Elena. He'd cheated on you with Elena. And for some obscure reason you were driving over to the Salvatore Boarding House to find out why.
The door slammed behind you as you stormed into the house.
Stefan lounged on the sofa, a glass of Bourbon in his hand.
"We're over." You announced, crossing your arms over your chest.
Stefan's glass fell to the floor. "What?!"
"You know what you did." You stated, shaking your head and going to walk out of the door.
"Don't let her walk away brother," Damon called.
"Y/N, wait please I can explain."
"That would be good but I don't want to hear an explanation," you snapped, walking out of the house.
Stefan ran in front of you. "It was a mistake."
"I don't have time for lies, Stefan." You crossed your arms over your chest. "And I certainly don't have time for you." Ouch, bit harsh but necessary.
"Yeah, well I never had time for a insignificant human anyway," Stefan growled.
You bit back the tears before pushing past him and getting into your car.
The passenger door slammed beside you. "I didn't mean it."
You wiped away your tears. "Yeah, well you've said it now."
"And I wish I could take it back," Stefan whispered. "I'm sorry."
"You're a jerk sometimes," you muttered.
"True." Stefan ran a hand through his hair before taking your hands. "I kissed Elena because I needed to make Katherine go after her, not you. Elena's a vampire now and she can look after herself, but you, you're human Y/N and I could never live with myself if I got you killed."
"So you endangered Elena instead?" You shook your head.
"I asked her first." Stefan nodded.
"Hmmm, I forgive you." You squeezed his hands.
Stefan kissed your cheek. "Everything I do I do it for you."
"If you start singing I will drive a stake through your heart," you laughed.
