I humm along to the sound of the piano as my fingers roll across the keys with grace.

I was reading the scale but my mind was elsewhere. All I could think about was the kiss.

The way her lips felt on mine, how perfect she was, how badly I wanted her to love me.

My phone ringing interrupted my playing and my thoughts.

I lifted my fingers off the keys and answered it.

"Hey um I have something I need to tell you." (y/n)'s voice says from the other line.

"What is it? Are you okay?" I ask and she hesitates to speak.

"I um...I'm sorry." she says and begins to cry.

"What's wrong?" I ask in a gentle voice and what she says next doesn't surprise me.

"I'm dating Grayson again." she says.

I don't say anything as I let my head fall.

With one swift movement I throw my phone against the wall and it shatters.

It's all over when I see the bat against the wall.

I just go blank as I bash the Piano to pieces.

I was upset.

I was hurt.

I was broken.
