Alana

I sat with my left cheek resting on my palm while my elbow rested on the table. I looked at the clock and watched the time slowly tick away then back at the front of the class where Fenris taught our lesson.

I let out a sigh and rested my face on the cool surface of the desk. I stared at the clock again and zoned out.

I lay there helpless with the wolf's paw still holding me down. I started to squirm from uncomfortability. He picked me up by the nape of my neck with his mouth.

I dangled helplessly as we passed the other wolves and I could feel their hateful gazes upon me. I couldn't help but whimper.

"You're going to have a nice new home. You'll love it there." His voice reverberated in my head.

"B-but I liked my home here." I said quietly.

"You're new home will be better and you'll have a lot of new friends and you don't have to be lonely again."

"But I'm lonely now. My mommy and daddy are gone." I sniffled.

"You'll have a new mommy and daddy." He said coaxingly.

I don't know where this new strength came from but I started to kick and growl and managed to wrench free from his grasp and took off at a run.

"Get her!" I could hear him yell.

The leaves crunched under my paws as I bolted through the woods. I came near the edge of the woods where there was a trail.

I could hear laughing and talking up ahead. I ran into the open towards an unsuspecting couple with a baby in a stroller. They yelled in shock as I shifted back.

"Help me!" I clung at the woman's legs.

"Charles! Give me your jacket." She said urgently. She took it from his hand and wrapped it around me and picked me up. I held onto her tightly and scanned the edge of the woods and could see multiple pairs of murderous eyes upon us. I hid my face in her shoulder and whimpered.

"There, there. You're safe now." She rubbed my back soothingly.

"Alana. Come on, lets go." Someone nudged me.

I lifted my head to find most of the students filing out of the classroom. Great. I daydreamed throughout the entire class. Look who's about to get called to the front of the room.

"He won't call you up." Eris said trying to reassure me.

I scoffed at her remark and gathered my stuff and got up to walk with Luke out of the door.

"Alana. May I speak with you for a second." Fenris asked but his facial expression said that I have no choice. Luke waited by the door glaring at Fenris the whole time

"Yes, Mr. Finn Russ?" I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes at him.

"I expect you to stay awake in my class young lady."  He said in a scolding voice.

I rolled my eyes and glared at him." Is that all you have to say? And why are you even here?" I raised an eyebrow.

He smiled broadly and fixed some papers on his desk. "To keep an eye on my favorite she wolf, of course." He chuckled as if I was supposed to know that.

I let out a grunt of disapproval. "I am not your favorite she wolf. Stop saying that." I lightly slammed my fist on his desk.

He gathered up the papers and put them in a neat pile on the corner of his desk. "I wouldn't call you that if it wasn't true, now would I?" He smirked.

"Why. Why won't you just kill me and get it over with?" I shifted my weight on my back leg and crossed my arms.

"Where would be the fun in that?" He looked at me with a devious smirk. "You are too entertaining to kill just yet. I like to play with my food before I kill it." He walked over to where I was standing. We stood toe to toe.

"You sadistic little ba-"

He put his finger up to my lips and shushed me. "Nuh-uh uh. Don't want to be here in detention with me after school, do you?" His signature smirk made an appearance.

I smacked his hand away and snarled. "Is that- is that physical contact? Did you just assault a teacher?" He asked in fake shock.

"I can hit you harder if you like." I balled my fists.

"Alana." Lukas said warningly, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"I would love to hit you too but not with punches, if you know what I mean." He cackled loudly.

I lunged forward but Lukas caught me by my waist. Fenris just looked at me with amusement. "You just want to be alone with me in detention, don't you." He chuckled leaning up against his desk.

"No. I want to blast you into the bloody oblivion." I growled.

"I like you mad. It's hot. Don't you think so, Lukas?" Fenris smiled at him.

"Leave me out of this because I am one second from letting her go." Lukas said angrily.

Fenris didn't seem bothered. He only shrugged and smiled. "Let her go and she's going to be stuck here with me in detention," he said now standing upright, his fiery orange eyes a blazing fire," and we all know what will happen from there."

I still struggled against Luke. Trying to at least leave an open wound with my claws or something.

"WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS, TALKING TO US THAT WAY! DOES HE KNOW WHO HE'S BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE AT! LET ME OUT SO I CAN TEAR HIM APART!" Eris growled with anger trying desperately to get free.

"Alana! Stop it! Right now and lets go." Lukas said now looking me in the eyes.

I don't know what was different about this time with him telling me to stop- which has happened plenty times before- but I became so submissive. My body instantly relaxed and Eris flattened her ears and calmed down also. He ushered me out of the classroom without saying anything to Fenris.

Luke had his arm around me. Still trying to keep me calm. "You are a little powerhouse. When did you become so feisty." He looked down at me with an amused grin.

"I've always been this feisty. I'm only shy around new people. It's called character development. Get with the program." I said shortly and snapped my fingers.

He squeezed my side causing me to squeal and I cast a dark look in his direction. "What did you do that for?"

"You deserved it." He said bluntly.

"You deserve this!" I pelted him endlessly with punches in his arm.

He laughed and caught my hand and pulled me into his chest and wrapped his arms around me. "Fenris is right."

"About what?" I tilted my head and raised an eyebrow.

"That you are hot when you're mad." He chuckled.

I shook my head. "Just don't let him hear you say that. His head might get bigger." I grinned.

He laughed and kissed me on my forehead and we continued to walk to our next class.
