Bluebell stopped and breathed heavily. What was that? What just happened? Why did he just get so close to my face?! Why-WHY AM I BLUSH-
Her thoughts were interrupted by Silas's yell from down the hall. He staggered up to her, breathing out of sync along with Bluebell. "You...went...the wrong...way." She looked over to him. "Oh..." She let out a deep breath, it sounded like a polite chuckle "....sorry,......so then where do we go?" She asked, looking up. Silas managed to look up too, pointing with his wing over to another hallway all the way on the other side of the underground lake. "Are you sure I went the wrong way? It looks right to me."
Silas shrugged. "Well, technically, yes, but this way has more traffic." He said, pointing up at swarms of students chattering and loitering around in the air. "Maybe it'll be fine? Can't be that bad to go through there." Bluebell said. She lifted up off the ground, leaving a dust cloud from her wings pushing it all aside. Silas looked concerned but followed along after her.
Bluebell's flight was fine for the beginning but when she got to the center above the underground lake, she almost got pushed out of the air from some skywing students racing past. She regained her balance and continued flying towards the library. She had to duck, and sometimes fly over other dragons.
The library was only twelve talons away, she turned around to see if Silas was still with her but she didn't see him among the crowds of dragons. "Silas?!" She yelled. "I'm over here!" The voice said. She turned over to where she heard that. Silas had already made it to the library and was sitting on the ledge, waving. Bluebell folded her wings to her side, but just open enough to keep her in the air and bolted down to Silas.
"How did you get here so fast?" She asked as he got up, walking alongside her as they walked into the library. "Well I'm a Skywing so I have an advantage over you," Silas noticed the slight droop of her wings. "WH-WHICH DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN'T BEAT ME ONE DAY OR ANYTHING!" He said quickly. "But really all I did was fly up above the crowd and just dove down to the ledge." He explained. Bluebell chuckled in embarrassment. "Oh heh, I guess I should have thought of that...'' her freckles changed a flat light pink and bluish gray color.
Bluebell could feel that she was making him feel bad for saying anything and smiled to lighten the mood. "So um, where's those other dragonets you said were in our winglet?" She asked. Silas looked around the room, it was bustling with dragonets. Some were sitting in cubbies carved in the stone wall, while others were chatting with each other. "Hm, I don't see them. I'm going to go look around, they might be hiding among the groups. I'll be right back, in the meanwhile, maybe you should look around, this place is pretty cool.!" He said before lifting off of the ground and flying above to look for them.
She stood there for a moment, thinking about what she should do. Maybe I should read some scrolls on how to be sociable before I meet the rest of my winglet..? Bluebell scrunched up her face impatiently. No, I need to know more about prophecies and not how to be cuddle buddies with a bunch of random dragons.
She walked over to a set of scrolls that had a title plate over them saying "Dragon Magic." In most of the prophecies they always include weird magic right? So let's see if anything here can help me. "Fire immunity,....Biohazardous venom,....Mind Reading,....Animus powers,...." She mumbled the titles of some of the scrolls and stopped on the last one. Animus dragons, sounds like an "age-old curse" to me. She thought.
Speaking of the age old curse line, maybe I should be looking more into that. What else can classify into that? Hmm... She tried to think of any special powers that are like a curse. Oh! What about firescales? Technically they can't control it and in a way it's a curse. They both are pretty good candidates, I should probably take them both just in case. She grabbed both scrolls and put them in her pouch. Before she left the area, one of the scrolls "A Nightwing's guide to Future Seeing" caught her eye.
The prophecy. What more could help her than a guide that can help her determine what might happen? She grabbed that one too. She walked back to where she originally was and Silas was flying back with one Nightwing, and a Seawing. He waved his large wing at her as he landed. "Hey Blue! This is Nightshade and Waterfall." He said, pointing both of his wings at them like he was trying to make the introduction more interesting. "Heya.! I'm Waterfall, oh wait, I guess you already know that." The Seawing shrugged. "Eh, whatever. Anyway it's nice to meet you!" He smiled at her.
Bluebell meant to say something to continue the conversation but Silas started to speak. "Welp, I'm going to go get yelled at by Starflight for not returning his scrolls for a year. Before I go, I know Bluebell you know the way, but you should learn the other way to the dorms just in case. Waterfall and Nightshade will help you." He said waving at them as he walked off to Starflights desk.
The two walked off though the open doorway. She began to walk to them but stopped. She had a weird tingling feeling, as if someone was...watching her. She turned around quickly but nothing was there but her shadow. She still felt a bit uneasy and stared down at her shadow. It moved along with her as it always has but it was different than everyone else's. The light around them was a greenish color from the large leaves above them as the sun shined through. Her shadow wasn't as unseeable as the dragons around her, it was darker and it almost seemed to look like she was underwater, a ripple of invisible water going through her shadow.
Nightshade looked behind them and noticed Bluebell was still standing there. He tapped Waterfall with her wing to get his attention and whispered something to him. He turned around and realized Blue hadn't catched up with them. He ran back to her. Waterfall nudged Bluebell's side playfully. "You coming or what?"
