Chapter Two - Who are you?!
Briar was awoken from her sleep by the light of the sun streaming through the window.
'Ugh! I wish I could just turn the sun off.'
Reluctantly, the princess got up from her bed and decided to take a long soothing bath, as she was sore and every bone in her body ached. She grabbed a towel and all of the clothes she would need after she got out. She ran the bath and put on some relaxing music that Lyra had suggested. Not wanting to get her hair wet, she pulled her pale hair into a very messy bun. As she stepped into her hot bath, she sighed, sinking down into the bath up to the back of her neck.
"... I wish I could stay in here forever..."
After about a half an hour, Briar got out of her bath. She looked at the makeup laid out on her sink counter and decided to only put on the basics.
Briar picked a denim skirt out of her closet and an ivory, off-the-shoulder shirt. She finished her outfit with a pair of heeled, black sandals. Her fair fingers worked quickly to craft a waterfall braid, just so her hair wouldn't be in her face. With time to spare, she sat in her reading corner and read for a little bit. It was all going well, until she was disrupted by a voice.
I'm never going to leave until I get what I want! Hehehe...
"Then what do you want!" Briar yelled, causing a decent sized echo in her admittedly cozy room.
You'll figure it out soon, my dear, very soon...
And with that, the voice disappeared as if it had never been there. No matter how many times Briar called out for it, there was no response. Eventually she gave up and left her room to walk around Alfea.
As Briar was walking down one of the corridors, she heard footsteps running behind her. She dismissed it as a first year running late for the tours.
"Briar, wait up!"
Briar stopped and turned around to face her girlfriend.
"What's up, Ly?"
"Did you not get my texts last night? I sent you, like, ten. We all got worried when you ran out on us."
"Oh, no, I didn't. I texted Blake, then I fell asleep. Sorry, babe, I didn't mean to scare you."
Briar put her arm around Lyra's waist as they continued to walk.
"Babe, do you wanna go into Magix? The others said they wanted too!"
Briar thought about it for a minute, but finally caved in and agreed.
The couple walked around until they reached the Herbology classroom. Lyra knocked on the door before entering.
"Hello? Aunt Flora, are you in here?"
"Hi, girls. Oh, come in. Is there something I can do for you?"
"Hmm? Oh, no, we were just stopping by."
While Lyra was talking to Flora, Briar went on her phone to message her brother.
Briar: Hey, Blake, are you up?
Blake: Ugh, yeah, I just got up, what's up? Somethin' happen?
Briar: That voice came back again. It said, "I'm never going to leave until I get what I want!" wth does that mean?!
Blake: I don't know, Bri. Have you told anybody?
Briar: No, but I feel like we should tell someone. Maybe I should tell Flora, but I'd have to get Lyra out of the room.
Ehehehe... telling someone won't stop me, Princess!
Briar ignored the voice, but she thought to herself that she wished she could tell the voice to shut up.
You don't need to speak with your mouth, dearie! I can hear your mind...
Briar: Blake!
No reply.
Briar: Blake, the voice said it can hear our minds!
Blake: Wth?! What is this thing?!
Briar: I don't know! I don't care what it says, I'm telling Flora! I gotta go!
Briar turned off her phone just as Lyra walked over to her. Briar stuffed her phone in her pocket.
"Hey, you ready to go?"
Lyra looked confused as to why her girlfriend turned her phone off so quickly.
"Hm? Oh, yeah, I just have to talk to Flora about something really quick, okay? I'll be right out."
She gave Lyra a kiss on the cheek before she went over to Flora's desk. Lyra was confused but left the classroom anyway.
"Flora, could I talk to you for a minute?"
"Of course, honey, what's going on?"
Flora offered Briar a seat next to her and Briar took it.
"Well it's not something that is only happening to me. It's happening to Blake too." Flora didn't respond, only nodded in response, allowing Briar to continue. "This is gonna sound really weird but we've been hearing voices - well, specifically one voice. It started talking to us yesterday. It keeps saying random things to us."
"What's the voice saying to you?"
"It says 'Mommy and Daddy thought they got rid of me' and 'I'm not leaving until I get what I want,' but I don't know what that could mean."
Flora looked confused when Briar said this but she spoke up.
"Do you recognize the voice?"
Briar shook her head but explained what the voice sounded like.
"No, but it sounds like a man's voice. It doesn't sound like someone really young or old, maybe a man in his late 20s to mid 30s."
Flora made no reaction to this, so Briar assumed that she didn't have any idea of who the voice might belong to. Briar looked over at what Flora was doing and she was writing down what Briar just said. Flora urged Briar to continue describing the voice as much as she could, including any important details that might help figure out whose voice it was.
"Hmm, well, try not to worry about it, but don't worry. I will look into it, but please let me know if something else happens, okay?"
Briar nodded, happy now that she got that off her chest.
"Alright, honey, now go have fun in Magix City. I was talking to Helia earlier and he told me that the boys were also planning to go to Magix City once they all got up," Flora said as she pocketed the paper she'd been writing on. Flora hugged the smaller girl and ushered her out the door.
Briar waved to the nature fairy and eventually caught up with Lyra, who was luckily with the other girls. They also met up with Blythe, Roxy's daughter, who is in her third year. Briar waved to the group of girls waiting in the courtyard, running over and to hug Blythe.
"Hey, girls! Hi, Blythe! Omg, I missed you!"
The girls laughed. Just as they settled down, one of the buses to Magix City pulled up. All of the girls climbed onto the bus.
"Magix City, here we come!" Blythe yelled out the window, making the group laugh.

Hey guys! Sorry that this one was a little short but oh well.
Also like in the last one I need to credit Rucabear because she helped me by looking over it and fixing a few things that I didn't.
Anyway that's all for now!
Bye💜💜
