So. The title of this book is The Lolita Diary, but...............

What the heck is Lolita?

Now, first, let's talk about the name.
I have been made aware that there is a movie called Lolita out there.

And let me tell you:

Never mistake Lolita FASHION for the Lolita MOVIE!!!!

The fashion style has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. They are completely opposite!

So now that we have established what Lolita isn't, let's talk about what it is.

Lolita fashion is a Japanese street style that was created in the 1970's in Japan. It's kind of like a modern  Victorian style, put into different categories. It has since evolved, but the main idea of it has never changed:

• Feminity
• Modesty
• Cuteness
• And beauty that never has, and never will, fit in with any other style.

I have sat down with my friends, put pictures of Lolita dresses in front of them, and told them to pick one current style (other than Lolita) that the dresses described.

Let me tell you, there was only one word that they could find to describe it:

" Beautiful "

And they were absolutely correct.

Now. Let's look at each of the genres of Lolita.

Sweet Lolita: Arguably the most popular type of Lolita at the moment. It generally features pastel colors, bunnies, flowers, anything cute and innocent.
Here is an example:

( beautiful, right?!)

Gothic Lolita: This one is really different from Sweet Lolita. It typically handles darker colors, skulls, upside down crosses, corset designs, and anything else you might see in a gothic outfit.
Example:

Classic Lolita: Nothing in particular with this one, other than the fact that it sometimes is floor length. Some say that it's way too plain, but it's still considered a top Lolita style.

Now that we have established that, let me tell you a story about my first Lolita dress.

So when I got my dress, I was super excited about it! My style is Sweet Lolita by the way.

But when I put it on.......

Its waistline was sitting....

Right on top....

Of my FRACKING TITS!!!!!!

THEY WERE SANDWICHED!!

AND IN SPACE!!

SPACE. TITS.

I WAS ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS.

BUT MY BEST FRIEND, ON THE OTHER HAND....

WAS DYING OF LAUGHTER.

I HAD BEEN RIPPED OFF!!!

Anyway. Story time over hahaha!
