Moon ran around her sleeping mother in circles. "C'mon, mommy! I want to play! Come play with me!" She barked. Moon's mom lifted her muzzle and shook her head. "It's in the middle of the night, my little Moon. Go back to bed." She yawned. "But I can't!" Moon protested. "Why not?" Her mom asked. "Because, it's a full moon! I am always hyper on a full moon! You knew that." Moon giggled. "Then it's always a full moon." Moon's father groaned from behind them.
"Exactly." Her mother agreed. "But mommy, daddy, play with me. And we can stay up for the middle night howl celebration!" Moon explained. "The what celebration?" Her mother asked. "Oh, right! The midnight howl! I completely forgot." Moon's father chuckled. "Well, in that case, let's go!" He said and jumped to his paws. Moon's mother got up as well and followed to two excited wolves out of the den.
