Chapter 9

This is a picture that I requested realmtraveler310 to make. Her and I are friends, and I encourage you to go check her out. She does amazing art, and she's a good friend. If  you want to, go check out her art book. It has other variations of this character.

Zane's P.O.V.

Dang it, they're fast, I thought. Which was strange, seeing as they were a human and I a ninjriod. Soon their moves were a blur, and I couldn't keep up. It was just blocking for me now.

Suddenly a punch came where I didnt expect it, and it sent me flying. I landed on my back, unable to get up. My arms were sore, and I couldn't even feel my legs. I lay there, panting. (Y/N) waited patiently. I held up my hand, signaling that I was done. They came over to me and held out a hand. I took it, getting up.

'Want to go see if the others are done with breakfast?' They hand-signed. I nodded. I started grinning like crazy. I couldn't wait to see their reactions.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

We got back inside, and everyone had just finished eating breakfast. I signaled to Sensei and Misako not to eat the cupcakes. They nodded as everyone took one. They all bit into one, and their reactions were priceless.

I fought hard not to laugh as they set down the cupcakes. They glared at me and Zane. He was clutching at his stomach, laughing. I was crouched on the floor, shaking. I got up and went to go get the apology cupcakes. These they looked at suspiciously, until Sensei ate one without any reaction. Then they ate them.

I went onto the deck, to relax. We were located in the outskirts of Ninjago. I breathed deeply. It was calming, and I felt like nothing could disturb this peace. A person laid their hand on my shoulder. I jumped. I turned, and looked at my former sensei.

My eyes lighted up immediately. I gave him a bear hug, which he returned. I took off my scarf after checking that nobody else was on deck. I smiled, extraordinarily happy that my sensei was back.

Garmadon smiled. He had been like a father to me, and I had missed him greatly. "Those stitches came out hmm?" I nodded. He and Misako were the only ones who had known about them. "Misako got them out for me." I said in a quiet but strong voice. "That's amazing. I take it that you've already met everybody?" I nodded. I had replaced my scarf, so that anyone who came up wouldn't see me.

I had put it back in place just in time, becuase Lloyd came on deck. His face broke into a grin. "Dad!" He cried joyfully. "You're back!" "Indeed I am. How has everyone been doing?" Garmadon said as he hugged his son. "Everyone's been good Dad. (Y/N) saved me from some thugs that I hadn't seen, and they took them out with moves I had never seen. Did you teach them?" Garmadon nodded.

I had scaled the mast while they were talking, thinking to give them some father-son time. I made it to the top of it safely, and sat there, relaxing. I was feeling calm, and wanted to do nothing more then sit there. My head said otherwise.

This is going to sound extremly cruel. It made me sad as I wrote it, and angrier with every word. It might trigger some people, and for that I am sorry. You can skip this part and onto the next chapter.

An image of The Overlord popped into my head, and he started talking to me. "You worthless trash! I should have killed you when you were born! Although I guess you did bring some worth. But defying your nature? What are you, a puny human? You're a dragon! Why haven't you destroyed anything! You're a poor excuse for a daughter. Good thing I killed your mother after you were born!" He slapped me. I felt blood trickling down my cheek. I brought my hand to my face, and pulled it away. It was covered in purple blood. I turned back to him, my anger having gone through the roof.

I blinked, ready to shout at him, when I find that I'm still on top of the mast, still with the ninja, not back with that horrible man. I glared at the sky, furious that the Overlord had done that in the first place. But deep down, I knew that I was terrified of him, and I was determined to conquer that fear. I just didn't know how. I sighed, hot tears of frustration trickling down my face, leaving tracks.

So, thank you to everyone who has read this far and has had patience with me. I posted a dare book for the ninja, but nobody seems to have read it, and I'm curious as to what I'm doing wrong. I would love to read your thoughts on this. I'll try to get another chapter out soon. I do have other books that I post on, and I encourage you to read them.

See ya,

Neptunefoeva
