GENRE FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL 2018

A short story is a piece of prose fiction that can be read in one sitting. Any author (with any genre) can participate. However, preference will be given to completed works. No minimum words- it can be one line or one page.

The judging with focus on the following areas as well as those included in the guidelines chapter.

  ➣Effective beginning and conclusion

➣ Ability to attract and retain readers



Here's a quick recap:

1. Please follow the rules as long as you're entering the awards. Read the chapter titled 'rules' for further details. Otherwise, your nomination might get rejected.

2. Once you book has been accepted, a message will be left saying 'Welcome to the Awards.'

3. No limit on the number of entries. Deadline closes on the 10th of the month, 11:59PM GMT.

4. The shortlist will be put up on the 15th of that month with the top 10 books. The shortlisted contestants have to comment 2+ lines on the previous month's winner's book and tag @TLAwards.

5. Since these awards are meant for undiscovered authors, only books below 30k reads are allowed to participate.
