~Effie POV~
Once we get back to 12, the geese eggs have already hatched. They are absolutely adorable! I know our baby will be just as precious.

"Haymitch, we have to tell them eventually." I say as we're feeding the geese.
"Tell who?" He asks.
"Katniss and Peeta." He gives me a blank look. "About the baby."
"Oh, ok!" He says as relief washes over his face.

"What did you think I was talking about?" I ask.
"Oh, I don't know." He says. Makes be wonder if he did anything he won't tell me.

We make our way across the street to see Katniss and Peeta. When we get there, Katniss is literally jumping for joy. Apparently, Primrose can walk now. And she's so adorable when she does.

"Katniss, Effie and I have something to tell you." Haymitch says.
"Let me guess," Katniss says. "The geese hatched." We all laugh.

"Actually, it's something else." Haymitch says.
"Well, what is it?" Peeta asks. He's always so curious about everything. I decided I wanted to say it.

"I am pregnant." I finally say. They both give me a look of shock and embrace me in a hug. We chat a little bit more before we have to go.

When Haymitch and I get back, it's 10:30. I get into my pajamas and crawl into bed. Haymitch comes in after me.  As I'm dozing off, he speaks up.

"Hey Effs." He says.
"Yeah." I respond.
"How did you get pregnant?" He asks. I hesitate for a second.
"I don't know. Must be a miracle!" I say. But I do know. I just can't tell him.

I was raped in the Capitol.
