Interference

Night was training at her usual spot under the illuminating light of the crescent moon. She manages to increase her strike speed by a couple of seconds though she knew that she could do better. She pushed herself even harder then she had before. Cold sweat was showering her gray fur, her body beginning to become exhausted with every strike she made. This is what real training was, mustering very last bit of strength her body has to make her attacks flawless. Even in battle, every strike counts. There is no do overs in a real fight, a single mistake can get one killed. Night trained her body and skills to assure that this would not happen. Though she could not predict fate, she was going to make sure she be a tough person to go down. She has to get her revenge on the Mao clan after all.

She could already hear Mao Mao begging for his life in her mind. She should have broken his spine when she attacked him, or better yet his arm so he be weakened. Though it wouldn't be much of a challenge to one of her caliber. She was training to beat him at his very best, she wanted to fight him at his peak of strength before crushing him. Night would make the Mao clan pay dearly for Timber's death. A bubbling rage filled inside of her whenever she thought of how these so called "heroes" killed a innocent child for justice. So she use her own kind of justice to put them through the same heartbreak she endured. The

She was about to continue her training when she sensed that she was no longer alone. Her nose picked up the scent of another person. She knew this event was not of one of her enemies, they often carry the smell of tears of failure, misery, and wounded pride. This scent is one she knew since she could first use her nose. She put her blade back into the leather sheath on her back under her cape and face her guest.

"Great Grandfather, it is great to see you. Though it is quite odd for you to come visit me. Usually it is the other way around. I ask that you get straight to the point. You know I don't like chitchat, well I don't like my enemies to chitchat long anyways" She spoke, her arms crossed as she waited for him to come out of his hiding place.

Tai came out, his face was a mixed of serious and worry. This was not his usual look and this caused her a bit of worry. He approached her before sitting down beside her, gesturing for her to sit beside him. Like an obedient pup, she sat down next to him and waited for him to speak.

"Night, I came to ask that you stop this. I know losing Timber was hard for you, traumatizing even. Yet killing the Mao clan will not solve anything, all it will do is stain your paws with blood that will not cure you of your pain. Believe me when I say this" Tai eyes were sadden as he spoke, he had once been were Night was and he was able to stray away from the dark path.

Though he could not stray his great grand daughter from the path of evil, he hoped he could at least convince her to not lil the clan she hated. To be honest, Tai was still upset about the lost of his loved ones though he knew that it was better to move on.

"Tai, as my dear grandfather you trained me to learn the ways of the blade. Helped me learn how to fight the way I do now, became a parental figure when I needed it the most. I respect you greatly that no words could ever describe" She looked him in his golden eyes, seeing his ears perk up due to her words. However she was not finish. " Sadly, I must refuse your request. The Mao Clan killed my parents then sent a house on fire with me and Timber inside! I worked hard to get where I am, so that I can take those accursed felines down once and for all. I will destroy them even if it against your wishes! " She growled in anger, furious about him asking her the unthinkable

Tai sighed before getting up. He knew that talking to her was not going to work, though he had hoped that there was a possibility for trying at least. He knew there was only one way to convince her, the only way she could see reason. He pulled out his twin katana of fire and ice and got into a stance. Battle is sometimes the only way to show that one is wrong, he sadly had to show this lesson to one he wished he never had to fight. Though date had other plans.

Night understood where this was heading. A battle of conflict that only the words of clashing blades could resolve. The winner of this fuel would have to respect the decision of the winner and no longer question it. She ready her onyx blade of darkness and got into her battle stance. True be told, she always wanted to test her skills against her great grandfather. If she could beat him, she would have no problem destroying the Mao clan since it was Tai who trained Shin. Tai was a legendary hero, he had more experience and fought more battles so this would not be an easy victory. What made this hard for her was that this was her family, something she had hoped she would not have to fight.

Night make the first move as she tried to slash her way through Tai defenses. Tai easily blocked the strike, he was staying in the defensive for now. Night used her blade ice abilities to try and freeze the fire katana for a few moments to get an opening. Sadly that was also a failed attack because he used his own ice katana to stop the ice attack. As they battled she saw his method of battling. When she attacked the fire katana, he blocks with ice one. When she tried a long distance attack, he would slash through it with the fire katana. Even with the katanas, his armored was capable of taking damage without getting hurt. A fiery assault that is covered by a solid ice defense is a good strategy that even could stop Night dream once and for all

Night was already tired from pushing herself from training so hard, this battle was only adding to her exhaustion. At this rate she would pass out from a few more blows. She had to win this battle! She has to get her revenge on the Mao clan for taking the most important person to her! Even if she had to use her strongest attack to do so. Her blade glew the most ominous black glow it ever had in all her times using it, this would really take it out of her but she didn't care about the consequences afterwards! SHE WOULD WIN TO HAVE HER REVENGE!!

"Darkness Abyss Chaotic Slash!!!!!" She scream full of rage as her blade send a large shockwave of darkness that destroyed all in it's path.

This attack was full of her desire for revenge and hatred for those of the Mao clan. A wave of darkness that held no light, consume all that stood in it's way. This was her heart, how much evil was inside and how her suffer and grief only caused this darkest to grow. Tai was not even able to put his defenses up when he took the blow. If it wasn't for his armor, Tai would surely have died right there. His armor was badly damaged, cracked so much that the blast was able to make a deep hash on his body. Deeper than any scar he's ever received before. His katanas were completely blower far due to the attacks aftermath.

Night had won. As the rules applied, she could take her revenge and their was nothing Tai could do to stop it.

"I...win.." Night was short of breathe from using such a powerful attack, going to her knees

" Your heart....is there only hatred left inside? I could sense you were giving it all your strength, this is clearly some...thing you desire...greatly " Tai slowly sat up, holding his bleeding wound, his voice weaken from the pain.

"I hold only the hatred for those felines!" She let out a low growl that was her answer before lifting herself up other her sword.

" When I brought you to Willow, I knew she would teach you those methods of torture. It was her test to see how far you would go as a villianess. She was proud at you yet she was also scared of you as well. How the goodness was fading from you too quickly...how you were destroying entire villages in a matter r hours.... " He winced in pain before continuing "So we talked and she plead with me to try to stop you from your ultimate goal"

"This is from the lady who taught me to feed monster meat to my enemies to torture them" Night was not happy about this news, she thought Willow was supporting her

"Actually Willow feed you tofu that she filled with artificial monster wolf extract. I am told those who eat it don't taste the difference " He confess

Night was a bit surprised by this but she just shrugged it off. She would still torture people with that method, it was a relief that she didn't eat wolf meat that day though. She was still going to have her revenge. Starting with Mao Mao.

Out of the sky, a light blue fuzzy bar appeared and flew to Tai side. Night knew who that bat really was. She watch as it transform into it's true form. The bat was none other than Willow Clawberry, her aunt who raised her.

Willow looked at Night with pleading eyes that threaten to drop tears.

"Night, I know you want revenge. Though Timber wouldn't want you to kill someone for him. You don't need to kill to take your revenge. Though that look in your eyes tells me you are sent on destroying the Mao clan....Just please, use your heart to away away from this desired revenge...you are not all evil, I know that" She gave Night a sad smile as she treated Tai

" I will not give up my mission to avenge Timber. Your words shall not change my mind. I decided on one change however. I will spare Shin and allow him the pain of losing those who matter so dearly to him. Just like what his daughters did to me" Her tone of voice matched her cold glare as she headed to her kingdom. Leaving those two alone.

She knew Willow could easily help Tai, so she was not concerned about just leaving them. Though her body was getting weak from using her blade most darkest attack. Just before getting out of the forest, her curse activated causing her heart to become more evil and collapsed there. All she could remember was a embrace of comforting warm before her mind when to recover it's strength in the darkness.
