It was a few weeks later when we finally had our Star Wars marathon. It had happen to fall during Thanksgiving Break, which meant we could pull all nighters and not worry about being sleep deprived at school. Ned, Peter, and I had to save up money to buy the Millennium Falcon Lego set. Mufan, Aunt May, and Lola pitched in for our food and drinks. We had the movie marathon at Peter's since Mufan had to travel out of country for her job.

The boys had tried to explain how the whole movie franchise released their movies. It confused me, so we decided to watch the movies in order of how the movies played out. We had watched the prequel series with Anakin Skywalker and how he became Darth Vader first. Then we watched Solo, and Rogue One. Now, we were currently sitting in the living room eating pizza and watching A New Hope.

The three of us decided to take a break from the Lego set to eat. The Millenium Falcon was half way finished. My legs were pulled underneath me as I took a bite from my New York-style pepperoni pizza. It was large thin sliced of pizza with a crispy crust. Ned was folding it like a taco to eat from how easy it was to fold and to break.

"You know what I just realized?" Ned lowered his pizza into his plate. Peter let out a hum before taking a bite from his pizza. "I'm best friends with two spiders."

"Then you must have good taste, yes?" I grinned.

"I'd like to think so, yeah." Ned nodded.

"Talking about taste, Lina, how do you like New York's pizza?" Peter asked.

"It's good. I've only ever tried Italian pizza. Their pizza is thicker and have more flavors, like seasoning and toppings, than American pizza. There's also more cheese." I told him.

"So what I'm hearing is that you like Italian pizza more than New York pizza?" Ned pointed out.

"Yes." I gave a firm nod.

"As a New Yorkian, I am offended. But totally understand. Ned," Peter turned toward him, "we have to add Italian pizza to our bucket list."

"What's a bucket list? Why would you have a bucket filled with lists?" I pulled a face at the silly idea.

"It's just called that. It just means you write a list of things you want to achieve  or experience before you die." Peter informed me.

"Oh!" I slowly nodded to the meaning of it. "Then I need to write you guys a whole list of places you need to visit in Europe to add to this bucket list."

"We should totally do a Senior Trip to Europe!" Ned cheerfully suggested. "We can go to the places Lina suggests and go to places where Lina hasn't gone so she can also experience new places."

"That would be cool." Peter grinned.

"Huh, that would be nice." I smiled before taking a bite from my pizza.

"Hey guys!" Aunt May walked in through the front door, coming home from work. The three of us turned to look at her. She smiled in our direction as she closed the door behind her. "How's the marathon going? What movie are you guys on now?"

"New Hope." Peter replied. He grabbed his can of soda. "We had to watch it in order so Lina can under the timeline better."

"Lina, what's your take on the movies so far? Do you like them?" Aunt May asked.

"Yeah. They are good. MJ had told me how Anakin was attractive in the movies and she was not wrong." I told her. Peter choked on his beverage. We all turned to see if he was okay. He coughed, placing his drink down. I furrowed my brows and patted his back. "Are you okay?"

"Fine." Peter rasped out. He cleared his throat. Aunt May gave him a knowing look, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. "Totally fine. Went down the wrong pipe."

"Maybe you should drink some water, dude." Ned informed him, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Yup." Peter nodded and stood up from the couch. "Definitely need water."

"Anyways, MJ also said that Han Solo is her favorite and to keep an eye for him. We watched a movie about him though. Is he in more than one movie?" I questioned as Peter entered the kitchen.

"Yeah. Solo is one of the prequel movies. He should be coming on ton the screen any minute now." Ned stated as Luke and Obi-Wan Kenobi walked into a cantina.

"Oh, okay." I nodded, taking another bite out of my pizza. "Is he as cute as MJ says he is?"

"Why would we-?"

"Yeah. My mom and Lola love him." Ned stated, butting off Peter.

"He's a dreamboat." Aunt May grinned, walking over to us. She plopped herself on the couch beside me. Peter walked back and sat on the other side of her. May reached for a slice of pizza and took a bite. "Just wait until-oh! There he is!"

I was not disappointed. They were right. He was a dreamboat, whatever that means. Peter tilted his head to the side slightly. He glanced out the window of the living room. His eyes widened before he leaned back and nudged me from behind May. I furrowed my brows and leant back to give him a confused face. He started to tap Morse Code with his fingers. It was a signal the three of us created if Peter and I needed to go be the friendly neighborhood spiders. My eyes widened before I elbowed Ned.

"Ow!" He whined, rubbing his arm. I signaled the Morse Code. He gave Peter and I a small nod. "Hey, do we have any ice cream or snacks? I think we need some more snack. And some coffee."

"Are we out?" Aunt May asked, slightly confused. "I was for sure I got enough."

"We can go get some real quick." Peter said, getting up.

"Sure." I nodded, standing to my feet and stretching. "I can walk around some."

"But Lina hasn't watched these movies before. We can't just continue to play it." Aunt May said.

"The three of us will go. That way we can just pause it and come back." Ned suggested.

"That works." May nodded. She got up and went into the kitchen. "I'll see what we have for dinner unless you guys want to order takeout?"

"We can decide that later. We just had lunch." Peter said, quickly walking to the door.

"You guys are barely eating lunch? It's so late." Aunt May raised a brow.

"We had a heavy breakfast." Peter rushed out. She let out a hum. "Do you need anything from the store while we're there?"

"Laundry detergent and softener. Oh! And eggs." Aunt May

"Okay, we'll get those." Peter nodded. He waved us to follow. Ned and I were quick to follow after. "Bye, Aunt May!"

"Bye, Aunt May!" Ned and I waved before exiting the apartment.

"Okay, Lina, I'll go to my room through my window to get our gear." Peter turned to face Ned. "Ned-"

"I'll go buy the things Aunt May wants and some snacks." Ned finished.

"Cool. Break!" I clapped my hands together. Ned and Peter looked at me with a raised brow. "What? I did use that correctly, yes?"

"You did! You did." Peter nodded eagerly. He rubbed the back of his neck. "It's just, uh, we-we weren't really-"

"Excepting you to say that so soon." Ned said.

"Okay." I dragged out. "Our gear?"

"R-right. I'll get that. Meet me in the lobby. I'll hand you your things there. Ned, get the things we need for Aunt May."

"Got it." Ned gave a two finger salute.

"Okay, now we break."

"This has to be the worst fight ever." I complained, easily stepping aside to avoid a chair being thrown at me.

We were currently in a connivence store near Peter's apartment. A small group of guys were wearing black sheer tights over their faces and trying to steal money along with some random snacks. I was fighting in the area where people are able to sit at the small square tables and eat. One of the guys wanted to throw stuff at me. He was grabbing random things. Earlier he threw the big container of pickles at me. The lid came off and the juice got all over me along with the pickles.

"H-how is this the worst fight? Things are being thrown at you!" Spiderman crawled on the ceiling. He shot a web at one of the men. I gave him a narrowed look and pointed to my dirtied black suit. The stench of pickles was now starting to sting my nose. "I-okay, I kind of see your point."

"Kind of? I'm going to smell like pickles for a whole week!" I heaved a sigh, fed up with this guy throwing stuff.

I leaned my body to the right as he tried to throw a connected slushy machine. Not wanting to waste my time with him anymore, I pressed a pressure point on his neck. He collapsed to the floor in a heap.

"Jumpy, can you get the guy-" Spiderman pointed to the man trying to head out the front door. I ran towards him and jumped onto Jim's back. The poor guy fell face first onto the floor. I sat on his back while Peter started to web up the bad guys. "Thanks! Okay, Mr. Tights, I need you to stay still!"

"Why would I do that?" The guy responded, trying to avoid the webs.

Peter spun webbing around his arms and legs, causing the bad guy to fall to the ground face first. He let out a string of muffled curse words. Peter winced. Soon, the both of us rounded up the bad guys. They had their backs to one another. Peter spun webbing around the four of them.

"Okay, you guys stay here and behave until the police get here." Peter crossed his arms. He turned to face me. "Hey, Portia, you- uh, got something in your hair."

"It better not be a pickle or I am no longer eating the grumpy cousin of the cucumbers." I gritted out, reaching for it. I grabbed it and tossed it into the trash can. "I'm over this. I need a long shower. I just want to finish the movie marathon."

"If it makes it any better, I'll buy you mango gelato on the way back?" Peter sheepishly said.

"Double scoop." I gave a firm nod, walking out of the store.

🕷️

By the time we got back to the apartment, Aunt May had gone to pick up dinner for us. Thankfully that gave me enough time to shower and try not to smell like pickles. I had brought extra clothing just in case I needed to switch into a pair of joggers and a baggy shirt. When I came out of the shower, the boys were in the living room. Ned had fallen asleep on the couch, taking up all the space. Peter sat on the floor as he worked on the Lego set.

"Hey." Peter glanced at me with a soft smile. I replicated the smile and sat beside him. "I don't think you smell like pickles anymore."

"I feel like it's in my DNA now. It was on my skin for too long. I'm traumatized." I joked, reaching for a Lego brick to add.

"So now you're part pickle?" Peter chuckled out.

"More like grumpy cucumber." I grinned. "Should we still watch the movie? Ned is asleep."

"He's watched it a lot already. I'm sure he can recite words in his sleep. He'll be okay if we do continue to watch it." Peter shrugged. "Besides, it's his fault for staying up late yesterday when he knew we were having our marathon today."

"Okay." I nodded, grabbing the remote. I pressed play. "The movies have been good so far. I like them. They're my first movies I've watched."

"Wait, what?" Peter snapped his head toward me. He paused his movements from placing a Lego brick onto the airship. "You've never watched movies before?"

"Wasn't allowed to while I was a Widow. Didn't really have a choice in it either." I brought up a knee and placed my arm on it. I clicked the Lego brick onto the Millennium Falcon. "Movies are nice. Relaxing. I can see why people really like movies now."

"That's crazy and not fair at all. I hate that you went through that." Peter frowned.

I studied his face. He was being sincere about it. That's one of the things I liked about Peter. He was honest (well, excluding the whole secret superhero thing) and kind. Plus, he was attractive. The way his hair had a strand hang over his forehead. His brown eyes. He was a good guy. He cared, something I'm still getting used to.

"Really?" I glanced at him as a warm feeling settled into my chest.

"Yeah. You've missed an actual childhood growing up. Yeah, it's cool that you're like a badass, but you had no free will either. Just not fair." Peter mumbled.

"Thank you." I told him, a soft smile forming on my face. "You have no idea how much that means to me."

"I've got your back, Jumpy." Peter bumped his arm into mine. He gave me a smile and suddenly my cheeks felt hot. "Us spiders have to stick together right?"

"Yeah, Spidey, we do." My smile grew. "We're already on thin strings trying to balance our hero aliases and teenage life. Glad to know you have my back. I have yours too."

"I know." Peter grinned.

They're precious and I can't get over them.

Lina is starting to develop a cruusshhhh!

Also, Peter's nickname for Lina being Jumpy is just too cute. It goes to the portia jumping spider :) I thought of other names to represent her hero name, but something about Jumpy and the simplicity of it just makes my heart warm.
