When writing a story, wether through roleplay or individual, it is key to have enough history and drama in a backstory that floods together to create the perfect mesh of unique ideas. I'm calling this mesh the Character Web.

This process takes time. For me, it took at least a year to be able to properly complete the process of creating my characters.

First you have to have an idea for a character, a concept. Base it off someone you know or have heard of! Don't be afraid to do some research!

After this stage, work with your character. For me it works best to roleplay with them and get a feel of how their traits and backstory work together.

After this, I usually just keep writing with them. Either with books or roleplays. After some time I am able to realize what I want to change and what I don't want to change. This is the the point when character development mainly takes place, starting to for a version of the final product...
