elevator door opened.

It was floor number ninteen. Kaiden stepped out and walked down the hallway, I followed behind him. He took out a key and opened the lock of the third door from the left.

It didn't look like it from outside but the apartment was huge, there were wood floors ans the furniture was of dark brown colour. There was a glass window on the right that opened to the terrace.

The kitchen was right in front, and a huge tv hung on the left wall, with couches to sit on. There was one room on this floor and stairs. It was kind of like Carter's house just smaller.

"This is really impressive" I said turning around to see Kaiden.

"Thankyou very much" he said with a smile. Dropping his helmet on the couch.

"You can make yourself comfortable, I'll go make something for us to eat" he said and walked towards the kitchen.

"What are you going to make" I asked walking behind him.

I climbed up on the stool near the counter and watched as Kaiden took out a pan from one of the cupboards.

"Its called Kaiden special, I invented it" he said giving me a cheeky grin.

"Oh really?"

He took out some potatoes from the fridge and started cutting them. I watched him as he did that. His hands moving effortlessly with the knife.

As I looked around his apartment once again, I felt vibration on the counter. Next to me was Kaiden's phone that was buzzing. Someone was calling him. I leaned closer and saw thw caller ID.

It said Caroline.

Why would Caroline call Kaiden? What business does she have with him? And why does Kaiden has her number saved in his phone.

Flashbacks from Caroline's party came rushing back. Kaiden and Caroline talking to each other in the room. How it felt like they knew each other. How it felt like they were hiding something.

"Kaiden, your phone" I said.

He had almost chopped all the potatoes. He washed his hand and walked towards the counter. Picking up he saw who was calling and his relaxed posture changed a little, he looked my way and then back at the phone.

"I need to take this" he said to me, I nodded he turned on his heel and walked towards the room next to the kitchen.

Does Carter know about Caroline and Kaiden knowing each other? What if Caroline is cheating on Carter with Kaiden? But kaiden doesn't look like someone who would do something this low even if he hates Carter. Besides Kaiden can do much better than Caroline.

I don't know what got in to me that I stood up and walked towards the room. Kaiden had closed the door. I stood near it, leaning in so I could listen. Kaiden's voice was barely audible.

"What do you mean you weren't able to get in?" Kaiden said. He was trying to control his voice, to keep it low but I could see he was struggling.

"Caroline the window is always opened" he said again and my ears perked up.

What window?

"You just had one job to do Caroline" he said frustrated.

"I'm sure he had hid them in her house" he said.

Fear started to creep up on me.

"You do realize this was such a good chance? Now get the hell out of there, I'll think of something"

What were Kaiden and Caroline planning on doing? Whose place they were trying to break in? What do they want?

There are so many questions that I am getting sick of wondering.

I rushed back to my place as I heard Kaiden say goodbye to Caroline. Sitting back on my seat I took a deep breath as Kaiden opened the door and walked out.

"Sorry" he said walking back towards the potatoes.

"Its okay, who was it?" I asked.

"A friend of mine" he replied simply.

I looked at him for a while. Should I ask him about Caroline?

"Why do you despise Carter so much?" I asked.

He stopped what he was doing and turned around, the knife still in his hand.

"Why do you like Carter so much?" He counter asked.

I watched as he walked towards me.

"Does he make you feel special? tells you that you are special? Are you really that naive Eva? Buying the same old narrative he has been selling  to so many other girls"

"Kaiden-"

"I told you to stay away from him, I told you that he is not good for you, believe me you don't want to be a part of his world"

He was standing directly opposite me now, his eyes darker than I have ever seen.

"Kaiden calm down" I said standing up slowly.

"No Eva you don't understand, you don't even know Carter, how can you trust him?" He said gritting his teeth.

"Kaiden stop it." I said watching his every move carefully. He was scaring me now.

"you don't even know me, for all you know I could be a murderer" he said as he raised his hand that held the knife.

"Kaiden, put the knife down"

"I am so sick of all of this" he said softly, his hand still up.

The anger that had consumed him earlier was gone. It looked like he was in pain now. I don't know what has gotten into him.

"KAIDEN PUT THE KNIFE DOWN" I shouted.

After hearing my voice he came crashing back to his senses, his body relaxing. His eyes shifted from me to the knife and back to me.

"Eva-" he started realizing what he was doing.

"Eva, I......I'm so sorry, I....didn't mean to-"

"Its okay Kaiden" I cut in. "I think I should go back home, its getting dark"  I said moving backwards a little.

He looked at me and then lowered his eyes, closing them.

"Yea, okay. I'll drop you" he said and walked towards where he left his bike key.

"You don't have to do that, I can go back myself"

I don't want to be near him right now.

He opened his mouth to say something but closed it, no words coming out. Taking a deep breath he nodded.

I turned back around and walked towards the door opening it gently, I didn't lool back at Kaiden, I didn't want to see him like this, didn't want to remember him like this.

Stepping out I closed the door behind me.

What is happening?

I picked up my bag that I had packed the other day. It was heavy so it took me a few minutes to get it down the stairs.

Today we are suppose to go to mom's. Dad would leave tomorrow for his job. He will be away for a week, apparently the wedding is going to be a huge one.

He's excited to go but at the same time worried about us. It takes a lot of energy to convince these parents that everything will be fine. He had lectured me for days now to act like a good daughter when I'll be with mom.

I sighed as I dropped the bag near the front door. Dad would be back in about an hour and then we'd leave. The twins and Millie were currently watching the tv.

I sat on the table near the door and took out my phone. Dailing Ally's number I waited for her to pick up.

"Hey" she said drowsy.

"Are you sleeping?"

"Yes Eva I'm sleep talking" she snapped back at me.

"I just called to tell that I would be leaving for mom's soon, in case you decided to show up" I said rolling my eyes.

"Oh okay, I know the way to your mom's house, I'll come there but today I am just planning to sleep" she said yawning.

"Ally I think you should go visit Drake" I said softly as I stared out the window.

"No Eva, I'm not"

"Ally come on, you know he would be happy to see you. He was shot, its a big deal"

"Okay, I will think about it" she sighed.

"Now can I please go back to sleep?"

"Yes your highness" I replied and ended the call.

As I browsed through my messages there was a knock on the door that scared the hell out of me. Standing up I took a breath and opened the door.

In front of me stood Kaiden.

"Hey" he said trying to look at me.

"Kaiden" I acknowledged.

He looked around, his bike standing behind him. He seemed uncomfortable.

"Eva I am so sorry about what happened, I was just having a really bad day and I took it all out on you" he said desperately.

"Kaiden what are you hiding?" I asked finally.

"I know you and Carter know each other long before you came to our school and the reason that you two hate each other is not jealousy or popularity"

Kaiden lowered his eyes.

"Eva I'm really sorry" he whispered.

From the corner of my eye I saw a figure approaching. Turning my gaze towards it I found it was Carter. He was walking towards us, his hands in his jeans pockets. His eyes shifted from me to Kaiden.

Kaiden followed my gaze and saw Carter.

"God I need a break from him" he mumbled as Carter reached us.

"What do you want?" Said Carter looking at Kaiden.

"None of your business" replied Kaiden clenching his fist.

In a blink of an eye, Carter had grabbed Kaiden by his collar and pushed him against the wall of my house, a hand up in the air ready to punch him in the face.

I watched in horror at the two of them.

"You send those people didn't you?" Said Carter.

"That night you send those men DIDN'T YOU. Drake could have died that night"

Kaiden smiled at Carter and pushed him away.

"Do you think I am the only one who knows you have it? There are more people out there Carter, who would kill to have it so if I were you I would be extremely worried"

Carter had his teeth gritted, his hands clenched. In a second he was on Kaiden again.

"STOP IT THE TWO OF YOU" I shouted.

They both stopped and looked my way.

I've had enough of these two.

"You two need to solve your issues and stay the hell away from my house" I said and stepped back inside my house, slamming the door shut.

I am so sorry for the late update, I just have been really busy this week but don't worry I will make it up to you.
Anyways here you have another chapter, I don't really think this is a great chapter I had pictured it better so I'm not completely satisfied but I hope you all like it.
