Puppet 1
(Mika Shizuka's POV)
"SHIZUKA, YOU"RE FINALLY HERE!!"
A hand grabbed my arm and pulled in the opposite direction, almost dislocating my arm in the process.
"Why didn't you call?!" The girl with long blonde hair and large silvery blue demanded, pouting. "A month ago you say you're moving to Kuroko, and then every time I call you, you don't answer!"
...Who is this stranger, and why is she talking to me like I know her? Maybe my other self did, but how could I remember? So I ventured to ask her name... "Uh....you are?"
She gave me a look that said stupid. "So you exchange my large, nerdy glasses and darker hair for some other friend? Geez, you're always so cold. Okay, so, I'll give you three guesses."
She's loud, I thought, still staring blankly at her as I adjusted my bag over my shoulder.
"A) I'm Kaede Kimura, B) Kaede Kimura or C) Durp Face!" She held up a finger according to the letters.
"....Durp face."
She stuck out her tongue, pretending to be angry, and grabbed my cheeks, stretching them out into a smile. "You're mean! You haven't even changed a bit; you still have that aloof look."
"...Ow ow ow ow....Leggo..." I mumbled and she laughed airily.
"So where do you wanna go? We have Dream-catcher St..." She started rattling off names and walking forward, dragging me along.
I followed, not protesting much. The people saying that they were my mother and father had shown me pictures of her a few days ago after I had lost my memory, but they never gave me a name with a face.
"Aaaaaand...where are we going?" Kaede asked, and let go of my arm.
I thought frantically back to all the names she said, but only one popped up in my mind. "....What about Pandora-7 St?"
Kaede smirked at me, before shooting backwards. "Joker strikes again! If we head to that exit, we go to the apartment complexes and residential homes. Ah ha ha ha!!"
She thought she was funny, but I hated to break it to her that she was not funny in the least. When I broke the news for her, she looked downcast, but then brightened up again.
"I'm not taking you to Pandora-7 St..."
"Because I told you that your jokes were crap? Talk about rude."
Kaede flashed me a dirty look. "No, because that's a place that's usually meant for couples..."
I blew a bang out of my face, thinking. "What about Pandora-3?"
"No."
"Pand--"
"All ten Pandora streets make out into a complex called Pandora and the complex is meant for couples. Pick another street!"
I tucked the irritating bang behind my ear. "What about Kai St?"
She flashed me a smile so bright, it burned my eyes. "Okay! I'll tell you more about Kuroko on the way!"
She then grabbed my arm and pulled me in the opposite direction.
(Apple Himura's POV)
Oh my gosh, why is this psycho following me?!
Danger, danger! I think this is the legendary Angel-san...
Warning to myself, walk faster! Don't look back! Holy crap!
I wove around people, trying not to look behind me at the person obviously dogging my every step and trying not to flip out.
I clutched my cylinder canister tighter to my chest, and broke into a run.
"Ah ha ha ha..."
A laugh sounded in my ear.
"Why run? Don't you have a wish, Apple Himura?"
The same soft voice.
Angel-san's voice.
Was it behind me?
"No, I'm not behind you, Ms Himura...At least not directly. Ah ha ha ha..."
Can it read my mind? Or is that just guessing?
But yeah, it sounds like a sociopath, but then again, this is Kuroko.
"I'll grant your wish....but I need a price..." Angel-san whispered, quietly laughing.
No no no no...They always say run from Angel-san. Don't let it grant your wishes, for it'll take the most precious thing.
"Go away!" I screamed suddenly, slinging the canister over my shoulder and clapping my hands over my ears firmly. But the soft monotone voice still seeped into my head.
"Parents will say my child isn't crazy! They'll blame it on the video games; the Japanese comics...Anything to deny that they gave birth to a psychopath. But I do this because I AM crazy~" Angel-san sang eerily. "You might as well look, Ms Himura...I know you waaaaaaaant tooooooo..."
I did. I really did. I was curious to see what this "Angel-san" looked like. I didn't believe those who survived that said that Angel-san was a girl with large, monstrous wings.
I had a nagging thought to turn around before, and Angel-san's voice and words just made the desire stronger...
I turned and stopped, shocked at what I saw.
The individual they call "Angel-san" actually looked like a regular pretty girl except for a few mishaps.
First thing, she wore all black and was barefoot.
Second, there were large jet-black feathery wings protruding from her back, splayed out behind her.
Third, she wore a maniacal grin.
Others were giving me pitying looks as they edged away to make a clear long path and edged away from us.
Oh no no no no!! Don't do that! Are you TRYING to get me killed?! I yelled mentally, but I understood their intentions all too well, because I too had once done the same thing.
No no no no no! Go away, go away, go away Angel-san!
I turned back and started to run once more, the canister bouncing on my back.
"Don't you have a wish, Ms Himura, to be granted?"
"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!!" I shouted, panicking beyond all doubt. I had heard rumours about Angel-san and her actions....And they sickened me.
A pause, as if completing, then a low chuckle. "Either I grant your pitiful wish, or you die~"
Yeah, she IS crazy.
My eyes widened but I didn't stop running. If I lagged, I would most certainly die.
Is she going to kill me, or kill my family as well?!
A long winged shadow enveloped my shadow and I could hear the pitter-patter of bare feet slapping the ground.
"Of course not..."
Out of the corner of my eyes, I could see that she was still smiling, but her eyes were still covered her long thin strands of hair. Even with the wings, she had still managed to keep up with my mad dash toward safety.
"I'll just take your soul! Don't worry, you can still function without a soul if you're mine, and you'll be my toy forever onward~"
"Nhn..." Something wet slid down my cheek, one after another, and fell off my chin.
Please don't!
"Ah ha ha ha!!"
Even her laugh sounded crazy.
I turned my eyes to the front and too late did I see a black haired girl turn the corner with my classmate, Kaede Kimura.
Kaede's eyes met mine, and in a split-second, she recognized me.
"Shizuka, move!"
"Huh?" Two dark red eyes met mine.
"Ahhh!"
I slammed into her...
...Or at least, thought I did.
But after removing my face from someone's shirt, the eyes that met mine were not red, but a silvery blue.
The eyes that were staring at me belonged to Kaede.
The girl who must've been Shizuka was standing off to the side, blank faced and her head slightly cocked, surveying our sprawled positions.
How did she avoid--?!
Wait, never mind that. Where is Angel-san?
I looked around frantically, but didn't see the winged angel anywhere. I sighed a breath of relief then jumped then Kaede's voice said:
"Hi, Apple. Great way to greet someone! Can you get off? You're leaning on that canister that's pushing into my abdomen. I already have to pee, and that's not making it any better..."
"Argh!" I'm sorry!" I yelped, snatching the container off of her. I bowed frantically then sprinted away. I had a feeling that Angel-san was close by, and watching my every move, quietly laughing.
AN: Hello, Lief here, again, writing another book. Come on, I can hear all of your groans, even if you don't verbally put it in any type of comments. She's writing another one... Sorry, but I came up with the idea, and I showed it to my friends, and they liked it...And @MegumiRaven wouldn't shut up about me posting it, so here it is! Tell me if it's any good! Thank you! The picture, by the way, is Angel-san.
