A/N: I apologise for any spelling mistakes I make.

3rd POV: Spiderman and Romy stared at each other in awkward silence, not knowing what to say to one another.

In the midst of this, Peter mentally wondered about the chances of meeting Romy and possibly by extension MJ.

Everyone paid close attention to this interaction, curious about Spidey's seemingly hesitant to speak to the young girl.

"What, uhhh, what are you doing here?" Spidey asked before mentally kicking himself. Of all things to ask, he asked that.

"We- I live here." Romy began before changing what she was saying.

Peter noticed how she seemed frustrated after she answered but couldn't figure out what it was about.

"Right...." Peter nodded his head before looking around, trying to decide whether to figure out a way to make things less awkward or find an excuse to leave. He decided on the 2nd option. "Umm, Romy, was it?" He asked, getting a nod from the girl. "I need to get a move on. I did something a few minutes ago, and I'd like to meet certain people so -" spidey prepared to fire a web to a nearby building and swing away before a shout stopped him in his tracks.

"Wait!!!" Romy cried out before she grabbed his hand with both of hers and held on tightly to it.

Peter tensed as his spidey sense went haywire, sending every single warning signal imaginable to him.

'The hell?!' Peter questioned as he resisted the urge to grab his head in pain from the continuous signals bouncing around in his head.

"《This feeling...》" The voice of anansi peirced through his mind before his spidey sense slowly began to calm down before all warning signals ceased. "《Be wary Peter, something isn't right.》" The spider god cautioned before he retreated deep into Peter's subconscious.

Everyone tensed once Peter's spidey sense went off, expecting a fight to happen soon but nothing came, though the warning from the spider god made everyone look every inch of their respective screens, trying to see if there was something or someone nearby causing the wallcrawlers early warning system to go off but could only see the Peter and the girl. Most of the geniuses then looked in suspicion at Romy. Peter's spidey sense only went off when she grabbed him.

What did she do to set it off?

And was it intentional?

"Are you ok?" The voice of Romy asked as Peter looked at the little girl who was still holding onto him. "You were staring at nothing." She said.

"Yeah.... I'm fine." Spidey hesitantly answered. Worried about what set off his spidey sense like that. One of the many times it ever went off like that was during the battle with the inheritors. So, for it to do that again was very worrying. "What did you want me to wait about?" Peter asked the little girl.

"Could you.... stay for a little while?" Romy asked nervously.

"I don't think I can -" Peter tried to say only for the little girl's hold to be tighter.

"Please?" She pleaded.

Peter stared down at Romy , then looked to the city, specifically the baxter building, before looking down at the daughter of his ex. He was going to make up an excuse but froze in shock at who he saw in Romy's place.

Every mayday and Annie parker that were or weren't spidergirl stared at the image of themselves there. Weren't they supposed to be dead in that universe?

Everyone outside of the omniverse began to speculate. From what they understood, mayday and Annie were gone, yet there they stood. Some speculated that peter saw his daughters because Romy possibly reminded him of them whilst others believed in another theory. It was a crazy and impossible theory that lacked sufficient evidence, and the only thing they could do to get proof was if they kept watching the show.

'Annie?! May?!' Peter mentally asked, shocked. It took everything within him not to collapse to his knees and cry disbelief. Peter blinked his eyes, and Romy was there instead of Annie and May. 'What was that?' He asked, the shock slowly wearing off.

"Spidey?" Romy asked, snapping Peter out of his thoughts.

The webslinger stayed quiet, contemplating the decision before he eventually nodded his head.

"Ok, but only for a little while, alright?" Spiderman said, getting a joyous nod from Romy.

"Want some milk and cookies?" Romy asked eagerly, getting Peter to blink behind the mask.

".....you know what? Sure." Peter answered. "But how're you gonna - and she's gone." The webslinger was about to ask before seeing Romy scurry off. "Why did i agree?" He asked himself. "Why did I see Annie and May? And why did my spidey sense go crazy? Nothing makes any sense." He muttered before moving to sit on the ledge. "Then again, when did anything make sense?" He couldn't help but ask.

A few minutes later, Romy comes back to the roof with a plate of cookies and 2 glasses of milk.

"How did you manage to sneak these past your mother?" Peter asked as he lifted his mask up slightly to reveal the lower portion of his mouth.

"I'm clever." Romy answered with a smile whilst also not answering Peter's question.

"Riiiiiigght." Peter drawled as romy put the plate of cookies and milk next to the wallcrawler and sat on the other side.

The 2 slowly ate and drank in relative silence as they watched people go about their business, not really knowing what to talk about or if they should even speak. The last time they saw each other was when he took off after saving MJ and her new family from the other universe.

"This is so awkward." Said Dante as he attempted to grab a slice of pizza only to feel nothing. The son of Sparda looked down at the pizza box to see it empty. He shrugged a second later and grabbed another pizza box, opening it up and grabbing a slice.

"You can say that again." Trish answered whilst thinking about what caused Peter's spidey sense to flare.

"What's up?" The half demon asked, noticing Trish's pensive look.

"Think the kid could be a danger?" The blonde woman asked.

".....probably." Dante answered as he later shrugged. "But we can't know for sure. Shame we're not there, though. We could've probably found out for ourselves." He added.

"Yeah. But who knows, well probably end up working with Spidey again if kang decides to transport us to wherever he goes." Trish said, getting a nod from the owner of Devil May Cry.

(Earth 616)

"Spidey." Romy called out to the airachnid, getting his attention. "Do you hate Mom?" She asked as she looked into the white lenses of the spider's mask.

Peter paused Mid chew of a cookie as he let her question sink in. With everything that had happened recently, he hadn't thought about MJ, what with trying to save another omniverse, preventing an invasion from another realm, defeating an emperor, and coming back to his own universe. But now that Romy asked the question, did he hate MJ?

Truthfully....

"I dont exactly know Romy." Peter answered as he sighed. "At one point, I loved her with all my being, and then in another point, I hated her for what she did, but now...." The wallcrawler paused as he considered his feelings for his ex before sighing once more. "I guess I'm just indifferent when it comes to your mother, and it'll probably stay that way for a good while." He answered.

Romy looked off to the side before her left hand went to reach out to Spiderman before it tensed for a moment and went back to its original position.

'He needs to know.' A voice that didn't sound like Romy's said.

Everyone perked up. What does Spiderman need to know?

(Earth 616)

'Well, we can't tell him with that stupid mark on us!' A second voice answered back. 'We're lucky to even be in close proximity to him, much less talking to him.' It continued.

(Omniverses)

"Does she have split personalities?" Flash (JLU) asked aloud, for anyone to answer.

"It's possible, but I'm curious. What could they both want to tell Spiderman?" Martian manhunter (JLU) asked.

"And what's this about a mark?" Hawkgirl (JLU) asked.

"Could be a magical mark that doesn't allow her to say certain things." Wonder Woman (JLU) suggested.

"Any possible idea on who could place the mark on them?" Superman (JLU) asked.

"Unfortunately, we don't know enough about Spiderman's world, nor the people he deals with on a regular basis." Batman (JLU) spoke up.

The group continued to converse quietly, trying to come up with theories on what Romy wanted to tell Spiderman and what Mark was possibly placed on her. Something that everyone in the other omniverses was also doing.

(Earth 616)

"Romy." The voice of Spiderman called out, grabbing the young redhead's attention. "Are you ok?" He asked concerned.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." The daughter of MJ stuttered out.

Peter narrowed his behind his mask before putting a hand on her shoulder and gently held her.

"Are you sure?" He asked, getting a nod. "Then why are you crying?" Peter asked.

Romy wiper underneath her left eye before looking down at it to see tears. Shocked, Romy began to furiously wipe the tears that were coming out of her eyes, but Peter's hand stopped her as he wiped them away himself.

Romy froze as she felt the hands of Spiderman gently wipe away her tears. Why did she cry in the first place? Was it because she was frustrated that she couldn't tell Spiderman due to the mark? Or was it because she was finally close to the person that she cared greatly for more than her mother, 'brother', and 'father'?

Regardless, Romy closed her eyes and enjoyed the warmth, gentleness, and care that the wallcrawler's hands brought as much as she could.

A few seconds later, the tears ceased, and Peter pulled back.

"What's going on, Romy?" Peter asked concerned. The girl didn't answer and just stared down at the people.

".....I want to tell you." Romy began as she started twidling with her hands before she looked up at Spiderman, a sad look on her face. "But I can't." She added before opening and closing her mouth as she tried to formulate a sentence."I...." Romy tried to continue talking but seemed, according to Spiderman, to choke on her words before eventually sighing and looking down at her hands again. "I just can't." She eventually said.

".....ok." Peter allowed before placing a hand on Romy's shoulder, getting her attention. "But whenever you feel ready to tell me, I'll be there to listen." The webslinger said with a smile.

"But how would I even get your attention?" Romy asked.

Spidey hummed for a moment before raising his hand up and using a small magic spell to conjure a small spiderbot. The spiderbot activated and dropped down in front of Romy.

"Whenever you wanna talk, tell this little guy, and it'll send a signal to me." Peter answered.

Romy stared at the spiderbot with said bot, raising a small leg up and waving it up and down, as if saying hello. Romy then looked back at Spiderman and, without a word, lunged at him and wrapped her arms around the wallcrawler. Peter froze for a moment before hesitantly hugging her back, patting her back while he was at it.

Eventually, the duo broke away from the hug, just in time for the door to the roof to be opened, revealing a frowning Mary Jane Watson.

"Romy, what do you think you're doing?" MJ asked with her arms folded.

Romy panicked and looked around to see that Spiderman was no longer next to her and she could feel the spiderbot that he gave her was on her back hiding.

"I uh..." romy looked around and twiddled her thumbs. "I was feeling a bit stuffy inside, so I wanted to have some milk and cookies out here." Romy explained as she nervously smiled at her mom.

MJ hummed before looking down at the empty plate and 2 mostly drunken milk glasses.

"Why are there 2 glasses?" She asked.

"Ummm...." Romy paused, trying to think of a convincing excuse.

"Don't try and lie to me, young lady." MJ said as she took a few steps closer to her daughter.

"I was... sharing it with a black cat!" Romy paused before getting an idea and going through with it, albeit a ridiculous one.

MJ froze at the mention of a black cat and looked across the rooftops.

"Did this black cat have white hair and an arrogant attitude?" MJ asked as she kept looking at the rooftops.

Romy said nothing but eagerly nodded her head.

Most of the black cats in the Marvel omniverse looked a little offended at being arrogant. They weren't arrogant, just very confident

(Earth 616)

"Right." MJ said as she finally looked down to Romy after not spotting the cat thief. "Well, why don't you go back inside where we can talk about you being grounded." MJ asked, getting Romy to sigh but decided not to argue and just do as she was told. The spiderbot on her back moving positions to stay out of MJ's sight.

Once Romy was out of sight, MJ grabbed the glasses and empty plate before following after her daughter but before she went inside, she paused and turned around and looking out towards the city, expecting to see a familiar man from Queens swing through the city but did not see anyone. Sighing, she closed the door and went down to her apartment.

Meanwhile, back on the rooftop. The air seemed to shimmer for a moment before breaking away to reveal a very silent spiderman with his mask covering his entire face, thankful for the camouflaging spell he casted.

With a sigh, Peter turned around and fired a web at a nearby building and swung away, his destination: the baxter building, never realising that Romy was watching from her bedroom window, lone tears dropping from both her eyes.

"We'll see you later." Romy whispered out.

At least she hoped she did.

A/N: and another chapter done. It would've been done yesterday, but I was feeling nostalgic and started watching Power Rangers SPD, and I felt like a kid again. I've decided to watch time force, and then maybe go to Dino thunder followed up with RPM, but enough about that. Romy and Peter have finally met each other again. Although the meeting was awkward a little, things will start to change further down the line.
