Help Me Up

After beating Ike Greil.....

"We did it!" Anna cheered. "Our homeland is safe. It's time to head back."

Kiran nodded and smiled. "Alright then." He began to walk forward, almost bumping into the sluggish Sharena.

"Ugh. I'm so tired," she muttered.

Anna turned to Kiran. "Alright Kiran, let's get-"

Suddenly, a loud sound was heard. Anna frowned. "What was that?"

Alfonse started running past the others. "No! The gateway, it's closing... Kiran, hurry! This way!"

The four started running, but Kiran stumbled on a rock and slowed down. He started to run, only for Veronica to cross his path.

"Hello Summoner. This time, it's just you and me."

"Veronica," he replies in a steely voice.

Veronica smiled, sending chills down Kiran's spine. "Your bratty little friends are on the other side of the gateway. There's no one to save you now."

Kiran stepped back, aware that he couldn't fight Veronica one-on-one. She stepped forward. "I made a promise to you, and I intend to keep it. It's time to die." She raises her hand. "I'll pop your head off... Just like-"

Suddenly, Veronica tripped and fell forward. Kiran blinked. WTF?

"My crown... It's too heavy...." Veronica cried. Kiran face palmed.

"Summoner... Help me up."

Kiran moved to the side and ran past her to the gate. "Nope."

And with that, Kiran crossed the gate, safe and sound. (Only to get a stern lecture from Alfonse for not finishing Veronica right then and there.)

Reina: Veronica's crown is way too heavy. Maybe that's why she's evil

Anyway, this is one of those crazy What if Stories I wrote. Maybe I'll write another scene where she's talking, but she falls over because her crown is heavy.

And now I can't take her seriously anymore.
