A Royal working day

Y/n Pov

Two months passed since we became the rulers of this kingdom and I could only wonder what was going to happen in the future. I gazed out of the window from my seated position in the office chair to the large mountain in the distance which from what I heard is the main stay of Alphas and Grandeeney as both take their energy from that place. Grandeeney takes it from the air and Alphas from the sun which is almost year in year out visible up there with exception of winter. The middle of the mountain is almost always surrounded by fog and rarely without, today wasn't such a day sadly to see it in full view. I could see Alphas fly down from the mountain towards Dragnof like he usually did. I grabbed the cup which was filled almost to the brim with something that Irene called Dragons brew, a strong coffee that has a very fragrant fruity aroma made from a coffee bean which is collected from the feces of a dragon like animal called a Drakin, its the size of a cat that eats the fruits of coffee plants. I stood up and walked closer to the window taking a sip from my mug.

"What are you looking at dear?" Irene asked as she walked up to me from behind placing her head on my shoulder. I looked at her smiling lightly "Just taking in the view of Mt Dragnof, its astonishingly beautiful to look at and so breathtaking." I replied and she nodded silently. Her eyes shifted down to the mug quickly.

"You like it?" She asked, a smile slowly showing on her lips from it. "Yeah I do, its something I've never had and you are sure its ok for you to drink?" I asked and she gave me an offended look before stealing the mug from the window sill and taking a sip. "I know that I'm allowed to drink it but not too much, just one sip is enough for me anyway to relish in its aroma." She swooned over it before handing me the cup again. "Seven months in, its going to be a little harder from here on." She stated and I blinked a few times. "Huh?" I exclaimed and she sighed. "Nothing." She shot back turning around to leave but a she stood still all of a sudden. "But I just remembered that there is a traditional ceremony done in Dragnof, all its citizens usually travel to it once in their life and there is a ceremony when the crown gets passed down, I witnessed it on my own coronation, there is a lake up in the mountain with crystal clear water, its extremely cold but its effect is rumored to heal your body and soul." She said and I then perked an eyebrow up.

"We need to make the water ceremony for Erza too as when the child of the queen is born it will be brought up to that lake to have it bath there." She explained to me while pointing to the mountain. I nodded as I still had to know all the traditions in Dragnof, it made me excited to know them.

"Let's see what the statistics say about Dragnofs people." Irene said and turned to the lacrima on the desk activating the archive's data about the overall statistics of citizens. I gazed up to the numbers and they didn't seem to tell me much. "This is indeed good, the happiness of both women and men has been going up steadily since I've eliminated those pests and our Dragons seem to have done their fair share of duty to find them, I have let them be interrogated by doctors and psychiatrists, turns out most of them had a medical condition and were borderline insane they even yelled corsets and bras are a way for men to humiliate women but truth be told they both were invented by women for comfort which makes this really hilarious as they don't seem to do research at all. But Alphas took maters in hand and cured them, in one way or another." She said and scrolled down the statistics. "Oh this is a surprise for sure." She said happily and showed me the statistic of intercourse between men and women, the casual sleeping around has been almost stopped due to Irene's law to stop the ongoing problem of women being used to men's profit and women thought just because a rich man was sleeping with you he wanted to marry you, mental health has declined because of that and made women think they deserve the best of the best, which isn't true you deserve what you work for. The liberation of women came to a hefty price and that's responsibility which a lot of them are lacking or don't want to have. "Its a good thing I changed the laws of marriage too to those in the past, so that women cannot abuse it and they have to give a real reason to divorce or it will not be given. A kingdom run by idiots is bad but a kingdom that gives in to idiots is even worse." She said and then switched the lacrima off.

A hefty sigh escaped her lips while she rested her hands on the window sill looking down to the city. "There is still something that is bothering me and I'm afraid to address it." She trailed with her hand on the window.

"And what is it?" I asked and she gave me a solemn look. "When I took a walk through the city I've noticed that the children the woman had with them, a few weren't related to the father. I believe that the laws which were before I took over again, caused them to be able to lie about it they made paternity fraud and men had little possibilities to be protected by that abuse, the government which took place during the 400 years took rights away from men to protect the lies of women and they face almost no consequences with their actions." She explained and my jaw dropped from the shocking revelation.

"During my 400 years as a Dragon I often searched for hiding places near big cities to observe them and I noticed that if women can abuse a system to their advantage they are more then likely to do it, feminism has taken away the rights of men, and women don't face nearly as much consequences as they should they took accountability away from women and blame everything that happens on them to men even if they didn't even have to do something with it." She said and then crossed her arms.

I leaned on the wall next to the window looking at her. "What will you be doing to solve it?" I asked and she let out a deep sigh. "Something that's going to destroy trust in women quite a bit, but its a necessary evil to make them realize their mistake and the damage they did." She replied and sat on the chair. "I'm going to make DNA tests mandatory for all and especially at birth." She said and started to write. I was curious on what she wrote and kept looking at it.

A few minutes later Irene was done with her writing and was overly proud of the result. "A perfect change to the abused society. Its really hurting my motherly instinct to see so many families going to be destroyed but I'm not fearing the consequences, I know what's going to happen and they should really take it like adults." She said and passed the law by stamping it. "Lets see how they are going to like this." She smirked and I knew that there was going to be quite the fuzz on it.

"I'm truly blessed to be with you Irene." I said and she smiled at me before giving me a cheek kiss. "I know and I love you too much for ever trying to hurt you in any way." She replied smiling and pulled me towards the outside to the nearby garden where Erza was resting. "Erza come on we will now visit the general and the legion recruits he has been training." Irene spoke softly.

Erza picked up Rose who was there with her and let out a small yawn. "Sure I wonder how many we did get to recruit." She said and we headed for the training grounds.

Heavy footsteps could be heard coming from the areal as we got closer and saw the few men that Irene had asked to join.

"General Balius I've come to inspect the advancements you've made with the poor men of the town." Irene said and walked next to him.

The general got startled making his armor rustle at Irene's voice. "Your highness." He exclaimed saluting her. "I have recruited all the beggars who you talked to it was a full success and they surprisingly show quite the willpower to become strong soldiers, I was skeptic at first since a few of them didn't know how to tell left from right, but we found a way and now it works flawlessly. Its remarkable what people are willing to do when you give them a possibility." He said and Irene waved it off. "It's not hard to know what you have to do when you know how people think, I had lots of time to study and I came to the conclusion that using peoples psychology to my advantage is far better then any war or forceful threat, its easy for a woman to use that to her advantage and that's why I'm doing it." She exclaimed and the general was dumbstruck with his mouth agape.

Irene crossed her arms and gave a resentful look. "But its very dangerous to do, I could abuse it and destroy everything that I love, power can so easily grow over ones head this is why I always had men around me to make sure I didn't do anything irrational as a women is most of the time not thinking logically or rational, we are emotional beings made to care for our closest ones, not wager on wars and lead countries, my blood is rare but as my mother ones told me, use your gift wisely and you can achieve greatness use it carelessly and you will spill blood everywhere." She said and looked up into the sky. "My mother also said a woman's biggest power lies between her hips, it can create life and when she is having a child men will willingly protect her until their last breath as the children born are the ones who will bring our world and history further to flourish." She said and then smiled happily. "When I was older I understood Mothers like fathers are the most important people in our society and my kingdom was exactly that, a place were family was the most important in your life and highly celebrated, a strong family is a happy family a happy family is one which makes happy people therefore a kingdom which is all about its strong family bonds will hold together until their last breath and fight every tyranny. Sadly not every man is a good husband such as I had and when I turned into a dragon he  showed me a side I never knew, he was always so loving and caring until that day." She said and then stopped to talk.

Erza raised and eyebrow and the general placed a hand under his chin while Rose flew in front of Irene. "So if I get this right you can influence peoples decisions to your liking by just being a woman?" She asked and Irene nodded slowly. "I do Rose, a woman's greatest power is her influence on the other sex, we can either make them become the best people with the highest ambitions or we could ruin everything and even drive them insane." She explained with a bitter smile.

"Mother, in what sense do you mean this." Erza asked and Irene laughed softly. "How do you think these civilizations came into existence, it was women who made men come up with ideas to protect them, everything men have ever done was find better ways to protect women and the children who could not always rely on the men's protections when they were out for hunting. Early towns had wooden walls to keep the beasts out of the homes and make defense easier in case another tribe attacked, its not different now but if women feel too secure they become arrogant and cocky lose respect to men and you have a society which is slowly falling apart, yet they forget who made all this possible in the first place. Without men we'd more likely still be living in caves, not that it would be but all that we have invented was made from men for women to have it easier in raising the children." She spoke carefully so that we could understand it. "These women who I had ordered to kill or to throw out of my kingdom were the type of person who is destructive and wants to be above all, someone who cannot take no for an answer and will ultimately doom everyone around them, in short idiots and crazy people who should be silenced, I've ordered to execute three men who wanted to actively kill people just yesterday and crazy radical feminists too are on the list of sentenced people."

"I see, so if I want Y/n to do something I would just have to use my feminine wiles and he will make it possible?" Erza asked curiously and my eyes slowly widened. "Of course he would, a person who loves you will do everything to make you happy but you should not abuse it, it might come back one day and bite you." Irene warned her with a glare.

Erza shuddered lightly and made a girlish squeak making me laugh. "Erza you just have to ask me nicely and treat me like you've always done, with love and affection and I will do what you like if I find it ok." I replied and Erza was slowly blushing darker.

I raised and eyebrow as I was suspicious on it. "What are you thinking about that you are blushing?" I asked teasing her and I slowly smirked at her. She turned away hiding her face. "Nothing really, just that you could feed me strawberries while I lay on your chest." She squeaked out.

Alphas landed behind us and turned into his human form. He wore a white and blue doubled that was adorned with golden frils on the shoulders. Right next to him was Belserion coming from the palace, he's our advisor with his vast knowledge of humans and magic. "Irene I've been going through the old archive and found that the armory of 400 years ago still exists." He pointed out and Irene ohed.

"Really, I forgot about it. We should go and see it." She said and Belserion pointed to the palace side. Irene turned to my father looking at him. "Alphas did you find something out on the mountian?" She asked and he nodded.

"There is some minor change on the mountain but nothing to worry about just a small mine which is abandoned that wasn't there 400 years ago." He replied and Irene exhaled in relief.

. . .

We were at the side of the castle and looked at a wall that had the image of a knight on it and around it seemed to be the outline of a door. "Its sealed shut and there is no way to open it as there is no key hole." The General spoke.

Irene laughed softly and rolled her eyes while walking in front. "General Balius, this right here is one of the main reasons why we were able to fight the dragons, weapons and armors that were forged from the highest skilled smiths in Dragnof, enchanted with magic well beyond your wildest dreams so destructive that the etherion cannon of the magic council seems like a small water stream next to a deadly river with water knocking you of your feet, these weapons behind this door can create a new war if they go into the wrong hands." She warned and then smiled.

"As of opening it only works with my blood and those I give the authorization to enter." She added with a smug grin placing her hand on the knights open hand.
