TRigger warning- i dont know if a trigger is needed but hers a warning! 

ROMANS POV

I sit in the car with my mum silently watching the cops going into the house where sam is being kept my mum was messaging a storm and looking at the house, then she sighs.

"Querido, do you know why you are so protective of virgil?" She instantly says breaking the silence shocking me "no mom I don't, why?" She smiles looking at her phone, "because I think it's quite obvious." Her spanish getting slightly more pronounced "what's obvious" she chuckle the puts her phone down turning the screen off "well Querido, it seems to me you have a Very big crush, and from what I have just read he does too."

My face flushes and I look away from her chuckles get louder "querido have you ever seen his soul mark?" I shake my head "no... I think it's on his arm though he covers this part of his arm-" I show where he covers and rubs "when...ever I talk about them though..."

Her smile gets bigger "querido, has he described his soul mate to you guys?" I nod "he just says they are dense and that he wants to wait for them to find out on their own... mama I'm not dense am I?" She bites her lip and trying to think of a way to explain it "querido, I hate to say it but... virgil may be your soulmate. Seeing you two walk into the house holding hands it looked so adorable.. I hated needing to take you away from him but I needed to."  I nod looking away, "I guess that makes sense but, why would virgil think I'd be disappointed, I've liked him for a while.." I say she nods "maybe it's because of all this stuff, I dont know much but your father has talked to sam a fair bit so he might know" I nod silence echoing the car.

Another police car shows up and two officers run into the house, "I guess they found her?" After a moment officer Adam's run out then goes back in after getting something out of their police cruiser. A few more minute pass and two people are taken out one looks similar to virgil and the other Sam, the Male spitting insults at the cop and trying to escape the vice like grip they have while the woman just walks head held high. I didn't like how calm she was, it was unsettling.

The cruiser that showed up before left taking them and an ambulance shows up lights flashing I rush out with mom and go to it "what's going on! Why are you here?" The first paramedic sighed "ma'am I need you to calm down and give us space were just doing out job. We got radioed to be here" the other got the stretcher and took it to the house the first paramedic we were talking to left too, leaving us in shock.

a moment goes by and the re emerge with sam on the stretcher the officers following beside them almost in a protective guard the officers notice us and go over "we found her locked in a closet, she'll need to go to the hospital for scans-" "can I go with her?" I ask mom smiles "if it's ok with the ambulance, I'll follow behind."

"We need to go to the station and question them but sam and her brother will need to be asked questions later on" I run to the paramedic who are loading sam and the stretcher on "I'm a friend of her brothers, can I please go with you?" They sigh "fine, but dont get in our way"

I nod they gesture to a seat with a waist seat belt I sit and sigh as they begin to move, one of the paramedic stayed and began connecting sam to things and checking her over, muttering slightly her eyes were red face was covered in cuts and bruised, and I could see that when the paramedic put slight pressure on her chest chocked back on a sob, and cried out, I couldn't help but feel horrible. The paramedic then shot around to look and lifted her shirt, I saw bruises everywhere not to mention the scars.

She turned her head slightly and her eyes widen "R-Roman?" "Ma'am I'm going to need you to look at me please" she reaches her arm out the paramedic sighs I glance at them they nod I reach over and take it holding as gently as possible. A tear goes down her face "virgil?" She croaks out "hes fine, at home being fed food. Your coming home to him soon enough. Rest" I say gently she sighs relaxing instantly, "look after him will you?" I nod "look after yourself" I say, her eyes flutter closed still gripping my hand like a lifeline.
