It was a cold winter day and Emma began walking towards the library when she heard a voice behind her.

"Hey, wait up!"

It was Jake, also bundled up and looking handsome as ever. Emma smiled and placed her hands on her hips, trying to look annoyed.

"You can walk faster than that," she chided.

Jake grinned and finally stood beside her. He wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Maybe I don't want to," he laughed.

Emma leaned into him and sighed. Just as they turned the corner, she heard another voice calling behind her. The couple turned around to see their school principal.

"Sorry if I'm interrupting something," he apologized.

"Oh! Um..." Jake let go of Emma's waist and they moved apart slightly.

The principal laughed, "If you wouldn't mind Jake, I would like to talk to Emma in private."

Jake nodded, "Of course."

The principal pulled Emma aside. "I want you and Jake to mentor and tutor new ninjas. You are, in fact, the most powerful ninjas of the 21st century. Don't worry, you will still go to school as normal, but this will be a side job. So what do you say?"

Without hesitation she replied, "I'd love to."

School was also over now, so Emma had the whole summer to prepare for her new job. When she was saying her goodbyes to her friends, many had told her of the outside trips they were taking. This would keep her form being bored, but would also be productive. She beamed at her decision while walking back to Jake.

"So," she started, "Did the principal tell you about the new job offer?"

Jake smiled, "Yeah, he told me last week. I took it. Guess I'll be spending more time with you from now on..."

"That wouldn't be too bad."

Emma looked at her watch. "I have to go... I'll see you during summer training?"

Jake nodded and lightly pressed his lips on her's. When they finally broke apart, he wrapped an arm around her and they began walking home together, relaxed for the first time that year.

A/N: Wow! I can't believe that's the last chapter of the story! I should start off by thanking all of you guys for all the support on this book. I might do a sequel, depending on how much popularity this gets. I started writing this book in third grade and finished it six years later. Only recently did I get the idea to post it on Wattpad. It has been my dream to publish it and maybe that'll happen someday. It just makes me extremely proud to be able to mark this story as complete.
