Lissie thought back to the day of the dance.

"Opel,what are you doing?"Lissie asked.

"Nothing!"

Lissie rolled her eyes."You're clearly trying to mess around with Albert."She said,motioning to the apple in Opel's hand.

"You clearly used your powers on it."Lissie nodded to the apple looking as though it were thrown into fire.

Opel sighed."Is that really so bad?I'm a Fire Mage.Albert knows that."She tapped the boy on the shoulder."Albert!I got you a present!"

"Oh,really?Thank you!"Albert said,taking the apple."Wait-Opel!Stop using your powers on such trivial things!"

Opel sighed."Albert,tonight is the dance!"She twirled around for emphasis,her yellow ribbons swinging around."C'mon,stop being so uptight!"

Then someone must've started dancing or made an announcement,because everyone around them started dancing.

"Albert,would you like to dance with me?"Opel asked,holding her hand out.

Albert sighed before replying,"alright,I'll dance.."He grabbed her hand and was pulled onto the square.

Lissie smiled to herself and looked around.Small children were playing games of tag a few feet away,some people were chatting,some-

BOOM!

Was that an explosion?!Another explosion knocked Lissie off her feet.People screaming,green fire surrounding them...She had to help!Lissie ran to where the explosions originated.

A female who didn't look hurt and Cookie,who had scratches on her arms and legs were-fighting?!

"Lissie."

Lissie glanced in the speaker's direction.Cookie stood there with a book under her arm.

"What is it?"Lissie asked.

"Since Emilia won't talk to me,I'm back to the library."

Emilia had refused to talk to the witch since the dance.Lissie didn't know why,Cookie seemed to be a fairly okay kind of girl to her...Well,there was the fact Cookie was secretive....But she hid secrets to protect people!

Sometimes people with pins would be required to deal with something other than their station,such as missing guards or sick medics.Cookie had been filling in for a few sick medics when she left for Whiteport.

Cookie smiled before leaving for the library.

Lissie walked over to Emilia."Emilia,please walk around..We need the medical room for the injured.

Emilia frowned."Of course.."She left quickly.

Emilia walked around the town.The square had some damage left from the attack..Emilia didn't even know what caused it besides Isabel glowing..She decided to ask about Isabel.

Piks was training with Elba.She swung her lance.It was caught by Elba.

"Nice try."Elba said,moving his dagger towards her.

Piks darted back,using her lance as leverage."I'd like to see you do this!"

Piks fluttered her wings,leaping into the air.

"That's cheating!"

"Do you think the enemy is going to play fair?"

Elba frowned."No...."

"Exactly!So,I won't play fair."

"Our lord demands an audience with the expert guards!"Fern exclaimed.

Piks sighed."I have to go."

Elba,being a guard-in-training,nodded."I'll train until you return."

Piks fluttered over to Fern."What's so important he called an audience with the guards?"

"Well,I..don't know.All he said was 'Get the expert guards.'"

"I...have a feeling I know why.."Piks landed.

The lord stood,facing the window.The five supernatural guards-Piks,Fern,Xila,Romeo,and Werk-were bowing behind him."I need you to find a relic and return it.The lady at the library will tell us what relic it is."

"Yes,Mi'lord.."Five supernaturals chorused.
