The voices of groaning, moaning and huffing were clearly heard in the gym. Dominic was a ruthless fighter. Both Valerie and Dominic were drenched in sweat. Valerie was blocking and dodging his attacks and Dominic was doing vice a versa. Neither of them were ready to accept the defeat. The people present in the room were in awe.

Cayden who was returning from the forest after a good half an hour run, only in his boxer shorts heard the painful cry of his mate. His ears perked and he ran towards the gym. On entering he saw crowd watching something very intently. Pushing the crowd back who were mesmerized and were in some of trance, he managed to got a clear view.

He himself was astounded by watching the scene getting unfolded before him. Valerie was moving with agility during fight. He knew he should not get aroused by this but his hormones were running overdrive. Valerie took a whiff of air and was met with her mate's arousal. While blocking one of Dominic's fist, she looked around and found the greyish orbs of Cayden.

"Control" she barked to no one in particular and the pack members looked towards each other in confusion but Cayden knew the order was for him. He tried to tame his emotions and his hormones. The fight went for another fifteen minutes before it was interrupted by the excited shrill voice of a girl.

Valerie looked towards Dominic who ceased every moment of his body. The rest of the pack members also dispersed aware of the fact that the adrenaline rich combat is over. Jason helped her in removing the gloves and handed her the towel and water bottle. Cayden was shooting daggers at him and seething in jealousy, as another male was taking care of his mate which didn't set well with his beast.

"Speak" Valerie ordered the girl who was standing at the corner.

"Your mother and siblings are back. They are waiting for you in the office." The red headed girl named Sasha spoke in excitement.

Valerie nodded and told her to leave but she noticed her still standing rooted at the ground. She looked towards her and found her looking towards Cayden intently. The snake of jealousy coiled in her stomach, She cleared her throat to gain her attention but she was enthralled by Cayden.

Cayden smirked looking  towards Valerie and felt happy and contented due to her jealousy. Valerie blushed crimson. Jason looked baffled watching his tough alpha in such a situation.

Valerie cleared her throat and roared the red headed girl's name. She flinched in fear and looked towards her alpha who was seething. "I asked you to leave." The girl nodded meekly and ran from the gym.

"Jason" She called her beta. "Make sure the alpha of Mystic moon is showered and dressed properly. He is stinking and then escort him to my office"

Cayden snorted and Valerie looked in irritation towards him. She nudged his shoulder in anger while passing by him.

"Your alpha is not so tough when it comes to the matter of mates" Cayden said while smirking. Jason didn't say anything but Dominic grunted in irritation.

When Valerie entered the pack house she heard the cheerful and chirpy voice of her sister Genesis, who was four years younger than her. Her blonde hair and blue of her eyes were the copy of the elderly woman sitting beside a fire place talking on phone with someone. In the living room two males were sitting chatting animatedly. The elder one had broad shoulders and jet black hair with well built muscles and the younger one had similarity with Valerie herself. She got her genes from her dad like the younger male. He was brunette with green orbs just like her.

She beamed and uttered. "So you raccoons are back"

There was a moment of pause everyone stopped doing whatever they were doing and the next moment she was attacked by the petite physique of the blond. She was engulfed in a bear hug.

"I missed you so much Val. Wish you could come with us. Paris was so beautiful. The food, the clothes, the people and oh! the boys."

Valerie placed both hands on her shoulder to push her back and said. "Take a breath Genesis."

The said girl giggled. Valerie looked behind Genesis and saw the lovable eyes of her mother. "Mom!" Valerie exclaimed and she rushed in her open arms like a little girl and embraced the warmth of her mother.

"How are you my princess?" Jennifer Jackson the former luna asked.

"I am well." Valerie beamed and then she looked toward the boys. They attacked her in a bone crushing hug.

Someone cleared their throat and everyone looked towards the source. Cayden was standing with Jason in the hall. Jennifer greeted Jason and then she looked towards other male with scrutiny. She looked questionably towards the male.

"Mom, this is alpha Cayden of Mystic moon pack, they were initially residing in Canada. Due to the involvement of hunters in the government they have shifted here in Bridgeville six miles away from us. Our pack is helping them in settling and I suppose his pack will be arriving soon as well."

Cayden who was waiting patiently to be introduced as her mate was disappointing but still he moved forward and bowed his head in front of the former luna. He took Jennifer's hand with elegance and kissed the back of it like a gentlemen. "Your daughter forgot to tell you something." He stopped speaking to give a dramatic pause and looked towards Valerie. With a taunting smirk he said " I happens to be her mate also."

Gasps were erupted from around. To his surprise excited squeals were only heard from the blond to his right. The two males standing behind the former luna were piercing him with their gaze. He sensed their gaze and sensed that one amongst them was human.

"I see" Jennifer muttered and then she looked towards her daughter who was avoiding making eye contact with her mother.
Valerie cleared her throat and started speaking looking towards Cayden. "The girl on your right is the youngest of Jacksons. She is Genesis. Kevin, my younger brother on mum's right and Charles, my half brother on mum's left. Also he is the eldest of us all in the family. My mum was widowed single mother before she met my father as I have already informed you."

Cayden held his hand out for a shake which was excitedly grasped by Genesis and to his utter shock in the next moment he was engulfed in an embrace by her. Jason growled. When she detached immediately from Cayden, he got the fact straight that Genesis is Jason's mate.

Then the two males came forward and shook hands with him. The eldest of them gave him a weak smile full of pity. Cayden looked confused towards him.

"Welcome to the family" The other younger male Kevin said.

"Charles is the head of a small but fast growing biogenetic company. He is all brains and acts as my adviser sometimes. He does not live here with us because of his company. And Kevin is handling family business. He is second in command. He takes all sorts of decisions for pack in my absence. Genesis is still studying." Valerie explained.

Cayden nodded in understanding. He then looked towards Valerie and said in a serious tone. "My pack will be arriving in the evening. Can you please show me where they are staying temporarily?"

"Jason will help you with it. And if you need anything you are more than welcome to ask. We have made some temporary bunkers for the luggage. I advice you to show them the area where the construction of their pack is  taking place. They might want to have some personal touch for their homes according to their taste. By the way how many pack members do you exactly have?"

"Two hundred including toddlers and children" Cayden replied.

Valerie nodded. "Very well then, Jason will help you out."

Once they were gone. Jennifer asked them to follow her in the office. Once in the office she occupied Valerie's chair. Valerie's wolf was calm and did not seem to be bothered by her mother taking the designated chair for alpha.

"So" Jennifer started. "Are we going to discuss the elephant in the room or not?"

Valerie knew what her mother was implying.

"I haven't figured it out yet but I am not abandoning the pack." She replied.

"You can have your life Valerie" Jennifer coaxed. "You can remain acting as alpha but let Kevin take over to help. This way you can have the normalcy with your mate."

The words did not sit well with her wolf. Her wolf took it as being challenged and her body started shaking.

"Dominic" Valerie yelled. In a matter of seconds Dominic was standing in front of the former Luna in a protective stance and ready to fight his alpha for her mother's safety. Dominic knew her wolf is taking over. Valerie took deep breaths to calm her wolf down. Once she regained the control she apologized to her mother.

"There is no need to be. I know how gruesome alpha's could be. But I suggested this for your own good. Think about it. Kevin is more than capable."

"Mother!" Three voices echoed at the same time in a warning. Kevin, Genesis and Charles looked unimpressed towards her but the damage was done. Valerie's body was shaking badly and this time she felt control slipping, so she ran out of the office and opened the door of pack house. She lunged in mid air to change and off she ran.

Jennifer sobbed in office. "I just want my baby happy."

Kevin tried to soothe her. "You know she is happy being in power, mother. Her wolf took your suggestion as a threat. You know she is first born and destined alpha. Challenging her is not wise."

Jennifer controlled her sobbing. "I know she is loves to rule but what about her mate. I want her to be loved like your father loved me. I want her to feel safe rather than keeping everyone else safe. Who will help her when she needed one."

"Alpha will figure it out" This time Dominic spoke. "I have full faith in her. That being said my wolf and I won't accept anyone else as alpha and won't bow in front of them" He said these words looking towards Kevin and left. But before he can exit he stopped at the door and said "Alpha has my loyalty and the loyalty of every other pack member. We will die for her in a blink of an eye."

Jennifer sighed because she knew every person in this pack will react the same way as Dominic.
