We were back in that damn test room again. Two people this time, both young girls. The voice did the same speech as always before setting Piranha and Simon on them. The voice thought one had healing powers whilst the other could turn invisible, yet both of them looked just as confused and terrified as I had when I first came here. They had no idea they had any sort of power, let alone how to use it to save the other person's life. It was a mess. The minute ticked down, yet nothing happened other than the two girls stood together and panicked, hugging each other in fear. The timer ended and the voice was angry, saying they'd both failed to prove their worth and were both going to die. Piranha took great pleasure in heading over to them, another machete in hand, as he played a game to pick out which he was going to kill first. He opted for the red head, who was dressed in skinny jeans and a band tee. She let out a small shriek as Piranha made his way over to her.

"Felicity, If you'd have just shown us your power this never would have happened!" The voice said as piranha ran at her and stabbed her, the knife penetrating her loudly, causing the other girl to flinch. She hid herself behind her black bobbed hair as she cried into her hands, knowing her time was up soon. Felicity dropped to the floor, but as she did, she turned invisible. Everyone in the room gasped audibly as the second girl got on her hands and knees trying to feel where she'd gone.

"Flick? Flick where are you?" She said as she patted her hands on the floor, finally patting something that felt human, despite not being able to see anything.

"Josie, we'll give you one last chance. Use your powers to help her or you die too." The voice sounded, clearly fed up that the testing stage was going on this long. Josie's hands made their way along the invisible body as tears fell from her cheeks and splashed where Flick would have been laying.

"I'm so sorry Flick , I really wish I knew what they wanted! I wish you were better. I wish you were still here with me." Her words were strong and meaningful and before her very eyes, Flick came back into everyone's vision, her wound healing itself under Josie's touch. Josie lifted up Her top and saw the stab wound was gone. She fell back in shock, staring at her hands in awe and pure confusion. Had she just done that? Flick stirred awake, her eyes opening and instantly falling on Josie, whose face lit up just as quickly. They pulled each other into a hug and the voice finally congratulated them on proving their worth.

"Fuck! I need some help in here!" I could hear someone shouting, but it sounded so far away. My vision was blurred to the point where everything just looked like blended in colours with no definition. "Guards?!" Someone was making a lot of noise, bashing things around until the alarm sounded again, the lights clicking on to signify they were keeping an eye on someone. Lots of heavy footsteps came rushing past but stopped by me. "She's been like that for a while. She needs help! I was shouting for fucking ages!" My door sounded like it was being unlocked before a few footsteps headed in, picking me up and putting me on the bed.

"Stay there!" One guard shouted, but he wasn't talking to me, he was too far away.

"I just want to make sure she's okay. I only set the alarm off so someone would come and help her." I finally recognised Jake's voice as he spoke worriedly to a guard.

"Just sit the fuck down." The guard said, cocking his gun.

"Hell, she needs a medic. Boss said to take her to the room." A couple of people picked me up and began carrying me out of the cell.

"Hey! Where are you taking her? Is she okay?" Jake called after me. "Louisa?!" A door slammed behind me as I was put down onto a hard flat bed. I still couldn't see anything and was drifting in and out of consciousness often.

"Let me take a look." The woman I assumed was the medic rushed over, shining light in my eyes. It didn't do much, just changed the colour of the faded view I was having. "Louisa, can you hear me?" Her cold hand pressed up against my forehead, which I only now realised was burning up.

"Josie and Flick have got powers." I mumbled quickly, knowing I had to get the information to the guards before either girl actually got hurt. "Flick turned invisible after she got stabbed but then Josie healed her." I could feel sweat dripping down my forehead now, which the medic kindly mopped up for me. She did a few more quick tests before injecting something into my arm quickly. The liquid made my arm burn and suddenly my veins felt warm, the path of my blood now feeling obvious as I could feel it travelling.

"Louisa, I need you to listen carefully. I've injected you with something to get rid of the pressure on your brain. You need to rest and try not to have any visions in the meantime. The guards have passed your message onto the boss." She said quickly before I blacked out again.

A while later, I awoke in my cell. My eyes opening and my vision seeming to focus this time. I could see the clear outline of everything now and the headache had gone. I groaned as I turned over, sitting myself up on the edge of the bed.

"Louisa?" Jake's voice was the first thing to greet me. I slowly looked up to see him as close as he could get to the bars. His arms were pulled behind him where the chain was at its full stretch but he'd moved his body in a desperate attempt to get closer to me.

"Jake." I replied weakly, trying to stand up.

"Stay there. They told you to rest." He ordered as I sat back down, rubbing my hands over my face. "I'm so glad you're okay. You scared the shit out of me." His voice was soft and caring, something that made me smile instantly.

"Thanks for helping me out. I don't know what happened but if you hadn't set that alarm off, I don't know if I'd have been here speaking to you now." I said sombrely, realising that this whole thing was a dangerous mess that we would never be accustomed to.

"Let's just call it even." He smirked back at me. I laughed as I shook my head, just wishing that I could be close to him even if it were just for a few hours.
