Y/n Pov

The scent of fresh morning air mixed with the sound of birds chirping calmly in the trees was calming for my mind as after every morning training I laid down right under the tree in Irene's garden to rest and just stare at the breathtaking view. Running a mile and then doing body strength training was worth it when the reward was this rare view. On top of that I get to eat one of her freshly made pies as well. 

Right after I had cured Irene from her condition she took a while to adjust. She slept three entire days in her bed, she wasn't waking up to anything not even an explosion right outside of her bedroom. In the end she woke up like nothing happened, not believing us she slept this long and through all we tried to do.

But right now, I was inside of the Vistarion palace walking with both Heine and Juliet right at both my sides. A light huff followed by a stomp on the ground caught my attention. "This is unfair, why can Irene-san spend time with him even in the onsen! Why are we only allowed alone without him." Juliet wined and I felt a light shiver run down my spine. Heine turned towards her with a glare. "That's your own fault." Heine scoffed. "Remember last time we were allowed to?! Irene ran in on you being right on top of him with nothing on." Heine stated and I blushed a shade of pink. 

"That sounds way wrong Heine, it wasn't like that, besides you too were quite close to me." I said and Heine turned her face away. She stuttered lightly. "I only wanted to be helpful to you by washing your back." She murmured and Juliet jumped forwards pointing at her with a smug smile.

"I knew it you have the hots for him." She shouted out for everyone to hear. Heines face grew quickly red over it and she hid her face behind her hands. "No, I'm not, you idiot!" She squeaked out embarrassed. 

Her hands lowered down. "I've just never seen a guy in nothing but his bare butt before." She replied timidly.

I gave both of them a dumb struck look. "I thought you had seen a lot of guys with Irene in the past?" I replied and she shook her head while looking at me still embarrassed and cheeks flushed. "Well, we had to do with a lot of soldiers but those were mostly adults and tall who treated us like sub servants or children but you, it's a bit different." She whispered and then gently touched my arm. "You were the first one to be kind to us and treat us like real human beings. Even if we know each other only since a few days." She said the last part while turning away slowly.

Why did Irene come here into the Vistarion palace in the first place, everything we had to do was easily done at her home and if she needed something from Zeref then she could just use a Lacrima. Was it for safety reasons?

The familiar sound of heels clacking started as soon as a giant wooden door opened a few meters in front of me. Two people walked out with quite a bit of space between each other. "I'm unsure your majesty but your curse might not be breakable by his power, he does not posses the full power of a deity, only certain amount." Irene spoke and looked at what I could understand to be a clipboard.

A light sigh came from the person known as Zeref with a shoulder shrug. "I already thought as much Irene, we cannot break Ankhseram's curse. No one can except another god." He replied and then stopped in front of us looking right at me with a little smile.

"Your Highness." We all stated and stretched our backs out hard. "As you already know Zeref-sama, I'm going to be training Y/n for the next few years until he's strong enough to face him." Irene stated and walked right up to me placing her hand on my shoulder. 

Zeref chuckled lightly as his eyes trailed to her. "I already agreed to it as he's another key in the defeat of Acnologia the black dragon." He stated and then fixed his eyes right on me. "Don't disappoint me Y/n." 

His tone immediately caused my blood to curdle and sweat forming on me as his aura was going darker the surrounding air was feeling heavier to me. I couldn't breathe properly anymore and started to hyperventilate. 

I fell on the ground right when it stopped. "Anyway, I hope you have a great time with Irene, she's an extremely caring person and a mother too." He said and then turned around waving right at me.

Irene is a mother? I couldn't believe someone like her has a child. Were those silent sobs I heard at night really from her remembering her daughter? Who knows what happened to her.

I looked back up panting looking at Zeref walking back right into his office room. "Irene, I want you to train him as effective as possible, you are hereby dismissed from any task I would normaly give you to make." He stated and she furrowed her eyebrows in wonder. "Zeref-sama are you sure, I'm one of the strongest of the twelve, it wouldn't be wise to keep me from doing my research." She stated and he nodded.

His eyes trailed back to me. "I'm aware of it Irene, my goal will just shift back a few weeks but what we will gain is impossible to miss." He stated and she nodded. "I understand your highness, but I can still ask for tasks as long as it can benefit Y/n's training right?" She asked pressing her hands into the sides of her hips.

"Of course you can, you can do what you want with him." He stated and then raised his hand. "You are all free to go and do what you want, I'll call you if needed." Zeref exclaimed and shut the door behind himself.

Irene knelt down in front of me smiling warmly. Come on we got quite a lot ahead of us to do." She chimmed and pulled me up by my arm. I looked right at her and I could't help but notice the warmth she was emiting. "Zeref said something of you being a mother." I asked and she tensed up a little.

Her gaze shifted away from mine. "Its a long story but I've got no idea where she is." Irene whispered. "I could just leave and go after her but I promised I'd train you." She stated and let go of me. "Now come, we have lots to do." She exclaimed and smiled again happily. But behind that smile I could sense pain and sorrow.

Vistarion, a buzzing City with people enjoying the day Walking along the streets and looking at the various vendors. It was a nice change of pace. "Irene-sama do we really need to carry all this." Heine protested and lifted the bags she carried upwards.

Irene turned around staring down at Heine with a glare. "What? I've told you I had to run some errands." She replied offended and crossed her arms.

"Those errands look awfully close to sweets." Rose chimmed in and I nodded closing my eyes. "I agree but she also bought a cooking book, several strange looking powders, and an apron." I replied and I swear I could see Irene blush faintly.

"If I had to guess Irene-sama found a new hobby and its cooking for you Y/n." Juliet yelled out and Irene gave her a glare. "Its not like that he needs to eat plenty of high value foods in order to gain strengh so I thought the best solution would be to make it on my own fresh." She stated and looked at her notes. "We still need to go to the farmers market." She murmured.

"She's a tsun tsun tsun dere." Juliet chimmed and Heine giggled. "I think you mistook it Juliet, Irene-sama is a dandere." Heine stated and I gazed towards Irene who was completely in another world. "Irene, what are you searching for, you know this is a wedding store you are looking at?" I stated and she kept looking at a brides dress dreamily humming softly.

Rose flew up right to my shoulder. "I think Irene's brain is cooked through. Someone must have done something to make her go from an emotionless maniac to a mushi dandere who would love nothing more then to cuddle all the time." She stated and I felt two sets of eyes oogle me from the side. "What, I've done nothing." I yelled and both of them just giggled looking away shyly. "You've got no idea. Y/n" Juliet stated chuckling.

Heine screamed out in shock. "She bought it!" We all yelled out and Irene turned to us surprised. "What?" She gave us a clueless stare.

"What's going on with her." I said and Rose put her paw under her chin. "You've been the only one who has spent time with her the last few days since the cure so there isn't much to think about, it has to do with you certainly." She stated and I looked at Irene with wide eyes.

She had a content smile on her like everything was going fine and I could even hear her hum softly while walking down the street to the market. Did she get a letter recently from someone she likes? Or did she get feelings for a certain person? I cured her sickeness, maybe she's just really happy that she can finaly live her life like she wants and used to.

Irene Pov

Row after row from freshly picked vegetables and freshly cooked goods laid out on stalls all over the market. Their scent was delightful. "How much is this entire crate of carrots?" I asked the owner and he thought for a moment. "Lady Irene, that's a surprise to see you here." He exclaimed and I smiled happily. I'll be here every week probably. "Its 20.000 Jewel, but are you sure you need an entire crate?" He asked and I shrugged. "I don't really know, I thought its best if I buy them in bulk." I stated and he ohed. "I understand. You should buy enough for one week so maybe just 2 kg of carrots would be enough for a week." He stated and then motioned with his hand to his other goods, radishes, potatoes, leeks. "I'll take 2 kg of everything then please." I replied and he smiled overjoyed.

"Of course Lady Irene, it's a pleasure doing bussness with you, that will be 20.000 Jewel for all." He replie and I handed him the notes. I'm glad he's so kind and helpfull.

"Irene-sama, what are you cooking up?" Juliet asked and I looked to my right. "I'm preparing Y/n's weekly meals, if we want him to train effectively he needs to eat healthy." I stated and she deadpanned. "She's totaly nuts." I heard Heine whisper. "What was that!" I asked and she tensed up. "I'm sorry Irene-sama." She squeaked and I laughed softly.

Where can I get fresh cuts of meat. Maybe from the small village nearby my home on the other side of the mountain? They have a hunter surely. That would just be an hour walk maybe less. I could also hunt them myself but cleaning it up would be a mess. 

"Irene watchout." Y/n shouted and I stared up to see just in time a heavy carriage rolling towards me at high speed when I got tackled to the ground.

I let out a pained huff laying on the ground. I looked up to see Y/n hunched over me with his arms pinning me inbetween them. Our eyes locked immediately. "Irene you need to be more carefull, that carriage would have crashed into you if I wasn't here." He stated and I blushed as he was extremely close to me. If only he was older or I was his age.

He moved away so I could stand up. "Are you okay? You seem to be lost in your thoughts?" He asked and I felt my legs wooble lightly. Still dizzied by what had happened. I gave a quick nod. "Yeah I have a lot to do in order for our training to begin properly. Zeref gave me some instructions but I can't really understand some." I replied and he cocked his head to the side. "Like what?" He questioned.

I blushed faintly as I remembered one. "Well, in one of the books he gave me I'm supposed to let you rest on my lap with your head." I replied and I quickly noted all of them having flushed cheeks. "Irene-sama are you sure Zeref didn't give you one of those strange magazines by mistake." Heine asked and I ohed.

Zeref had a strange taste for magazines and novels with scantly clothed girls. That's why it had such a strange title. "I got reincarnated as a child in a magic world to save it from the evil emperor with 2 busty Heroines and a flat loli as my team."

Come to think of it, I saw the demons he created as well, both had a large bust with wide hips with a risque garb as their attire. I tapped my finger on my chin lightly as it doawned me like a pang.

Even used to wear clothes which someone would find in a brothel rather then outside and my chest was quite vissible. I deadpanned as Zeref wanted me to wear those Which clothes at all costs. "What a pervert." I snarled and clenched my hand tightly.

"Are you alright Irene, you spaced out." Y/n asked startling me a bit. I felt my heart jump a little. "Yeah I'm alright." I replied sheepishly.

Why am I feeling like this ever since he cured me a month ago. My emotions have been ragging inside of me going all over the place. Every time I see him I can't help the little smile. I want to just hug him constantly.

3rd Person Pov

On a Mountainrange far away from the main city of Alvarez there was a building all alone standing proudly in the rays of the sun. It was none other then Irene's home which was right now occupied by herself, her two enchanted swords, a talking cat named Rose.

On the outside everything looked calm but inside, a storm was about to be unleashed from something Irene proclaimed. "I'll be heading out with Rose to the nearby town. I'll be back in an hour or so." Irene stated and flipped her hair gently back.

Her body was cladd in a rather unusual dressing. She dorned pale blue jeans toghether with a white blouse and dark red sweater. Lastly her legs were hugged by kneehigh boots.

"What no you can't leave me here with these two." Y/n yelled out in panic running up to Irene. "Do you remember what happened last week." He addded and his face grew quite red.

Irene chuckled softly while placing a hand on her mouth. "Don't worry, I told them to be nice to, whatever I say they will do." She replied and Y/n paled instantly. "That's the problem Irene, they are throwing themselves at me." He shouted and she laughed again. "Bye." She smiled and shut the door with Rose right beside her.

"This is bad." He murmured into his breath. He walked right back to the living room where Irene had placed down some things for him. 

Y/n Pov

A strange feeling of uneasines spread through me while I bend over the things Irene had bought for me. It was a lacrima in the shape of a rectangle and right next to it a book about how to make a girl fall in love with you. "That's strange, I don't remember Irene having that with her."  I mentaly said. It must have been from Rose but it can't be bad to read it. Can it?

"Y/n-sama." A rather soft voice called out behind I turned around to see Juliet smling softly at me. "Juliet, do you need something?" I asked and she nodded. "Yeah, Heine wanted to ask you something." She replied and I let out a small sigh. "Listen Juliet if this is one of your jokes again then I swear you'll be hanging down from the ceiling." I replied and she raised her hands up defensively. "It isn't I swear, I learned my lesson from last time." She backed away.

I shrugged and followed her quietly. There wasn't anything for me to do anyway right now. Irene had told me to not leave the house until she's back. We walked right into the kitchen I noticed Heines dark blue hair. "Heine what  do you want to ask me." I stated but the moment she turned around my breath was taken away when she uttered those words. "Y/n-kun." She gasped out cutely. Her cheeks grew a pinkish hue.

She moved a strand of her hair away from her face with her hand she fiddlled around nervously. "I-I wanted to ask you if you'd want to spend some time outside looking at the stars tonight with me." She squiaked out.

I looked her directly in the eyes. I could feel it. She was anchious. Her eyes almost trembled while waiting. She seemed scared. "Yeah sure. I can make some time." I replied and she almost jumped up.

She smiled brightly. "I can't wait for it." She replied and then turned back around. "What are you making?" I asked and she let the rolling pin fall down from her hold. "Irene told me to prepare dinner for us, I'm making a meatpie." She nervously replied.

I couldn't tell why but looking at her making dinner somehow caught something in me. Usualy Irene would do it but why is she doing it like its normal for her.

I walked out from the kitchen slowly and Juliet followed me again. "What do you want Juliet?" I asked and she giggled softly. "Nothing really, I find it funny how Heine who's usualy so stern cracks around you and becomes softspoken and meek. It has probably to do with the last training you did." She added and then came closer. "I've noticed other girls oggle you as well, you could court all the ladies easily." She smirked.

I rolled my eyes and gave her a flick to the forehead. "You talk too much." I replied and she pouted.

A/n: I've decided to flesh out the earlier chapters of the book with more story in Alvarez and a completely new story arc. I hope it will make for a fun time to read. Story part released at 29.12.2023.
