Chapter 7

He awoke, heel of his hand pressing against his head. He knew he drank way too much. As he opened his eyes, he noticed that the artwork and the color of the celing weren't the ones in his hotel room.

He bolted up, only making his headache worse and pounding. He looked around, fearing that last night wasn't just something his mind made up.

His heart rate sped until he looked over at the open balcony doors. A chair was there, a bun with headphones was seen above it and to the side, you could see a sketchpad. He knew that better than anyone.

Walking steadily over to the door, he heard her humming and adjusting her sketches, the pictures clipped to the paper, her basing the drawings on the pictures and scenery. They where beautiful.

"Your awake," she said. He looked up and noticed her eyes on him, his where trained on her sketches.

"Yeah, why am I here?" He asked.

"Don't know, you where drunk when I found you and passed out before anything," she said. He nodded his head.

"You know, Macy was looking for you yesterday. Why did you end up in my room?" she asked. He just shrugged. She then turned back to her sketch and just enjoyed sketching things. he heard his phone buzzing and went to find it.

Yet again, it was Macy. He decided to not listen to it, last thing he needed was the whole house freaking out because she lost her head finding him in Charlotte's room.

Charlotte got up and then decided to head out first, he needed to escape.

"Jason, we need to get you out of here, I don't care where else you go, but you can't be found here," she said. He nodded in agreement. She opened the door and once she didn't see anyone, she shoved him out, and then walked off.

He slowly walked over to the stairs and started to walk down.

"Jason, honey," Macy said diving in on him. She wrapped her arms around him so hard and the shrill in her voice was giving him an even bigger headache.

Charlotte came into the area, looking around, her eyes watching the ground, yet again, more and more people all over the floor, sleeping off a hangover.

'Here we go again...' she thought, rubbing her forhead. Ignoring it all, she went to the kitchen and grabbed some water, before grabbing her things again and heading out. Last thing, se really wanted was to deal with all these people, its what she did last time, she will do it again, no one is really awake.

Besides, after the big announcment, she needed to be alone at the moment. She looked and saw Macy hugging him and screeching. Feeling something, she opened the door and was about to head out when a familiar face popped up again.

"Julian," She said. That sparked Jason's interest.

"Hey," he said, wrapping his arms around her in a huge hug.

"What are you doing back here? I thought you where gonna head on home till the wedding."

"I was, but I decided to stay, your gonna need company to the wedding and to enjoy your time. So what are you up to?"

She turned and showed him the hallway leading to the main room. Not to mention Jason and Macy looking their way.

"I see?" He said. Very slightly confused.

"I'm just heading out, I need to get out of here before everyone wakes up," she said. He nodded.

"How about I come with, I got nothing going on, how about it, Robinson?" he asked. She nodded, knowing she would love the company.

"Julian!" A voice said behind her. Julian had rolled his eyes but gave a smile to her. Looking, he also saw Jason and gave him a genuine smile. Macy came up and tried to act coi and sweet. He just gave her a fake smile and nodded to whatever she was saying.

"Well it was nice to see you two, but Charlotte and I need to take off, lets go," he said grabbing her arm and dragging her out.

"JULIAN!" she screamed and they raced into the streets, leaving the others to ponder at them.

"I never knew she was seeing him, how did she manage to get him," She had whispered, thinking that Jason didn't hear her.

He looked her way and noticed her eyeing the two and biting her thumb a bit. He tilted his head and watched them, but before either had figured anything out, groans and random speaking started to form.

"Oh no," she said.

"Macy dear, get me some water and asprin, please," her mother said.

"Guess we are on hangover duty," Macy said to him in pure disgust. he turned around and as he closed the door, kept looking out at them running off. She looked happy with her smiles and such. It was starting to bug him again, similar to yesterday.

Julian just kept pulling her arm and dragging her down to the market, not like she minded. Got her away from those people, the drunks, announcements, and the wedding.

Julian dragged her all over Paris. The scenery, the architecture, she saw a lot more than the other day when she first went out. Since she was with him, she enjoyed it a bit more. They where friends, and practically family since they had known each other since they where little.

Upon returning her home, they talked like no tomorrow, until the door opened and her father looked at them.

"Julian, how are you sir?"

"Mr. Robinson, hey...." he said. Charlotte knew that he didn't really agree with her father and step family. Julian had seen the after effects of the divorce, not to mention then forward after high school and during.

"Come on in, we where just about to eat," He said. Not waiting for an answer, he brought him in. Charlotte slowly followed in and while shutting the door, noticed that he placed Julian next to Macy, who was now in the middle of the two boys.

Her smiles and looks between them where showing, she kept directing them towards Charlotte, seemingly hoping to get a rise, but all she did was sit down across from them all and ignore them. Julian noticed this and smiled, Jason noticed this and scowled a bit.

Macy just didn't know what to say or do. So they mainly ate in silence, with their father trying to catch up with Julian, it seemed like they where trying way to hard.

Charlotte just watched as he looked more and more uncomfortable. However, she didn't know what to say or do to excuse them both, and no matter what she did, she knew her father, stepmother, or Macy would see right through it and try something else.

It was 1 against 3 here, and the odds where not in her favor. But ooking at him, she noticed that he looked like he was pleading with his eye for some kind of help. Now she knew she just had to take a chance.

"If you will excuse us, we have something to do," She said standing up, walking around and dragging Julian off with her.

When no one followed or protested, she thought she had made a quick getaway, until she heard Macy mentioning something about sleeping with him or getting something out of her, etc.

She snuck a look at the rest of them and was used to their banter of her. However, when she looked to the end of the table, Jason looked like he was about to break his fork, he was clutching it really hard and Charlotte could just see the veins and muscles in his hand and arm from her angle.

She pulled him into the main foyer and opened the door and stepped out.

"Why arn't you..." he started but stopped as she folded her arms and placed one hand on her forhead and covering her face.

"It's pointless. All 3 of them think on the same level, if I tried to stop them it wouldn't work," she said.

"And Jason?"

"I don't really know him much anymore. I assume he has a free mind and will think whatever he wants, but being around them for a while, I'm not sure."

"I see, I'm sorry," He looked down and seemed a bit defeated. Placing a hand on his shoulder, she smiled as he looked up at her.

"It doesn't matter. What happened, happened. Can't cange it as much as we want to. Now no more sad face, smile please," She asked.

There was just no way he couldn't smile with the way she spoke and thought. They started to chuckle a bit, laughing at themselves, however, not going unnoticed by someone who was in the library not too far from the front door.

His eyes just watching their interaction, his jealousy starting to become more evident, but he really shouldn't be. He can't control her life, who she sees, and besides, he was getting married soon, to her sister no less.

He walked away from the window, only to hear it open and shut and once the deadbolt clicked, he stepped out to see her smiling. She then walked towards him, unknowingly.

She looked up, her smile dropped as she saw his face, his jaw clenched.

"Jason?"
