Error/Geno/They?

Error/Geno/they? didn't understand. Was it they, was it Error, or was it, Geno. But... There was more than Geno. It was... They? They were... They?

Error felt dizzy. He/they felt about ready to crash again. He/they wanted their brother's scarf... No. They/he wanted... Blue. Blue was like... His brother.

He shakily stood up, error signs clearing from their vision. He opened a portal. It was a portal to Underswap. As he shakily stood, they began to stumble. In the end, they fell through the portal.

They now had a faceful of snow.

"How annoying," he said, only for them to realize that he actually spoke out loud.

But... Maybe they were speaking? It was hard to tell. They were one, but... There was also... So many? But... Not many?

Who was he anymore? He was him? Who were they? He was they?! They were him?!

Soon, they started breathing harshly. His breathing continued to speed up, him verging on a crash. He had flashes of memories of seeing their worlds get destroyed as they were forcibly ripped from their AUs. What was left of them. Were all their friends and family dead? Were they dead? Were they even them anymore? Was he him? Was she her? Was anything eve- Error heard footsteps in the snow, but couldn't stop his rapid breathing.

     "...Error?" someone asked.

The voices were panicking. Some of the voices recognised the voice that called Error/them though. It was Blue. Error felt his vision fading.

     "ERROR?!" a panicked Blue shouted.

Most the voices were still panicking a bit, and were still aware. Error's SOUL would never completely rest. Their SOUL would never completely rest.

Blue caught Error, and quickly tried to decide what to do with him. He decided to bring him to Undyne's lab. Hopefully his brother Stretch wasn't there, or noticed that Error was there. He didn't normally like to do this... But desperate times call for desperate measures.

Blue used a "shortcut," as his brother called it, to Undyne's lab. Blue quickly banged on the door. He shifted around with Error in his arms as he heard things being knocked over or moved around until Undyne finally opened the door.

     "O-oh! It's y-you Sans! I wasn't e-expecting any v-visitor- OH M-MY G-GOSH! W-WHO?! WHY?! H-HOW-" Undyne started.

"Undyne. I know this is sudden, but I need your help. This is a very good friend of mine and as you can see he is in need of help," Blue cut her off, for once fully serious.

Undyne was shocked, but quickly got over it and nervously ushered him in. She soon started giving him a checkup, to make sure nothing other than the many injuries and scars was wrong. She took note of how he flinched whenever touched, even though he was asleep. She also worried about how the monster seemed as if he could dust any second. She was so confused because this monster was a skeleton like Sans and Papyrus, when she thought Sans and Papyrus were the only skeletons left in the underground.

"M-maybe we s-should let-t your brother know-" Undyne was surprised when she was quickly cut off by Blue saying, "No. Um... My friend and brother don't get along very well..."

     "O-ok S-Sans," Undyne replied.

Soon, she got to checking his SOUL. When she saw it though, she was horrified. Blue was also horrified. He had never seen Error's SOUL before, so he was also shocked. He didn't know a monster's SOUL could look like that. Error's very SOUL then started to destabilize.

     "UNDYNE!" Blue called.

"I KN-KNOW!" Undyne replied as she quickly got to work.

She had no idea what to do, but was hit by an idea.

"I-I have a-an idea... We c-could use Determination. B-but it's risky," she told Blue.

"Please, Undyne. Help him," he said.

She quickly got the Determination and injected it into him. Blue had learned about determination once when a Geno explained it to him. He knew it could cause monsters to start melting. But he also knew that the Geno was fine, so he decided it was worth a shot.

They waited anxiously. Eventually, Error woke. The SOUL had been put back by now.

"UgH..." Error awoke with a groan, his glitchy voice startling Undyne at first.

     "It worked!" Blue exclaimed happily.

"wHaT? wE/I/hE h-HeAlEd? WhY- w-wHaT?" Error spoke, voice heavily glitching as he started to hyperventilate.

Blue quickly realized what was happening and spoke up, "Shh. It's okay Error. Breath."

After a bit, Error calmed down.

     "What happened?," Blue asked concerned.

     "I- I... I? We-E? wE/I d-DoN't..." they trailed off.

"I dOn'T kNoW wHo I aM aNyMoRe B-bLuE!" he shouted, now tearing up.

"i- I d-DoN'T uNdErStAnD!" Error gripped his head as he shouted this.

Blue once more calmed him, at least somewhat. They asked Undyne to leave so they could talk in private. Error did his best to explain, but it wasn't the easiest. Undyne ended up overhearing, so they had to explain the multiverse to her. They also took this opportunity to talk about the balance. And how Error kidnapped Blue because he was desperate for a friend and that was why Stretch didn't like him.

They decided to keep Error hidden from Stretch while they kept them in the AU so he could recover. Mostly mentally since Error could heal from almost anything. Many healed broken and shattered bones having healed before proved that. Either way, Blue was keeping Error there to help with Error's identity crisis. Error, Geno, they, them, or whatever he/they were.
