Chapter 1

The wind blew fiercely through the trees. The waves splashed water through the village forcing everyone to take shelter, including the animals. Birds hid in the trees, foxes and rabbits burrowed deep underground.

"The fields! Our food!" The village chieftain cried as she witnessed the crop fields being torn apart by the winds.

"Chief Tala! We need to get to shelter!" One of the guards called to her. "The storm has fully settled, it's too dangerous out here!" He tried to dodge the flying tiles and branches from huts that were ripped off. The chieftain followed the guard and took shelter in her hut. The whole town listened in fear from the safety of their huts to the fierce winds of the storm.

Three months has passed since the reunion of all six tribes of trolls, when Barb's plan for world domination actually brought the trolls together in harmony, thanks to Poppy and Branch. Although all the trolls were very different, they were able to respect and live with their differences. After all, it was their differences that made them who they were.

Poppy woke up with a skip in her step and a song in her heart as always. She jumped out of bed, took a shower, brushed her teeth, placed her crown on her head, ready for whatever the day would throw at her. She looked out of her pod and saw trolls of all tribes singing and dancing together, from the smallest classical troll to the tallest funk troll. Poppy was so happy that everyone was getting along, finally all the trolls could live together in perfect harmony. She always hoped that she was doing the best she could as a queen, and now she could believe that she truly was. The journey of saving the trolls changed her for the better, it taught her how to listen to her people instead of hearing only what she wanted to hear. Her relationship with Branch also grew because of it, now that she listened to him more and he was willing to support her no matter what, and she loved him for that.

Deep underground, Branch had just woken up. He climbed out of bed and put on a robe. The adventure also changed him for the better too. Especially his relationship with Poppy, it brought them closer together, despite their fighting, and even helped Branch work up the courage to tell Poppy he loved her and to his joy, she felt the same way. Now they had been dating for three months and things couldn't be going better, he just wanted to settle down and take a break from dangerous adventures for a while. He finally got changed into his vest and shorts and climbed out of the trap door to his bunker, looking around for Poppy.

Poppy was dancing in the tree tops with some fellow pop trolls, singing their hearts out when she spotted Branch on the ground; she could tell that he was looking for her. This gave her an idea. She wrapped her long pink hair around a tree branch and swung down to the ground, she quietly hung behind Branch before grabbing him by his torso and pulling him up and off of his feet, sticking her face in his hair.

"Morning Branchie!" Poppy greeted, still holding Branch off of the ground.

"Hey Poppy!" Branch replied, still a little startled. "Uh...could you put me down?" Poppy obeyed and let go of Branch, letting him jump back down onto the ground.

"So what's on the agenda today?" Poppy asked Branch.

"Well, we are taking the troll kids to the library today to teach them about troll powers and abilities!" Branch explained. Poppy gave a big thumbs up and smiled. "But we have some time before then," Branch said. "Maybe you want to...g-get some coffee or something?" He asked awkwardly. "I kinda forgot to have some this morning and you know I can't function well without it."

"Sounds great!" Poppy exclaimed as she kissed Branch's cheek as the two of them wandered off to the cafe.

Poppy and Branch sat outside the cafe and talking, Branch with a coffee in his hand and Poppy with a smoothie since she wasn't a huge fan of coffee.

"So Cooper now wants to get gold tufts in his fur?" Poppy giggled.

"Yeah, That's was D told me!" Branch replied.

"Awwwhh well it's nice to know that they're getting along!" Poppy smiled. "Also I was talking with the troll leaders and we're all planning a huge party for all the trolls!"

"As long as it doesn't lure another predator like the bergens then I'm down!" Branch chuckled. "When are you thinking of throwing it?"

"Probably in a about two weeks!" Poppy replied. Suddenly their hug watches glowed. "Hug time!" And before Branch could react, Poppy was squeezing him with all her might.

"Wait, that's the second hug time! Poppy, we need to go to the library!" Branch stated. The two of them realized and sprinted off to the library.

At the troll library, Poppy was showing a scrapbook about troll powers to the young trolls, such as their magical hair, their colors, and how music really comes from inside of them, not just the strings.

"So not only can our hair look nice, it can be useful for transport, dancing and fun!" Poppy cheered.

"I also use my hair to prank my brother!" One young country troll added as she used her hair to slap her brother in the back of the head.

"Hey! Cut it out!" Her brother grunted.

"Our hair can also be great for defense! If ever you're threatened by a predator, your hair is your best chance!" Branch added. "You can use it as a whip, use it to escape, and-" Branch was cut off when he saw Clampers looking at him strange. "Uh...Clampers why are you looking at me like that?" Clampers didn't respond, she just gave a big toothy smile before snapping her teeth. "Ahh! Please don't bite me!" Branch yelped as he hid behind Poppy.

"Haha! Gets him every time!" Clampers laughed.

"Alright alright, Clampers we talked about biting Branch," Poppy said to the feisty country troll.

"But I didn't bite him this time!" Clampers argued.

"But you did the last seven times!" Branch argued back. "I have bruises to prove it!"

"Okay, Branch why don't you see if you can find another scrap book about troll magic?" Poppy asked, trying to break up the argument. Branch nodded as he climbed a nearby ladder to look for more books.

"Another magic of trolls is the troll gems!" Poppy explained. The young trolls looked intrigued. "So we'll see if Branch can find any books about....where did Clampers go?" Poppy started to look around frantically for her. She turned her back to find Clampers by the base of the ladder that Branch was on, biting the leg of the ladder causing it to lose balance with Branch on top. Branch yelled as the ladder fell. "Hang on Branch!" Poppy reacted quickly and managed to catch Branch bridle-style in her arms. The two of them looked at each other flustered, with blush on their cheeks.

"Uh...nice save!" Branch said, trying to break the awkward tension.

"Ooooooh!!!" The young trolls teased. Poppy set Branch down on the floor.

"Are you okay?" Poppy asked, concerned.

"Yeah not too OWW!!" Branch was cut off when several books landed on his head. Which made the young trolls snicker.

"Alright I think that's enough excitement for one day!" Poppy said. "Your parents should be waiting by the door. See you next week kids!"

"Bye Queen Poppy!" They all said. When they were gone, Poppy turned back to Branch who was rubbing his head.

"Are you sure you're not hurt?" Poppy asked him. Branch nodded.

"I'm fine Poppy, really." Branch assured, he tilted his head and a scrapbook fell out of his hair; it fell onto the ground and opened onto a page. Poppy looked at it and thought it looked familiar. It looked a lot like the scroll of the six tribes that her dad showed her and her friends.

"Huh what do you know! Looks like there is another scrapbook about our history, I thought it was just the scroll." Poppy picked it up and noticed something about the book. Branch saw Poppy's confused expression and peered over her shoulder to see what she was looking at. In the book there were the ancestors of the six tribes - pop, funk, techno, country, classical and rock. But there was also and seventh troll alongside them. It had light blue skin and and orange hair. "I never knew there was another ancestor." Poppy said.

"Does that mean there's another tribe?" Branch asked.

"Well I know who we can ask to find out." Poppy smiled.

"Hey Dad!" Poppy chirped as she skipped into King Peppy's pod.

"Hello Sweetie!" King Peppy greeted, hugging his daughter. "What brings you and Branch here?"

"Well, we found this and wondered if you knew anything about it," Poppy explained as she gave the book to her dad, open on the page with the ancestors on. His face dropped when he saw the page.

"Where did you find this?" Peppy asked with a stern look on his face.

"In the library." Poppy responded. "Dad, is there a seventh tribe?" King Peppy let out a sigh.

"Come sit you two." King Peppy pointed to some chairs in his pod. "I never thought I'd have to tell you about this."

"Dad, you wanted to protect us from the other tribes of trolls and we made peace with them! How is this tribe any different?" Poppy asked.

"I know I said that the other tribes were different," Peppy started. "But this tribe, is like nothing you could ever imagine. We call them the Lost trolls." He explained. "They are a very different tribe to us. When our ancestors were born, they were blessed with magical powers in their hair. But the lost troll did not possess this power." Branch and Poppy looked at King Peppy attentively.

"A troll without magical hair?" Branch asked. "How did they defend themselves?"

"She didn't," King Peppy replied. "The lost troll ancestor struggled to keep up with the other trolls and soon became isolated from the others." Poppy and Branch looked at each other, shocked.

"That's awful!" Poppy whimpered.

"Overcome with jealousy, she explored to find a power of her own. Something that the other trolls couldn't possess. But instead of finding magic, she found a terrible curse! A demon-like creature would be bonded to them forever, possessing the lost troll." King Peppy explained.

"What happened to her?" Poppy asked.

"She returned to the other trolls, with the demon." Peppy sighed. "Wrecking their home and everything they had worked to build, out of revenge." Poppy and Branch gasped. "The lost troll was never heard of again."

"That's why it wasn't in the scroll about the strings?" Branch asked. King Peppy nodded.

"We may have formed a friendship with the other tribes, but believe me when I say that this tribe is not to be messed with!" Peppy said seriously. "No one knows where to find them, but if found, legend has it that they can pass on the curse to someone else." Peppy soon changed his tone and pointed at Poppy and Branch. "Now I know what you two are like! I don't want you trying to find the lost tribe."

"But Dad..." Poppy started.

"No Poppy!" Peppy interrupted. "I don't want anything bad to happen to you." He held his daughter's hand in his. "Understood?"

"Understood." Poppy sighed, hugging her father.
