Chapter 1

The sun slowly rose to a bright new day, the sun flittered through the rugged curtains of her house. Sun shone down on her face causing her to awaken, she sat up rubbing her eyes and stretching. She got up and put her cloak on but kept the hood down as to not seem dangerous, today she would continue her search for the assassins hidden camp. A loud thud on her roof told her that one had just landed and was off again as quickly as it had made the noise, she jumped out the window and climbed on top of her house. She saw the disappearing white cloak of her most hated assassin, she ran after him quickly pulling her cloak over her face as she ran as to not give away her identity. She jumped from roof to roof and was soon running a few roof tops behind the white assassin, it seemed to her as though he knew she was there since he suddenly changed direction and turned his head slightly. Deciding to take a shortcut to try to catch him she ran across a rugged roof top and onto a shinier fancier one that belonged to one of the richer people in the town, when she got to the other side he was nowhere in sight.
"Mother of satin!" She cursed, she quickly ran back towards her home as she was expecting someone today. She quickly climbed through the same window she had gone through to chase the white assassin and pulled her hood down, the cracked wooden door opened to a person in a red cloak.
"You ready the others are waiting," he said his voice deep a firm, she nodded pulling her cloak back over her head.
"Lets go," she said looking back out her window once more, a chuckle came from the man.
"That white assassin jumpin on your roof again eh?" He laughed, she glared at him.
"So what I almost had him this time ugh!" She growled following him through the trees and towards the top of the large mountain she lived near, she glanced back once more and noticed the green assassin standing on her roof instead of the white as if they were playing a game with her. She elbowed the guy next to her, he glanced at her and noticed the green assassin on her roof.
"Lets head left to lead him off the trail," he whispered, she nodded and both veered left. She noticed the green cloaked man followed them slowly but she pretended not to notice, she knew that they had to start a conversation and quickly.
"So uhh who do you think the target will be today I mean the last target was easy and I easily killed him," she joked trying to start a quick conversation, the red quickly caught on and gave a chuckle.
"Yeah you did hmmmmm we might be targeting the naval ships nearby or maybe just maybe if the boss is in a good mood then we might get to target the captains fleet," he laughed, she laughed with him and noticed a glint of green in the corner of her eye.
"I hope we get captains fleet I mean come on the naval ships are as easy as pie but the fleet will be a real challenge," she chuckled, the conversation continued until they came to a dead end and began to climbed the rocks of a steep cliff. The green assassin was still going after them, they reached the top and stopped in the bushes watching him attempt to climb the way they did but he failed and slipped back down. Quickly they both jumped down blocking his only quick exit their arms crossed, by the expression on his face she knew he was shocked to have been caught.
"Hmph if it isn't the green youngster that works for those bastards," red whistled through his teeth, the green began to back up against the rocks knowing they had power to kill him at will.
"I-I-its not what it looks like trust me," he stammered, she rolled her eyes. His eyes were wide as she extended her hidden blades, she walked up to the green and held one of the blades to his neck.
"Your lucky I am in a good mood or your head would no longer be with your body mate now why were you following us!?" She growled at him, he was silent for a moment before replying.
"I-its my job, Alt...... the white assassin told me to follow you since you followed him this morning," he said obviously hiding the name of the assassin, she shoved him onto the ground.
"You ever mention us to your friends and your dead!" She whistled through her teeth before she followed red up the cliff and back into the bushes, she watched as the other three came to see what was wrong with the green.
"What happened we heard rocks sliding and thought you were in trouble," the one in the dark blue cloak croaked his voice raspy as if he were sick, he looked the green over only noticing a blade pressure mark on his neck.
"Did they say anything of use?" The brown asked, the white gave him a glare to keep quiet.
"They said they would probably attack either the naval ships or the captains fleet if lucky," the green croaked his throat sore from the blade, the white nodded.
"The caught you didn't they, no wonder you have a blade mark on your neck," the white assassin murmured, the green nodded.
"Yeah pretty much, good thing they left or I would probably be dead," he whispered half to himself, this got the others riled up. Red put his hand on her shoulder with his finger to his lips to make sure she stayed quiet, she nodded and continued to listen.
"Lets go incase they figure out we are here," red whispered too softly that she barely heard him, she gave a nod and began to silently follow him through the forest towards the secret camp her assassin group had made. They soon arrived and were given nods of respect, a feeling of pride at how far she and red had come since the day he found her half dead in the snow after a brutal battle long ago.
"Red, Gemma your here finally now we can all know what your new target is now," a pale grey cloaked assassin piped her voice filled with joy, Gemma rubbed her head.
"Tell everyone who is fit for an attack to meet us by the large rock ok," Gemma chuckled at how happy she seemed, she knew that the assassins who searched for their camp would not stop until they were found and killed since they had been slowly killing off their traitorous group until mostly no more than six or eight assassins remained. She looked around at her ever growing group of assassins proud of the fact that they would go through hell and back to protect her and red, she slowly followed red towards the large rock where a few of the stronger assassins had begun to go.
"What's the plan you two?" A black cloaked man asked, Gemma glanced at red both nodded to each other.
"We shall attack the captains fleet since the other assassins plan to attack it as well, if we manage to get the green assassin captured then the other four who seem to care about him will go and try to save him, the other two have been missing so they are no threat since I found their cloaks destroyed and blood covered in the forest on the southern part of the island, now me and red will take care of getting the green assassin captured while you wait on the shore for the fleet, as soon as you see it sneak up onto the boat that will act as the hind guard and once we join you and they set sail we attack the boats until we eventually get to the main boat where the green will be held, once we have control of the boat the three who come to rescue him shall surely die or well we shall capture them and torture them for the pain they cause us all," Gemma called, they all nodded and the large group set off for the shoreline.

*************

They soon reached the shore and Gemma gave the signal to wait, she noticed the green assassin moving through the forest not far away obviously not knowing of the large group nearby, Gemma and red snuck up behind him and knocked him over. Red covered his mouth until Gemma put a gag in his mouth, she then tied his hands together and held him there for a moment.
"Don't think we didn't hear you tell you group about us, so now you will all die," she chuckled before pushing him out in front of a group of guards, the guards instantly grabbed him and put him onto the main boat. Gemma and red went back to the others and they snuck onto the boat which would act as the rear boat so they had more cover and more cover with less chance of certain death. They were all soon tucked away on the boat as it sailed away from the island, Gemma looked through a nearby window and saw the other three assassins standing on the shore which was now far behind them. A smirk spread across her face knowing they would have to find another boat to save their lost comrade, they soon cleared the hind boat of all the guards and split into two groups and killed the boats off quicker then expected. Soon Gemma found that her group and reds group had both made it to the main ship almost at the same time, she eventually killed off all the guards with only two members of their group lost. Red went down with his group to guard the green assassin while it was her job to pretend to be captain as a distraction, she noticed a large ship to her right that was once the hind boat was now flying towards the larger one.
"TO OUR RIGHT LADS!" Gemma called, everyone braced for the impact as the assassins began to board the boat. The white one headed straight for her while the other two tried to save the green, she unsheathed her swords and managed to block an attack from the white.
"Why do you do this to us we have never done anything to you," the white said his voice strained as he fought, they found themselves in a sword lock.
"Oh yes you did, you left me to die!" Gemma screamed as she broke the lock, the pushed the white assassin to the ground placing her feet on his arms. His face was that of confusion not fear, she held her sword up but before she could stab down a new assassin who she had never seen before blocked her.
"You will not kill him!" The assassin yelled his golden cloak gleaming in the sun, she let out a scream of rage as he delivered a cut to her side. This drove her extra mad causing her to fight quicker then before catching him off guard, he stumbled backwards dazed for a moment before his eyes went wide as she drove her sword into his stomach.
"They will all pay," she whispered into his ear as he dropped onto his knees, the four assassins faces were filled with shock at yet another death to her hands. She turned to them her swords covered in fresh blood, the white assassin signalled for them to retreat back to the island so the four of them jumped overboard and into the swirling sea.
"Let's get back to camp now," Gemma growled, she turned the ship so quickly it almost turned on its side. She soon docked the ship and lead her group back toward the camp, they all cleaned their blades before leaving.
"You ok you seemed kinda mad once you killed that golden assassin," Red asked obviously worried for her, she nodded.
"Just fine now drop it," she growled at him, she let out a cough almost collapsing from the loss of blood from the deep cut on her side. Red caught her and helped her back to the group, it didn't take long for them to be surrounded by so many friendly and worried faces.
"What happened?" They grey cloaked girl squeaked her voice filled with shock, Gemma went to reply but red replied first.
"She managed to killed a golden cloaked assassin but got a deep cut to her side as well," red replied as if reading her mind, the grey cloaked girl ran to get the doctor who had agreed to help them as long as he was paid 100 coin a week. The doctor led red and Gemma to his hut where he let Gemma collapse onto a bed of vines and bamboo, he instantly began to clean the wound and stitch it up.
"Ok so no quick movements for a few days to let the wound heal but even then take it easy since this wound is pretty deep and can re open easily," he murmured aloud, Gemma nodded feeling lightheaded after the attack and the loss of blood. The doctor soon finished up and left Gemma alone with red, his face was filled with worry.
"You rest up but don't worry I will come to you with news and to ask what to attack until you have fully heal ok?" Red half asked half demanded, Gemma nodded exhaustion taking over her.
