Chapter 7: Penguin Milk

I was swinging on the small bench swing in my backyard, surrounded by the cold night as I heard all the other Harrys inside my house eating the pizza I had ordered for them after we got back from the frat party.

A small tired sigh escaped my lips, a mist of air leaving my mouth from my breath as I rested my head against the rope of the bench's swing and reread the note my parents had left me today for the eighteenth time, the words they wrote making me frown and shiver in the cold.

I heard the glass door of the house slide open and close before I looked up to find Prince Harry approaching me, a large blanket in his hands as he gave me a small smile which I returned.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disrupt you," He began, clearing his throat as I folded the note in my hand and continued to smile at how adorable he was, the slight breeze in the air causing a few strands of his brown hair to flow in the wind, like a princess.

Or a prince in this case.

"It's just, it's cold outside and I um, I well." He said, looking flustered even in the dark before he brought the blanket around my shoulders, his fingers slightly brushing over my skin before he retracted his hands and placed them behind his back in a proper manner.

"Thank you." I said, my nose sounding stuffy from the cold as he gave me a polite nod, a warm smile on his face.

"I would've given you my jacket like before Lady Liza but I'm afraid it was tarnished by an alcoholic drink spilled on me at the party and I couldn't put that on you." He said with an apologetic look, making me laugh and shake my head at him when I noticed that he wasn't wearing his gold embroided jacket, only left in his pants and baggy white long sleeved shirt before I saw him shiver slightly in the cold.

"I'll just, head back if you wish to be alone-"

"No it's fine, I actually wouldn't mind the company." I told him truthfully, causing him to pause and study my face before he slowly nodded, taking a seat on the bench besides me with a fair amount of distance between us.

"I don't bite." I teased him with a small laugh when his body tensed, his posture straight even when he was sitting down as he narrowed his eyes at me in a playful manner.

"I will not touch you if you do not wished to be touched Liza, I am giving you... what the people here say, your space." He explained, running his pointer finger along his bottom lip as he watched me intently, the gold of his rings gleaming slightly under the moonlight as I raised the blanket on my side and gestured for him to scoot closer.

"Come on, it's cold, we can share." I reasoned, keeping the blanket open for him as a genuinely happy smile spread over his face and he moved closer, just until the side of his warm body was touching mine before I shared the blanket, putting it over his shoulders as well making him chuckle.

I looked down at my lap, trying to avoid his gaze since we were so close that I could feel the slight rise and fall of his chest as I rubbed my hands together, trying to create some friction in an attempt to warm them.

"Here, let me." Prince Harry offered, noticing my movements before he gently grabbed my small hands in his warm large ones, putting them between us as he rubbed them, then brought them up to his rosey lips trying to breathe on them for warmth.

"That's a cute move." I noted with a smile, missing my little sister who I always did that to whenever she was cold.

"My mother used to do this for me whenever my hands were cold," He explained with a bashful look, still staring at my hands in his as he continued to rub them.

"Do you miss them? You know, miss where you came from." I suddenly asked, thinking about my own family and how things were before the wish as Prince Harry looked up, his kind green eyes meeting mine as we stared at eachother for a moment.

"A bit," He admitted, biting his lip before he placed my hand down, not letting it go though as he turned and looked up at the night sky.

"This land is much different from any place I've ever journeyed to, and I've traveled to many lands. Although with each kingdom I visited, I must admit I always wanted to stay and never go back home because they always had something my kindom never had," He began, absentmindedly running his thumb along the skin of my hand as I watched him.

"Like what?" I asked, scooting a little closer to him when the blanket started to fall off out shoulders.

"Well I remember this one kingdom had the most magnicifent waterfall, one drop of it's purities and you can live forever," He told me with a faraway look in his eyes.

"Another kingdom had three suns, so watching the sunset was one of the most breath taking things I've ever seen," He breathed, squeezing my hand slightly as he snapped out of his daze and looked at me with a smile.

"But I'm afraid this kingdom has something much more captivating than an everlasting waterfall or three sunsets and I'm terrified that I'm a doomed man. I don't ever want to go back home, not when the most beautiful creation ever made in all the lands is here." He told me, his voice soft and deep as he looked into my eyes while my mouth dropped in realization.

"Zayn Malik," I breathed out, nodding my head in understanding as he blinked at me for a couple of moments before breaking out in a small laught, the sound was music to my ears as he smiled down at our intwined hands and shook his head.

"Uh, yes, him too- whoever that may be." He chuckled, squeezing my hand before looking back up.

"And you." Prince Harry finished, his voice so soft that I almost missed it in the wind, his eyes trained on me as he darted his tongue out to wet his lips while I blinked at him in shock.

"Are you serious!" I groaned out, throwing my head back clutching at my racing heart as I scrunched my face up in distress and shook my head, letting go of his hands as I ran them through my hair in frustration.

"Lady Liza I apologize, I didn't mean to displease you," Prince Harry quickly said, looking at me with concern as I continued to shake my head at him.

"No, no, it's not you- well yeah it kind of is but it's just everything. Look, you're perfect, you really are, and a part of me just wants to tackle you to the floor and let you have your way with me you get it?" I said, placing my hand over his broad shoulder as his green eyes widened at my words and even under the moonlight I could see the slight flush of his cheeks before he nodded slowly.

"Like hoeing around with all the Harrys, I mean that seems legit, even though some of them annoy me but not gonna lie you're the one I'm most attracted to but the thing is, you don't really like me okay. You just think you do, it's the wish, everyone is acting differently. Look at this." I told him, bringing up the note my parents had left me in between us as he took the piece of paper.

"You know what my parents wrote? They said that they're off to Antarctica to go and collect penguin milk- which I looked up is just regurgitated food from their esophagus- to help the orphans in Zimbabwe. That didn't even make any fucking sense I mean really!? My parents can't even let me go to the mall with my friends without checking up on me every five minutes they wouldn't just ditch me to do some charity shit across the world. This is because of the wish I made." I ranted, violently poking the note in Prince Harry's hand as he watched me.

"In most fanfictions -not all- but most, the parents are either killed off, are chilling somewhere else, are non existent, or they just don't give a single shit about their child. You know why authors do that- so the main character can do whatever the hell she wants with no consequences but those are my parents. I'm actually really close to my mom and dad and god- I think I pretty much killed off my little sister and replaced her with male me so you see, you have to go back to your story- I mean kingdom. All of you guys do." I rambled on, my voice coming out fast and high pitched as I panicked before I felt Prince Harry's arms wrap around my shaking body, my labored breathing evening out when he pulled me against him until my face was pressed into his warm chest for comfort and he held me in his arms until I calmed.

"I'll help you get your family back," He said, resting his chin on my head as I let my eyes close, just feeling at peace with him this close.

"I promise I'll do anything I can to make you happy, even if it means going back to my kingdom if that is what you wish of me," He breathed, tucking a strand of my curly hair behind my ear before he looked down at me.

"Just know that wish or not, I know how I feel and I do admire you Liza. You are unlike any maiden I have ever met, you're strong and you stand up for yourself and you don't take orders from anyone. I would be honored to stand by your side and be at service to such a fair dame." He said, his gaze falling to my lips for a moment before he looked back into my eyes as I smiled up at him.

I opened my mouth, about to thank him before a pocket knife whizzed passed both our faces and into the material of the bench behind us, the sharp weapon stuck in the wood between our faces making us look over in the direction it came from.

Assassin Harry was on the roof of my house right above us, not even looking at us as he played with another pocket knife, casually letting it slice through the air as he effortlessly maneuvered it with his hand while he rested his other arm behind his head.

"Oh, hello there." I said, making Assassin Harry stop his movements, his eyes shifting to me before he let out a scoff and continued to play with the knife in his hand, mumbling something in Italian under his breath.

"Well, I believe I've taken up all of your time, I fail to remember that I am only one of your many pursuers." Prince Harry said with a tight smile, clearing his throat as he stood to his feet, bowing down and taking my hand to raise it to his lips before Assassin Harry threw the other knife in his hand at him in the blink of an eye.

I actually screamed, expecting Prince Harry to be stabbed in the face only for my eyes to widen when he caught the weapon effortlessly mid air in his free hand, holding it by the handle, the blade centimeters away from his face as he kissed my hand with a small dimpled smirk, not even looking at the knife before he lowered it and let go of my hand.

"Do be careful, someone could get... hurt." He said, keeping his polite tone when he turned to Assassin Harry who clenched his jaw in anger, both of their bodies tense before Prince Harry gave me a curt nod and walked back inside, whistling and tossing the knife in his hand.

"So does everyone here have spidey senses or..." I trailed off after a few moments of silence between Assassin Harry and I, laughing and slightly snorting at my own joke as he continued to glare at me with a straight face.

"Oh hey, did you get to eat? I ordered pizza for everyone but I don't think I saw you eat down there, you just like, disappeared. You hungry?" I asked him, standing to my feet, wrapping the blanket Prince Harry had given me around myself before trying to take the pocket knife out from the splintered wood of the bench.

I looked back up when Assassin Harry wasn't answering to find him laying across my roof just looking up at the night sky, ignoring me.

"Okay well I have your knife now and I might keep it cause it's kinda cool if you don't want it. I'll be back to get you something to eat." I told him, closing the pocket knife just in case I tripped and accidently stabbed myself with it as I slid the glass door of my house open and went back inside.

Turns out all the pizza was gone.

Teacher Harry, Cupcake Harry, and Frat Harry -who I am sad to say was now fully dressed-were passed out on the couches in my living room while Psycho Harry seemed to be giving a small pep talk to Princey boy in the corner of the room as Marcel watched me intensely in the kitchen, his eyes trained on me as I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

"You want one?" I offered, cutting off the crusts as he eyed me from across the kitchen island.

"No, I just- I'm really nervous around you, like I feel like if I breathe too hard you'll stab me, or hurt me.... please don't hurt me." He squeaked out, making me finally notice how rigid his body was as I gave him a look.

"Hey it's fine, just relax. I'm not holding you hostage or anything pfft what, no you can totally just chill around or something. Mi casa es su casa." I told him before rubbing my hands together in satisfaction, brushing off the crumbs on my skin as I smiled down at the sandwich I prepared.

"Voila! You got the perfect meal." I said, gesturing to the plate of food before giving Marcel a small smile and taking it outside for Assassin Harry.

"Here Assassin, Assassin.... here boy..." I said into the dark, trying to whistle but failing miserably and just spitting as I tried to make sure I didn't spit on his meal.

"I'm not a fucking dog." I heard someone grumble from above, making me crane my neck up to find Assassin Harry still on laying on my roof, his eyes closed and his body tense as I smiled.

"I brought you food!" I said, raising the plate in my hand for a few moments, offering it to him until I realized he was ignoring me again.

"Okay well, if you're not coming down I'll just- I'll come up. Yeah, no big deal, I can climb a roof..." I said, looking behind me at the shed as I made my way over to it before retrieving a ladder my dad always used when he put christmas lights up for the holidays.

"I'm coming up, I hope you like peanut butter and jelly," I breathed, my body shaking as I slowly climbed up the ladder that was leaning against the house in slow careful movements, only holding on with one hand while the other held the plate.

"I'm not catching you if you fall." He replied back, not even opening his eyes as I stopped mid step and contemplated his words.

"Well, at least I can count on you for that." I laughed, mostly to myself before proceeding upwards.

Just as I reached the top the ladder began to shake, causing me to almost lose my balance as my weight made the steps shift away from the house, my eyes going wide with fear.

"Shit I'm going down, I'm going down. At least save the sandwich! I made it myself and I even took off the crusts!" I screamed for help, slowly falling back before the front of my shirt was grabbed and I was yanked off of the toppling ladder and onto the roof while I hugged the plate of food to my chest.

I watched in relief when the ladder fell to the floor below as I gulped.

"Well now how am I gonna get down." I mumbled to myself before I realized the two large strong hands that were placed protectively on my waists making me look up to find my back pressed firmly against Assassin Harry's chest as he glared down at me.

"What happened to the whole, I'm not catching you if you fall thing," I mused, scrunching my face up at him in a teasing manner before he continued to stare at me with a blank look and let go of me, causing me to almost slip as I screamed, trying to stable myself.

"Oh shit I was kidding! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" I panicked, gripping onto his shirt before I heard him chuckle softly behind me, holding me in place as I turned to gawk at him in surprise.

"You think I'm funny don't you..." I teased him, wiggling my eyebrows as I watched him quickly drop the miniscule smile on his face, going back to his cold and collected stare before I handed him the plate of food.

I sat myself down on the roof, patting the space besides me gesturing him to join me.

Harry looked at the sandwich then back at me before sitting down, a serious look on his face before he turned to me.

"So, you made me this." He finally said after a few moments of studying the food in his hand, as if he was debating whether or not I had put some laxatives into his meal while I nodded enthusiastically.

"Yeah, I even cut the crusts." I mentioned for the hundredth time since I never really liked the crusts myself.

He looked at me for a while, running his tongue along his lip ring trying to fight back a smile before he looked back down at the plate.

"I've never had someone make me anything." He breathed, staring down at the food in disbelief as I placed my hand over my heart and smiled at him.

"Aww...."

"You know, unless it was a highly toxic bomb someone needed me to bring into a building." He shrugged, making my smile freeze as I let out a pained nervous "awww" and subtly scootched a bit farther away from him.

"You know it's okay to let yourself smile or laugh once in a while. Laughter's the best medicine." I said, nudging his shoulder playfully as his body tensed.

"Yeah, let me know when laughter can cure an infected bullet wound to your leg and a deep slash on your stomach that won't stop bleeding." He snapped at me, still playing with the sandwich in his hand as I widened my eyes at him.

"Well aren't you just... a little ray of sunshine..."

"Sunlight, we never even saw it where I was raised..." Assassin Harry trailed off, as if in a daze as he looked at the sky with a far away look in his eyes while I took a piece of the food in his hand, eating it while patiently waiting for his monologue life story that was coming up.

"I was an orphan that was thrown into a government training program where they taught us to be killers even before we could learn how to ride a bike. You grow up learning to know nothing but pain, revenge, and anger and that all other emotions or feelings are just irrelevant weaknesses. I grew up with a few kids, they were like brothers and sisters to me only for all of us to have to fight for our lives at the end when we were old enough, the agency only wanted the best." He grit out, slightly strangling the sandwich in his hand as I frowned.

It was quiet after that, neither of us saying anything else while the breeze continued to go through us.

"When I was seven," I began, feeling the need to share my story as well as I hugged myself.

"When I was seven I went over to my friend's house to play hide and seek.... I hid between this television and the wall only to realize later on I was kind of stuck there since I was a pretty pudgy child. Yeah, they didn't find me for like six hours and then their cat Bernard found me there and started to piss on me." I explained, feeling Harry's eyes on me as I brought my knees to my chest and glared at nothing in particular in front of me.

"Hate Bernard..." I mumbled under my breath, shuddering slightly at the memory.

"Had to literally fucking marinate in cat piss for six hours. And my mouth was open when he peed cause I was screaming-"

I turned to Assassin Harry in surprise when he burst out in laughter, not too loud but not too quiet as he smiled, avoiding my gaze and shaking his head, the corners of his eyes crinkling a bit as I watched him in disbelief.

"Oh god." He said, throwing his head back and screwing his eyes shut as he placed one hand over his stomach, still chuckling to himself as I eventually joined along with him.

Every time someone was laughing at me I just join with them to feel like they're laughing with me.

"I haven't laughed like that since, well, ever." He breathed out, letting out a few more chuckles before he sighed, his dimpled smile still in tact as he looked at me.

"Thank you for the laugh, and thank you for the sandwich." Harry said, finally bringing the food to his lips and taking a bite as I placed my elbows ob my knees, resting my chin in the palm of my hands watching him intently.

"Anytime, just a little thank you for helping me in the frat house back there. You know, that was the first time I actually heard you laugh and say something nice to me." I grinned, leaning into him with a teasing smile as he raised his brow at me, sucking a bit of peanut butter on the tip of his thumb before smirking.

"Don't get used to it bambina, you tell anyone and I kill you." He told me with a straight face, his voice returning back to it's cold stern tone as my blood ran cold while he continued to casually munch on his sandwich.

"It was joke, be less serious Liza." Harry then chuckled, bringing his hand out and pinching my nose before turning back to his food.

"Now that coming from you is a good joke." I scoffed, crossing my arms over my chest and smiling as he finished his meal.

"So, was it good?" I asked as he licked his lips, laying down with his elbows propped behind him before his eyes met mine.

"No, I hate peanut butter, I prefer to have crusts on my sandwich and I think your jam was expired." He told me with a straight face and a genuine tone, my smile immediatly falling as I blinked at him, trying to process his words.

"What? Really, but- but why did you eat it then?"

Assassin Harry bit his lip, my gaze focusing on his lip ring for a brief moment as he smirked.

"Because you made it for me."

"I'm honestly just so glad you knew how to get off that roof and that the time lapse thing where it cuts to like one scene after the other totally skipped the part where I fell in a rose bush." I smiled, wincing a bit as I finally took the last thorn out of my arm while Assassin Harry watched me.

"Half the time I have no idea what you're saying." He admitted, giving me a look before shaking his head as he leaned against the doorframe of my room, his muscular arms crossed over his broad chest making me let out a breath of appreciation.

It was two o'clock in the morning and by now all the other Harrys were asleep either in the living room or guest rooms.

"Sorry for keeping you up." I apologized, rubbing my eyes as I tried to focus.

"Doesn't matter, I was going to stay outside your room and keep watch." He shrugged, looking passive.

"Oh... well uh.. thank you." I slurred, realizing I was talking to Assassin Harry who of course had to protect me from lord knows what or who.

"You know you don't have to do that, I'll be fine." I said, waving my hand dismissively as he watched me back myself into my dark room.

"Goodnight il mio amore." He said under his breath.

"Wait a second... doesn't that mean-" I began, my sentence getting cut off short when Assassin Harry reached for the doorknob and closed my door quickly, leaving me alone in my room as I blinked at the door with drooping eyelids, swaying slightly on my feet before yawning and waddling to my bed.

"Finally." I sighed with content, sinking into my mattress, my body absolutely exhausted after such an eventful day as I brought the covers over myself.

"True that pumpkin, thank god he finally left. Three is such a crowd." A deep british voice said through the dark before I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist, pulling me closer until I was pressed against Psycho Harry himself who was laying in bed besides me.

"How long have you been here you sneaky bastard..." I said in a slow voice, too tired to pull away as I tried not to fall asleep and placed my hand on his face in an attempt to slap him.

"Shh, you can sleep now, I got you." He said, cuddling closer and burying his face in the crook of my neck before I felt him lightly kiss my skin as he inhaled.

"Mm.. you're so soft baby.." He groaned in a husky tone as I closed my eyes and nodded, his words not processing in my head before I fell asleep while I felt his fingers run through my curls, trying to soothe me to sleep.

Not even a minute later the door of my room suddenly burst open adruptly, causing me to jump a bit as the light in the hallway poured into my room while Assassin Harry stood at the entrance, his body rigid and his breathing heavy as he pointed the gun at Psycho Harry who groaned in annoyance, completely ignoring him as he tried to bring the covers up over the both of us.

"Get out of her fucking bed right now."
