From a Saturday Morning
It's 6 a.m. and the world is trying to wake up
The pale January sun's playing hide and seek.
I play with him on the swing.
It's cold, so cold outside
And maybe I need a drink
To remember the kiss I forgot.
It's 7 a.m. and the world is waking up
The pale January sun's rising
I wait for him, still swinging.
I'm freezing in the silent park
And maybe I need a life
To forget the kiss I remembered.
It's 8 a.m. and the world has woken up
There's a tree covering the pale January sun.
I stopped swinging.
My hands are stiff and trembling
And maybe I need to leave
To understand the meaning of life.
It's 8.30 a.m. and I wish the world wouldn't wake up anymore
Wish I could feel the pale January sun.
I walked to a lake nearby.
The water freezes me to my core
And maybe I need to die
So I kiss my life goodbye.
