Virgil's POV:

The walk took around 30 minutes for us to get to school, but sam agreed that she felt uncomfortable to be on the bus and was anxious about being back at school, especially since our parents had all summer break to get all their anger out on her.

I tried to get them to stop and to take it out on me but she would never allow it and told me to let her take it, the excuse being that her soulmate already dead, she didn't want mine to lose theirs because of a mark-less.

When we got there we luckily had 10ish minutes to get to our lockers and possibly find my friends, I haven't seen them all summer since Patton and Logan had been travelling around to the country and.. Roman was visiting family in Spain, I never really hangout with them during the break because of my parents, I'm worried if they find out I've found my soul mate they'll get us to move again. So I am not ever telling them. It's to keep the both of us safe.

"Virge you ok? You look even more anxious than before. Are you thinking about your mark?" Sam whispers to me glancing at my forearm where it remains hidden by my hoodie, I nod. She sighs and rubs her temple mumbling something I couldnt hear "you know who he is, but you decide to keep the knowledge a secret i do not understand why, he could be your ticket away from them and yet you do not make that move to be with him." I roll my eyes "I would just be a disappointment for him and he deserves someone better than me" she scoffs "are you serious who better would he get?! You and him are almost polar opposites but fate has given you them to look after and cherish with all your being... at least you got to meet them. You can love them more than I ever could with mine" she mumbled the last part finding herself in a bad mood and putting a hand on her collarbone where the mark faded. I knew the mention of soulmates was a difficult topic for her but she was right, sam always is. But will I listen to her???

We get interrupted by a shout that I could easily recognize as a patton "VIRGIL!!" Sam flinches at the shout but puts her ear buds in and walks away with a small salute then leaves to her class.

when I look back towards where patton was I got bowled over into a patton hug, making me struggle for air, "I missed you so much Virgil! We should have kept in contact more!" Patton said, I almost thought he was crying but then he let go of me after hearing me ghasp for air "oop- sorry kiddo! I just missed you so much!" I almost crumble to the ground from Patton's hug, he may not look strong but he has a grip like a vice.

"I uh missed you too Patt, how was your summer break?" His face lit up "oh It was great! I bumped into Logan and his family a couple of times in some of the main towns which was quite fun, roman tried to ditch Spain to come with us but in the end got dragged onto the flight by his mother" I smirk "of course princy would do that" I say amused "already talking about us panic at the everywhere and padre?" I stiffen hearing his voice, "hey Romano how you doing?" I say casually but obviously panicking is my soul mark showing? Can he see it? Does he know, he hates me, why wouldn't he hate me?

"Why Romano? and I'm doing alright Emo, summer break sucked! Having to stay with my uncles, aunts and cousins the entire time was horrid!" He says in his over dramatic voice, I finally turn around and look at him, he seemed fitter and much more tanned than before his hair styled and his clothing clean and reminding me of a casual Disney prince reject. I hold back a smirk at the though.

"Has anyone seen Logan?" Patton asks us calmly I shrug still trying not to laugh at my thoughts and still looking sane. "Hes most likely in the classroom already you know what he's like" roman says passively patton does smile lightly, most likely thinking of how Logan always gets us to classes early even if he means to or not. "Well I guess we should get to the class huh" I say locking my locker and beginning to walk away the others following beside me talking casually about their break.

Getting to the classroom patton pushes the door open we waved to the teacher and see logan at the front alone reading a book "LOGAN!!" patton shouts next to me causing myself to flinch, he instantaneously looks up from his book "salutations Patton, Roman, Virgil. How is everyone this morning" Patton dashed over and hugged him, Roman scoffs, and mutters something about patton not hugging him making me smirk.
