38 | Happy Sugar Freaking Life
Seira
I could totally pass as my dreaded nickname 'Raccoon' written on my I.D card now.
Dark bags highlighted my incredibly puffy eyes from crying and from my lack of sleep.
I even planned to skip work today but I decided that I've become so irresponsible lately so I have to go to work.
That and the fact that C.W's text this morning threatened to fire my ass.
I look like a drunkard wearing sunglasses on my way downstairs.
The upside of wearing it is that I don't have to engage in eye contact or conversation with anybody on the house.
Luckily, the only person awake besides me at 6:30 in the morning is Mrs. Goldberg but even I don't want to talk to her because of last night.
I made sure not get her attention as I crept behind her to get a pre-made sandwich in the table.
Suddenly she turned and I got caught trying to smuggle the sandwich that she made.
"You're not getting that sandwich if you're not going to tell me why you needed to creep behind my back."
I didn't move a single muscle.
She sighed and continued on what she was doing.
"I know you're guilty of something or hurt about something," she stared at me in a side-glance. "Whatever it is dear you got to apologize."
I looked down in anger, "What if it wasn't my fault in the first place?"
"Same thing, just apologize. Oh and, I'll be out of the house for 5 days so be sure all of you doesn't tear this place down before I get back."
I leaned in to my left to see what she is doing and I saw that she's actually organizing clothes in a bag.
She kissed my forehead, "Tell Georgia that I'm going to be out will you? Your father knows that I'll be visiting my hometown. And remember to apologize, okay?"
I hesitated to reply, "Okay."
I escorted her out and a minute later, Georgia finally graced me with her presence and I had to put my sunglasses back on.
'You got to apologize.'
Shut up!
'You got to apologize'
I don't want to! Stop!
'You got to apologize!'
"Georgia I want to talk to you!" I asked forcefully.
"Shut. Up. I don't want to talk to you."
Confused, I creased my eyebrows, "What's your problem?"
"You are."
I scoffed, "And here I was trying to apologize and you're acting like a stick in the mud."
Georgia suddenly laughed bitterly, "I don't forgive disrespectful brats."
"What is that supposed to mean?" I barked.
"You know what I mean."
I rolled my eyes, "Excuse me, you were the one who insulted me first yesterday."
"I wasn't talking about that!"
I crossed the gap between us and glared at her, "Then what is it! Speak up! I'm not a fucking psychic!"
"Apologize to dad."
I blinked and realized she was eavesdropping on us yesterday, "No. And it's none of your business!"
"It's MY business because I'm one of his daughters and you were disrespectful," she pointed an accusing finger to me.
I scoffed and smiled resentfully, "Oh PLEASE. There is nothing respectful about him."
Georgia slapped my right cheek.
I stayed still for a few seconds until my shock turned to pure hatred.
"And there is nothing respectful about you too! Why do you even side with him? He's just living like there's nothing wrong. I hate living with this fake ass family. And I hate living in a fucking lie! I don't care if you go on and think like everything is okay and mom is still around but not me! Its HIS FAULT mom died!"
Georgia slapped my right check again.
"Living in a lie?" she said softly and then she started to yell. "How dare you blame dad for mom's death! You don't know anything! And-oh! I HATE living in a lie too!"
"At least we agree about hating that!"
She laughed menacingly, "Do you know what else I hate?"
"I HATE sugar-coating shit for you so your sensitive ass can live normally. I'm tired of it, so finally, here's a fact for you."
Georgia leaned in to stare at my glossy eyes closely.
"It wasn't dad's fault because," she paused and whispered angrily in my ear.
"It was your fault."
