Damon Imagine (@lover_of_pain)

Imagine: you and Damon go out but you get super drunk and he's doesn't so he has to take care of you and your hangover.

I'm so sorry this took so long, as per usual life decided to interfere I had my driving test (which I passed thank goodness) and other such things came up unexpectedly. I hope you enjoy this I certainly enjoyed writing it! I'm so sorry it took so long! xx

"Kiersten? Earth calling Kiersten?" Your head pounded, your limbs felt like lead and your mouth had a bitter taste to it. This only meant one thing: a hangover.

"Shit..." You muttered, sitting up. The stars winked down at you from the sky above you. Whoa, what?! "Why the hell am I outside?" You flinched at the sound of your own voice. The birds chirping around you sounded like aeroplanes. It couldn't have been past two in the morning.

"You don't remember any of it do you?" The grass next to you rustled as Damon settled down next to you. A bottle of Bourbon gleamed in his hand, his daylight ring winking in the lights from the Salvatore Boarding house. "And it's only two in the morning. Damn, how much did you drink?"

"Any of what?" You grumbled, rubbing your head.

"Someone got a little bit drunk..." Damon mimicked downing his bottle of booze.

"What did I do?" You groaned, pressing the palms of your hands to your eye sockets.

"Well if you don't remember I could make it up...." Damon flashed you a mischievous grin.

"Damon." You stood up, immediately regretting the decision and stumbling forwards.

You were in Damon's arms before you could unceremoniously fall face first into the grass. "Careful tiger, let's just say last Friday night was interesting. I mean there's a warrant out for your arrest." Damon scooped you up in his arms, walking back to the Salvatore Boarding house. "You went streaking in the park and then we had a mange à trios."

"Katy Perry Last Friday Night, seriously?" You shake your head, resting your head on Damon's shoulder.

"That song was playing when we were at Mystic Grill..." Damon chuckled, kicking the door open and rushing up the stairs.

"Ugh..." You flopped onto Damon's bed, closing your eyes. "My head hurts."

The covers were pulled up to your chin and then a soft kiss planted on your forehead. "Go to sleep then, I'll nip out and get some pain killers ready for your awakening."

"Thanks, Damon," you muttered, turning on your side and drifting to sleep.

***

"There's a stranger in my bed,
There's a pounding in my head
Glitter all over the room
Pink flamingos in the pool
I smell like a minibar
DJ's passed out in the yard
Barbie's on the barbeque
This a hickie or a bruise."

"Didn't think you'd show, Kiersten." Damon smirked, his eyes roaming your body, the vampire in front of you making no effort to hide the smirk spreading across his face. You'd been dating for a year but you had exams coming up for your English degree and hadn't had time for anything lately. You hadn't had any time for Damon lately. Your boyfriend. Not a good thing.

"My last exam was today, that's why I wanted to meet up, I want to celebrate." You took the shot glass from Damon's hand and downed the contents. "What do you think?"

Damon's blue eyes lit up. "Well, when you put it like that how can I say no?"

You pulled your phone from your pocket and grinned into the camera, positioning yourself so that Damon would be behind you in the selfie. "Freedom at last," you laughed, taking the picture.

"Pictures of last night
Ended up online
I'm screwed
Oh well
It's a blacked out blur
But I'm pretty sure it ruled
Damn."

It had been about an hour in which you and Damon had tried the entire cocktail menu with the help of Alaric and now you were finishing your second shot of tequila.

"To my crazy, beautiful girlfriend!" Damon cheered, downing his shot.

"Let's dance," you laughed, taking Damon's hand in yours and pulling him into the throng of people dancing.

Alcohol sung in your veins as you wound your arms around Damon's neck. "It's been so long..." You whispered, pressing your lips against his.

Damon made a noise of approval against your lips, his hands now gripping your hips.

"Last Friday night
Yeah, we danced on tabletops
And we took too many shots
Think we kissed but I forgot."

Damon's lips were against your throat, his teeth grazing your neck. There was definitely going to be a hickey or a bruise left there tomorrow.

"Another shot?" You laughed, tugging Damon off of the dancefloor. Your feet had begun to ache after dancing for the whole hour.

The bartender poured out some more golden liquid into shot glasses. You downed another, and then took Damon's feeling the familiar fire in your throat as you drunk his.

"Last Friday night
Yeah, we maxed our credit cards
And got kicked out of the bar
So we hit the boulevard."

Okay so it turns out dancing on the table in The Grill isn't appropriate behaviour... It might have been Dirty Dancing...Especially when you jumped off of the table and actually re-enacted the famous scene from Dirty Dancing. Of course, Damon caught you and everyone cheered. Until Matt showed up and escorted you out of the bar.

"Come on Matt, don't be a party pooper." You grumbled as he led you to the door.

"You smell like a mini bar, I'm saving you from yourself." Matt chuckled, nodding to Damon who had appeared by your side.

"Last Friday night
We went streaking in the park
Skinny dipping in the dark
Then had a ménage à trois
Last Friday night
Yeah I think we broke the law
Always say we're gonna stop
Op-oh-oh."

Matt's police car was long gone. Heels in your hand you ran, laughing into the park. You dropped your heels and then your dress. Streaking, well semi-streaking, in the park.

"Dammit, Kiersten, stop!" Damon yelled, after you although he made no real effort to stop you. He leant on the fence watching as you swung on a swing.

Sirens sounded from your left.

"Shit..." You leapt from the swings and ran to Damon. He had barely any time to react as you leapt onto his back. "Hi ho silver away!" You squeezed his sides with your knees. Nothing happened.

"I'm not a horse and you're not the Lone Ranger." Damon didn't move.

"Please, run away. I don't want to be arrested..." You rested your head on top of Damon's. "Pretty please, with a cherry on top."

"But then Matt will arrest me too." Damon stepped forward and then stopped.

"Double trouble. I'll be Harley Quinn and you can be Mr. J." You ran your hands through Damon's hair laughing.

"Fine..." Damon chuckled, gripping your legs before he ran.

"Damon, not fair man!" Matt yelled after you both.

 "This Friday night
Do it all again
This Friday night
Do it all again."

It didn't take long to get back to the boarding house. Soon your feet were on the soft carpet and a leather jacket on your shoulders to cover you.

"What now, my lady?" Damon's blue eyes were bright under the lights. The smirk on his mouth was definitely mischievous.

You took his hand in yours, lifting it above your head and twirling under it. "Let's dance."

"Mmm... Normally when I'm dancing with beautiful girls it's because they're saying goodbye," Damon sighed, pulling you closer to him.

"I promise I'm not going to leave you," you whispered, hugging the vampire tightly, despite your drunkenness you meant every word.

"Trying to connect the dots
Don't know what to tell my boss
Think the city towed my car
Chandelier is on the floor
Ripped my favorite party dress
Warrant's out for my arrest
Think I need a ginger ale
That was such an epic fail."

You fell back onto the floor with Damon, staring up at the sky. "Isn't it beautiful how twinkly they are? They're just like millions of Edward Cullen's pinned to the sky so we don't get scared of the dark."

"I think you're entering the deep shit stage of being drunk," Damon laughed, holding your hand in his.

"I wonder if you connected all of the stars like dot to dot you would get a pretty picture..." You yawned, leaning your head on Damon's shoulder.

A light pressure touched your forehead, breath disturbing your hair. "I don't think they'd create a prettier picture then what's in front fo me," Damon whispered as you drifted out of consciousness.

"Pictures of last night
Ended up online
I'm screwed
Oh well
It's a blacked out blur
But I'm pretty sure it ruled
Damn."

"Damn," you muttered, sitting up. Your hair was a mess, sticking up in random tufts. Your temples and forehead throbbed to an uneven rhythm which made you feel sick.

"I left out a few details..." Damon chuckled, laying next to you. So he'd been the one to make you remember what you did... He gave you a glass full of water and two painkillers. "Bottoms up."

"Such as?" You squeaked.

"Well, pictures of last night went online-"

"Oh my god! I'm  an idiot, I'm so dead. I mean, what am I-"

Damon placed a finger to your lips, smirking. "That's not all, babe."

"W-what do you mean that's not all?" You shook your head, taking the painkillers as if they would make the entire situation dissolve.

"There's a warrant out for your arrest, and mine." Damon watched you carefully, his blue eyes staring into yours.

"Seriously, what for?" You shook your head, groaning.

"Public indecency..." Damon laughed.

"But I don't remember doing anything like that." You stared Damon down.

"Perhaps I left out skinny dipping in the dark..."

Instead of groaning and the rational ball of fear blossoming in your chest, you laughed. It bordered on a snort. "Oh well," you sighed. "We'll just have to top that next Friday night but for now I'm hungover. I need to recharge my batteries."

"I'll go get you some food, and I'll bring up some Marvel movies, I know you don't like romcoms." Damon winked at you, standing up from the bed and leaving you to think about your actions.

"Thank you, Damon," you called after him, wincing at the sharp pang in your head from the noise.

You were definitely going to make sure no influential music would be playing next time you got drunk... And perhaps take along a more sensible human who wouldn't join you skinny dipping in the dark...
