"ALLY JAMES OPEN THE DAMN DOOR" I shouted standing outside her room. She wasn't in school today and wasn't picking up my calls, that's when I knew something was wrong. It was her habit locking herself in her room when something happens. A habit I hate so much. what's the point of being alone and miserably when you clearly have so many people who care about you, ready to listen to you.

I banged the door one last time, my hands have started to hurt, I've been doing this for awhile now. Taking a deep breath I stared at the door, Ally's mom won't mind if I break it right? I sighed closing my eyes for a second but then heard shuffling on the other end and the door click open slowly. Bursting in I saw Ally standing, still in her night suit, her curly hair scattered everywhere. She had been crying, I could tell that by looking at her swollen eyes.

"What the hell happened?" I asked.

she sniffed and started to cry again. I groaned and closed the door behind me. Ally went to her bed and collapsed on it.

"Ally crying is going to do no good to you so how about we start with you telling me what happened so we could fix it" I said soothingly.

"It can't be fixed, I've messed up big time" she replied and went back to crying again only louder.

I lay down next to her, this will go on for a while so I might as well get comfortable.

About ten minutes later Ally started to speak. This was a long time, she has never been quite for this long before. It might be something really serious that caused her to cry this much and I think I know what that is.

"I told Mason how I felt about him" she said as tears fell from her eyes.

"What?" I said lightly, barely audible.

I have known that Ally is stupid for a long time but this stupid?

"Ally what have you done, are you crazy?"

I really wanted to scream at her but restrained myself. She just started to cry more.

"I told you to go nice and slow, to not get your hopes high and you went and did the exact opposite."

"I know okay, I know. You don't have to rub it in my face" she sai dlooking at me.

I sighed and went forward to hug her. She rested her face on my shoulder and tried to calm herself down.

"Okay so what happened?"

She sniffed and sat up straight facing me.

"We were at the movie theater, we first went to the mall and then to watch the movie. I had so much fun with him and I thought he felt exactly the same. So when the movie ended as we were heading to his car, I told him that I liked him" she said taking a deep breath.

"He...he froze for a while and then...then said Im sorry Ally but I don't feel like that towards you"

"That's it? That's all he said?" I asked.

"No, he also told me that he liked Nina and she had agreed to go out with him"

My mouth dropped open at this.

"Nina...Nina...our friend Nina?" I said not believing it.

Ally nodded and fell back down on the bed. While I tried to settle that in. Mason liked Nina! And he never told me about it. And Nina? It never seemed from their behaviour that they liked each other. Oh god this is bad, really bad.

Since the day Ally told me she like Mason I have been worried for their friendship, for our friendship. I don't want anything to change maybe that's why deep inside I didn't like the idea of Ally liking Mason.

"What else?" I said looking at Ally's curly brown hair.

"Nothing, he just dropped me of to my house and said that we'll pretend this never happened and he won't tell anyone about it" she replied her voice muffled because of the pillow beneath her.

I rubbed her back trying to calm her down.

"Everything will be okay don't worry"

Ally still wasn't ready to come to school next day, she said she didn't have the strength to face Mason or Nina. I didn't argue, she was right it is a big deal telling a person you like them and what's even bigger is getting rejected by them.

I tried to find Mason but then thought why? I can't ask him to leave Nina and come to Ally, that's something no one can do. These feelings, they don't listen to anyone.

I was in the english class waiting for Miss Jean to show up. Carter didn't show up at school today and niether did Caroline, I bet their together somewhere.

"Hey what's with the face" said Kaiden sitting down next to me.

"Nothing" I said, surprised by his sudden appearence.

"So did you and Ally got back okay from the bowling alley?" He asked carefully.

"Don't I look okay?" I said with a smile.

"Yes you do. What about the cafeteria guy?"

"Oh him, Ally gave up on him" I replied quickly.

"Why?"

"When we stalked him, he picked out his nose alot so..."

"Oh okay" said Kaiden and took out his notebook from the bag.

"Anyways you heard about the dinner this weekend?" He asked looking at me.

I nodded and he laughed, definetely on my expressions.

"You know we could ditch it and go somewhere else" he suggested.

"Believe me I would love to but I think I'll have to sit through this one or my mom will get scary"

He laughed at me imitating my scary mom as Miss Jean entered and started the lesson.

I was at the Sally's cafe cleaning the counter. There weren't many people here today. Just an old man sitting in the corner reading newspaper while drinking tea. I sat on the counter and huffed, resting my head down. The door to the cafe opened and I looked up to see Carter walking towards me.
He was wearing a light blue shirt, his hands in his jeans pockets.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as he reached the counter.

"Hi to you too" he replied and sat in the chair in front of me.

"Your shift is about to end so I thought I'll drop you home" He said with a small smile. I have been getting these smiles alot lately and I liked them, kind of like butterflies.

"How do you know I get of at this time?" I asked, I don't think I have ever told him about my schedule.

"I've been stalking you" He replied seriously.

"You don't have to do that, I can go back on my own" I said shaking my head at him.

"Oh come on I came all the way here just to get you" he huffed.

I looked at him for a moment. What's his game? Why was he suddenly hanging out with me? driving me back home. There was something wrong, I just can't trust him, he's most certainly trying to get close to me so he can find something to use against me. I am not going to fall in his trap, I should have never thought better of him. I'm smarter than that.

"That's your problem, not mine" I said walking towards the coffee machine at the other end. He looked at me confused and then followed me there.

"what's up?" He inquired.

"Nothing, I just don't feel like going with you"

"Eva-"

"Is your girlfriend okay with you giving me drive back home?" I asked leaning forward on the counter.

His expression changed, becoming hard.

"I heard you and Caroline got back together, you must really like her, this is love I guess." I said bitterly.

He just looked at me not saying anything. I grabbed the cloth I was cleaning the counter with and looked directly at Carter's eyes.

"Hold on to it Carter" I said softly and turned around to go back to the kitchen.

"So I heard your mom met Jennifer today" said my dad as we cleaned the messed up kitchen.

"Twins sure are talkative" I said with a slight laugh.

"So...what did your mom say? What was her reaction?" Asked my dad carefully.

"Jennifer left before mom could have a reaction but she got pretty angry with me hanging out with Jennifer and not Henry" I replied.

"Well of course what do you expect her to do? You should get along with Henry" said my dad opening the fridge and placing the leftovers of today inside.

"I know that's why I agreed to have a dinner with them this sunday, well I was actually forced but I didn't resisted much"

"That's good that's good" said my dad nodding. "Um listen I got an offer for catering on a wedding, they're paying good"

"Really? That's awesome dad" I said turning around to see him but he didn't look much happy"

"Its a four hours drive from here so I would have to stay over and its not just for two or three days, there are before and after parties too"

"So? What's wrong with that?"

"What's wrong is that I can't leave you all alone for a week" he said.

"Oh God dad, we will be fine don't worry, just go do it" I replied.

He sighed and closed his eyes.

"Maybe if you all go over to your mom's house..."

"No, not a chance. Twins and Millie can go but not me, I'll stay here and will be fine" I said firmly while placing the plates in the cupboard.

"All alone? I'm sorry but with Carter coming here so frequently now, I don't think its a great idea" he said crossing his arms.

"Dad how many times do I have to tell you there is absolutely nothing going on between us. Now please will you do this."

"I'll think about it, we'll see" he said and returned back to his work.

I knew he wasn't going to do it but I won't stop pushing until he does it. This could be his big break for all we know. He really needs it and the money, plus its something he loves and enjoy.

I finished my work soon after, yawning all the while.

"I'm done, goodnight" I said marching towards the door.

"Eva" my father's voice stopped me.

I turned to look at him, he scrached his neck and then looked at me.

"I'm your dad, always remember that"
