-memory sequence started-

3rd POV

It's currently 5 am in the countryside and nothing's awake well almost nothing the only person awake is a young man with black red tipped hair, orange fox ears along with a tail in baggy sweats, a black T-shirt, and a green utility jacket. Was sitting on a roof. He currently had his eyes closed so no one could tell what color his eyes were. The person was known as Light Rose, The unexpected son of Summer Rose. His father is unknown so he never knew him the only thing that he got from his father was his ears and tail he some what resented his Faunus heritage but most of the time he embraced it. The reason he was here in the country side was simple it was graduation day at Beacon Academy and he had to give a speech just like his mother did when she graduated from there, and he was scared. He was never really scared, but he was usually fighting Grimm by himself mainly cause he lost most of his team to some that was close to him. So here he was sitting on a roof getting little sleep and panicking. Let's go see what he's thinking.

Light's POV

Light: -man what am I going to do I have to stand up in front of all my classmates. Ugh I hate this.- I get up and start to make my way back towards Beacon my mind still thinking of what to say but I then got an idea.

~time skip~

3rd POV

It was now after the graduation and everyone was chatting with each other except one person it was Light he was just staring into a cup of water thinking of his mother and baby sister Ruby. While he was thinking that a man in a suit and wore sunglasses walked up to him.

???: Are you Light Branwen Rose?

The man asked in a heavy southern accent.

Light: yes. who are you?

Director: you can simply call me the Director. I'm here to offer you a job working for me along in a project called Project Freelancer.

Light: what is Project Freelancer?

Director: we do technological research and need agents to test the equipment.

Light: sure sign me up where do you need me to go and how long will I be gone from my family.

Director: we will pick you up here tomorrow morning and to see your family again you can call them using this hands him a tablet and Light just looks at it with curiosity.

Light: what is this?

Director: that is called a tablet it's common from where I'm from.

Light: he turns his head to look at the Director. Thank you sir. Is that all?

Director: he nods his head. Yes that is all I will pick you up at your school landing pads at 0900 hours tomorrow so you need to be packed by then good bye agent.

The Director slowly walks away and Light grabs his scroll and calls his uncle telling him about what happened and if he and Ruby can come see him before he leaves.

~Time Skip~

Lights POV

Light: -man it's 6:00 and Uncle Tai and Rubes still aren't here yet. Guess I should check if I got everything let's see clothes, check, pictures of me and my family, check, and now flintlock, locks for the weapon oh yeah I broke that in a sparing match heheh whops.- Knock knock knock Coming I walk to my door and I'm immediately tackled into a hug by my sister. Hey Ruby, hey Uncle Tai.

Ruby: she looks up at me with big sad eyes. Light are you really going to leave. She starts to cry a little and I pull her into another hug. I don't want you to leave me Big Brother.

Light: I know Ruby but it's a good job I'll be helping with inventing new technologies and testing them, and don't worry I'll make sure to text you when I can Ok. I look down at her to see her crying into my shirt. I pick her up and she wraps her arms around my neck and is crying into my shoulder. It'll be okay Rubes.

Ruby: I sniffle know I just don't want you to leave and die.

Light: I smile at her with a goofy grin. Ruby I won't die if I do who will make you cookies, and make your teenage life miserable. Ruby stops crying and laughs a little and I set her down and see that she's a lot happier. There's that smile.

Tai: you could always cheer her up no matter what. He shakes his head with a soft smile on it just don't do anything I wouldn't do.

Light: ok so run head first into danger got it. He just gives me a look what from the story's that mom would tell me you were the one always running head first into stuff. Aside from that who wants breakfast?

Ruby: is jumping up and down with her arm raised me!

Light: -Ruby never lose your innocent personality- Alright let's make my famous breakfast!

Ruby and Tai: Yeah!

~time skip to when you are about to leave~
Lights POV

I'm currently hugging my crying sister on the landing pad with the strange bullhead behind me that will take me to Project Freelancer.

Light: shh it's okay. It's okay little rose. I'll come visit you when I can I promise.

Ruby: you promise? I nod my head ok oh hey I got you something reaches behind her back and pulls out an object that looks similar to the collapsed mode of crescent rose it's called Dark Summer it's a gift I made for you I stayed up making it. I take it and stare at it and then unfold it to reveal a similar scythe to crescent rose and I refold it and place it on my back

Light: thanks Rubes I love it. I gotta go now I love you little sister. I let go of the hug and climb on to the weird bullhead and turn around and wave goodbye -time to start a new chapter in my life-
