Chapter one

"Well! Evil to some is always good to others"
Jane Austen
On a cold night when the wind was whistling in the trees , the screams and cries of a laboring mother echoed through the forest. The mother felt a cold cloth put to her head as an attempt to sees the sweating and moaning.
"There, there," the midwife said in a soothing voice. "Just breathe deeply." The mother looked at her with anger burning burning in her eyes she felt as if all the weight and woe of the works was weighing her
" How can I breathe deeply?" She snapped "It is like I am being crushed!" However her cockiness faded replaced with a pale blank look. "It is coming." She said. Just at that moment the door flew open letting all the night's cold gust tumble in, one by one the wind blew out the candles so only the moon could provide enough light to illuminate the pale face of the mother.
After hours of ear splitting screams and devilish curses the mother gazed at her three newborns. The midwife stood in the corner smiling gaily. Oh what merry sight 'tis to see mother with new children she thought to herself. Excitedly lent forward with a grin,
"And shall you call them 'Mam." The mother raised her eyes to meet with the midwife's gaze, though midwife thought in that moment the mother looked almost greedy. She sighed,
" Druzella, Anastasia..." She paused looking at the last child and the midwife not in all her career so a mother so disgusted by her own she spat on its hand. "And Franzell." She said finally looking up and shaking her head as if recovering from a scaring sight. However more surprising for the midwife was this... the raised a long fingernail and cut her child on her soft, little head. A bright light emerged from the bloody scar so bright in fact the midwife had to shield her eyes to prevent from being blinded. When the light finally faded they were only two newborns in the mother's arms.
