Shourya's POV

As soon as I reached the parking lot, I kicked the bonnet of the car. It was anger or frustration I couldn't differentiate. But it was definitely something that I wanted out of my system for good.

I was in a towel and he saw. "That bastard!" Cursing loudly and hitting the bonnet one more time I sighed and leaned across the car. Half of my mind was contemplating whether to go inside and beat him up all over again and the other half was wondering whether to stay angry at Anah or not.

I know it's not her fault but I don't know why my senses are not able to comprehend the fact that he saw her half naked.

She thought it was you.

My inner self reminded but I just wasn't able to leave it behind. Specially as of now. Is this what people call jealousy and insecurity? I am so clueless that I can't even understand what I am feeling.

I wanted to shout at Anah but I didn't because I can never forgive myself if I raise my voice on her but this time it's better to wait and let's see how she handles it.

Yes decided then. Adjusting my jacket and heading inside my car I finally decided to leave. With a last look at the entrance of the hospital and partially wanting to see Anah one last time, I decided against it and left.

On my way towards the Army's CANT, my mind was clouded with thoughts about that conversation with Col. Bakshi. How am I supposed to escape from this?

I was about to take a turn when I spotted a man standing on the divider, for some odd reason they seemed familiar. Our eyes met for a brief moment as he gave me a creepy smile. 

A horn from behind brought me out of thoughts as I looked through the rear view mirror and found cars honking behind me.
I actually subconsciously stopped my car in the middle of the turn. Starting the engine again and looking in the man's direction I found him long gone.

Soon I reached and just parked my car when my junior Karan came and handed me a file while saluting me. " Sir, Col. Bakshi has asked for you" I nodded and went straight to his Cabin.

Knocking on the door twice I entered on getting a 'come in' from him. He offered me a seat as he proceeded. " Shourya my boy, we have a meeting to attend in Delhi about the Rajori incident. I want you to gather all the files and the proves we gathered so far as we are heading for it tomorrow."

He dropped it like a bomb on my head while I tried to bear the fact. " Sir, I remember requesting you about the postponement of this meeting. I asked you some time sir, we can't just let the matters go in hands of people who weren't even there. I know my men and I know what happened. With due respect, I think you are making a wrong judgement"

"Lt. Shourya Singh Rajput, I need not to remind you who's the senior here and who has fought more battles than the other. You leave the diplomacy to me while I expect you to exercise your duties towards your uniform and command".

He sighed and got up. He stood near the window and said " We as soldiers have to make immense sacrifices, be that of our families, friends, our love interest and most importantly our own interests. He was a kin both to you and our command. Don't take it personally."

I looked away. " It's not about being personal this time it's about justifying the sacrifice made and this time I won't let it go in vain. With your permission, can I leave to my duties sir?"

He barely nodded and I left instantly. That room always made me claustrophobic in some way. My phone rung and I let out a breathe of relief when I saw it was bhabhi.

I was walking to my cabin when I picked it up " Yes bhabhi?" ,"Shourya! Anu its- she is-she is missing. I don't know what to do. I called Anirudh and he went to the school. I don't know Shourya, what must have happened. Come home". With a sob she ended the call before I could confirm what I heard.

Anu? Missing? God no!

I ran down the stairs avoiding bumping into people and falling on my face. Hurrying inside the car I connected my phone to the bluetooth and went off to the road towards my house. I was calling bhai when on the same signal just the opposite side, I saw the same man from earlier but this time holding a sign " God has his ways to punish the sinful".

He gave me a creepy smile and a thumbs down. All of a sudden I felt a sudden jerk as my face smashed against the steering wheel. Before I could realise what happened my vision became blurred and all I could remember was a certain someone giving me her beautiful smile.
