Y/n Pov

After I don't know how long of traveling and sitting in that carriage, I finaly felt the ground of Ranoa's kingdom below my feet. We passed between mountain ranges and endless forests. "At last, the Capital of Ranoa's Kingdom. It looks beatiful, don't you think?" Irene asked turning to me and presing her hands into the sides of her waist. She was just a few steps ahead from me with Juliet and Heine right at her sides. 

I gazed up, looking in awe at the buildings and towers, right behind the city is the large academy, their researches are prized everywhere. "After you then Elsie Eleanor Dragnof." I chuckled and she waved her hand trying to stifle a laufgh. "Heine, Juliet stay close to me." She ordered and the girls took hold of their swords. "Yes my lady." Both stood straight and in attention.

Irene wanted to have them really act like guards and I felt people stare due to Irene wearing clothes only children of nobles would wear. I heard them clearly talk about us.

We stopped to look at the buildings once we arrived at the bridge between the academy and town. "There is quite the difference between people here, Elves, Dwarfs and even beastfolk." Rose exclaimed in astonishement.

We were stopped by a guard at the gates of the Academy. "Another princess?" He asked in wonder looking at her- "I'm Elsie Eleanor Dragnof daughter of nobility." She replied and the guard nodded. He began to check something on a lacrima. "Wow, your lineage goes back to before the Dragon civil war, we are honored to have you in our academy, your room and the room of your guards can be with you except him, he needs to be in the boys dormitory." He replied and then signed her in. "Princes Ariel will be delighted to have someone like her to talk with." He replied and opened the gate. "One more thing, you will have to atend an evaluation exam, its just a formality." He stated and let us pass. 

"What are we going to do now Y/n?" She asked knoting ehr eyebrows up. I thought for a moment and got an idea. "We should head for the main hall were all the students right now are."

The large main hall was easy to find and we found it quickly, heading inside I noticed two students standing in the middle. He used a spell to throw the other one down and seemed to have won. "Rudeus won, now for our next special student entrance we have Y/n and Elsie." A professor stated. 

I walked forwards lightly nervous and hands sweating. "How do you want me to show my strengh?" I asked and the professor shrugged. "That's up to you, you are free to chose any method you'd like, even facing off against other student is allowed." He stated nochalantly.

I chuckled silently. "I apologize for your beatiful school then." I replied and he stared at me in shock. "Quickly get the magic barrier up." He shouted as my magic increased. The building began to shake gently and the teacher clearly started to get nervous. "Young man I'm asking you to stop this at once, I don't know how long the magic circle can hold he stated. 

I slowly let go and he noted something in his book. "Without a doubt you could be a senior grade schoolar but as a special student you don't have to atend classes." He stated and then pointed with his pen at Elsie. "Miss Elsie Eleanor Dragnof, its your turn now." He stated and she nodded determined. She got close to me. "You are a bit of a poser." She replied and I chuckled. If she only knew I struggled to get my magic back down again, she would be furiously scolding me for endagering everyone here.

 I stood next to the guy wo did it before me. Irene, or rather Elsie now took place in the middle of the circle but something felt off. Her expression seemed paniced. "I need something to use my magic on." She stated and the teacher noted something. "That's an anusual request." He replied and she huffed. Irene stretched her hand out impatiently. "I'm an enchantress, unlike my parter I need something to use my magic on." She replied and something clicked in her suddenly. "Deus Corona." She chanted and a purple magic circle apeared underneath her. "Y/n would you be so kind and throw a punch at me. Give it your best." She asked and I looked at her dumbstruck.

I cracked my knuckles while nodding. I ran forwards and punched her as hard as I physicaly could. The contact between my hand and her caused a strong gust of wind throwing off a few lamps, but Elsie was left unharmed. "As you can see my enchantment prevented me from being hurt. I'm a master in enchantment magic." She replied and the teacher nodded.

The students clapped at her and the teacher noted something again. "I've never had this many extraordinarly strong mages in the academy, we will be delighted to see your journey. Rudeus, Y/n, Elsie, you are dismised for today. You will be first years, class starts tomorrow." He exclaimed and closed his notebook.

Elsie smiled at me happily. "I'm going into the dorm, see you tomorrow then Y/n." She stated heading out with Juliet and Heine."

I slouched down lightly looking at Rose. "Rose what do you think we should do, wanna head out into the city?" I asked and she shook her head." I think we should talk a bit with the other students, to gather some informations." She stated and pointed to the one called Rudeus who was now in company of a blonde Elven girl. I walked over to them and both noticed me. "Hi I'm Y/n, we seem to be in the same class" I asked and the guy nodded. "Yes, I'm Rudeus a pleasure to meet you. The girl smirked devishly. "I'm Elinalise Dragonroad I'm pleased to make your aquantance, we can chat privately in your room if you want." She stated and leaned fowards.

I crossed my arms defensively. "I don't need that kind of talk Elinalise, thanks for the offer." I replied and she pouted lightly before her expression changed winking at me. "I will get my fun with you." She teased and licked her lips. "You have a guy with you, why not take him?" I stated and she kept silent. It dawned me slowly. "Oh does he have some kind of vow." I asked and he looked away seemingly unconfortable.

I searched for the boys dorm and found it at the other side of the area, as far away as possible from the girls dorm. I shook my head lightly. "That was to be expected." I stated and Rose nodded in agreement. "Yeah, they don't want anyone peeping in the girls dorm. "Separate baths too, I guess."

I couldn't stop thinking about her. Elsie. That genuine happy smile, that somehow carefree atitude. Those scarlet locks and that lovely giggle. "Why do you smile so much right now Y/n?" Rose asked in wonder. Was I smiling? "I don't know what you mean Rose." I replied and turned to the dormroom I was given.

I opened the door slowly. The room was not too big and neither too small. It had one bed, a desk an empty bookshelf, a window, a dresser and kandless to light the room. I placed down my bag and sat onto the bed. Hanging on the dresser was nothing else then a school uniform. A white jacket with a red stripe in the middle going around the colar, with black pants and black leather shoes. right next to it were two belts. One for the pants and one for the jacket probably.

A knock on the door caught my attention. "Come in the door isn't closed." I replied and little did I know who could have been knocking on my door of all people.

Long Blonde hair and pointed ears was the first thing I noticed. "I'm sorry for barging in at this hour Y/n." She apologized and stepped inside closing the door behind her. I noted her outfit being rather risky for an academy. Her skirt was shorter then usual and her thighs were covered by thigh high stockings with overknee boots. Her jacket was also shorter then usual exposing her midrif. "What do you want from me Elinalise?" I asked and she sat right beside me. Crossing her legs "I just want to talk a bit and with your cute companion too." She added lightly touching Rose's head.

Irene Pov

Helpless. That's what I felt within me. When I tried to use my dragon slayer magic, nothing came as if I never had it. Did I screw up my transformation or did it turn me back completely to when I was fifteen? The reflection in the mirror was no doubt me and I felt the cold glass on the tips of my fingers. Tears were welling in my eyes. I hate feeling vulnerable like this. My sharp fangs turned back to normal human ones. My sense of smell, sight and hearing weakened and I didn't even realize it till now. "Juliet, Heine, please tell me this isn't true." My voice croaked. I clenched my hands as I saw their reflection in the mirror, one of pitty.

My legs gave in and I fell to the floor, tears spilling over, running down on my cheeks. Weak, helpless, useless. That's what was going through my mind. I'm nothing without dragon slaying magic.

A pair of warm arms embrassed me. "Juliet?" I questioned silently as a hand gently stroked my hair. "Young lady what happened?" She asked kneeling down to me. Her face full of worry. I gazed over to Heine who passed me a napkin. "My Dragonslayer magic, its gone." I sobbed pulling my legs towards my chest.

 Juliet hugged me again. "Young Lady, everything is going to be fine, just calm down okay." She soothed as best as she could. I shook my head, the feeling I had was worse than anything I ever felt worse then torture. "Nothing is going to be okay, god damnit." I shouted in anger throwing a brush away from me that I had grabed. My eyes felt puffy, they began to hurt.

"Do you have an idea how it feels to be useless?" I asked and both shook their heads in a no. "I do. Elsie." A softspoken voice reached my ears. I looked up confused to who was here. "Who are you?" I asked as I have only seen this person once. Blonde hair, azure eyes and no doubt she was of royal origin due to her way of moving. "I'm princess Ariel Anemoi Asura, I was walking by and heard you crying, I justed wanted to check on you." She stated and then walked forwards. She knelt down to me. "Fitz get some tea for us please." She ordered and the guard she was with walked away without a word. 

"If I'm not mistaken you are that girl which withstood the punch from the special student." She stated and then smiled softly. "That's quite the feat considering almost everyone there was shaking in their boots." She added and then helped me to sit on the bed. "When I'm sad it helps me to talk about it so you should too." She proposed and laid her hands down on her lap.

Talking about my problem? "I don't know if that helps." I replied and whiped away the tears. Heine and Juliet kept looking at her and me silently. "I lost the ability to use my strongest magic and without it I'm basicaly worthless." I replied holding my hands up to my face. "That's not true Elsie, you've got enchantment magic that's way more usefull than you think." She replied and I stared up to her now. "You don't understand, my other magic is dragon slaying magic." I replied and her face paled instantly. "Dragon slaying magic?" She questioned and I nodded.

"Yes, created to destroy dragons." I replied and stoped crying slowly. "It was a gift by one I call family." I said and she looked with pitty at me. "I understand, so it holds great sentimental value to you." Her words were soft. Juliet placed a blanked over my shoulder.

Sentimental value? If it was only that. The one who gave me this magic raised me from when I was born he was like a father to me. "He was like a father to me." I replied and she gazed over to the door.

She gave me a teacup. "If you lost your magic through an accident maybe you can get it back, we have lots of books about magic anomalies and more." She stated placing down the cup on the nightstand. "If you have problems you can always talk with me. I've lost those dear to me too." She took her cup again and drank it out slowly. "I hope we can become friends, I have to go now, see you tomorrow."

The door closed leaving me with Juliet and Heine alone. Staring at me confused to what just happened. "Young Lady do you feel better now?" Juliet asked taking my hand in hers. "I do, but I've got lots to work on."

I'm going to become stronger even without dragon slaying magic.
