{Chapter 2}

"Miss. Yakatama! This is the fifth time this month that you have been late!"

I froze at the dreaded high pitched voice. I sighed, looking to my boss, as her face held a scowl.

"I'm very sorry Mrs. Tesla it won't happen again Ma'am," I said taking a bow, but immediately regretting it.

"What in gods name are you doing?" She asked me. Venom dripping from her words. I straightened up, laughing awkwardly.

"What's so funny? Ugh never mind that, just get to your station before I fire you. Oh...wait, I already did," My eyes widened, as the woman walked away, a hand on her hip, and a clipboard in the other.

"I'm...fired?" I stood there for a well five minutes, trying to take in all that just happened, minutes ago. I clenched my fists, running out the door, and into the rain. I stopped when I almost ran into a couple. They gave me odd looks, but I ignored their stairs and continued walking.

I kept my head down, tears falling from my cheeks. I soon felt a small buzz, in my back pocket. I ducked under a building, as the tarp above my head, protected me from the cold droplets.

I took out my phone, whipping away my tears, seeing that it was Pet. She had sent me a privet message. I smiled, opening the notification.

Pet: Hey Gina! What ya up too?

Gina: I'm walking back to my house in the rain. You?

Pet: What?! Why don't you take your car?! And I thought you had work today?

Gina: I got into an accident, and they took my car. Which caused me to be late for work, and ended up getting me fired.

Pet: What?! Are you alright?! Did you explain why you were late? Maybe they will hire you back!

Gina: Yes Pet, I'm alright. No I didn't get a chance too tell them what happened, and even if I did, they still would have fires me.

Pet: Can you get another job?

Gina: The Office was the only one that would even look at my resume, in this entire town. And there are no new places.

There was a small pause in Pet's text, but I only took as if she were busy. I shoved my phone in my pocket looking back at the sky. It began to clear up a little, so I began my walk home.

I smiled softly, seeing my house. I walked over to the mail box, digging threw all the junk mail. There was a collection of credit card adds, bills, and an old magazine.

I took out my keys, opening my door, when I say letter with bright red stamped lettering. I walked in the house, reading the letter.

'Final Notice'

I opened the envelop in a frenzy, dropping the rest of the mail. I finally got the ink covered paper out of it's casing. My eyes scanning the entire letter.

'To whom a may concern, we will be shitting off all the necessities of the home, due to the multiple late bills and taxes. To pay off this transaction, we will need the following payment of $39,897.94'

I didn't even bother reading the rest of the letter. I leaned against the door, slowly sliding down until I was sat on the floor.
