Evelyn: We don't need to do this!

Enid: At least it's not a migraine-inducing typewriter hammering into my head

Wednesday: When you're not grinding your canines, you growl in your sleep

Enid: As opposed to late-night cello solos?

Evelyn: [Sighs] Nevermind then, I'll let them chat shit

Wednesday: You over-commit to activities, then complain about them

Enid: I'd take that over your obsession with things creepy

Wednesday: You could gas an entire village with the amount of perfume you spritz. That's just the top of my head

Enid: Guess I'm lucky with the new bestie that doesn't try to find ways to endanger literally everybody-!

Evelyn: Alright, that's enough! Both of you!

Enid: B-But Evelyn-!

Evelyn: No! It's like I'm watching parents arguing! Just stop it! It's getting annoying! Look.....just give each other space, calm yourselves and we'll see what happens in the future

Wednesday:.....You're right, we're both being childish right now. I'll....talk to you later?

Enid: W-We will see

Enid leaves and now it was just silence between myself and Evelyn, she was right about everything. There was something between us and it needs mending, I'd hate to say it but the one person I would go to fix this, would be Blue.

Evelyn: You okay?

Wednesday: I'm fine, I need to go to the Nightshade Library, where is Blue?

Evelyn: Check his room

I nod my head and leave our dorm to go and look for the Strange Demon Boy, once I find him, I order him to follow me to the library. As we go down the stairs, I start looking around, wondering where my Uncle had gone off to.

Wednesday: Uncle Fester?

Xavier: Who's Uncle Fester?

Blue: I'm Uncle Fester

Wednesday: Idiot. What are you doing here?

Xavier: Since I'm an actual Nightshade, I don't have to explain myself. What's your excuse for creeping around in the middle of the night?

Wednesday: Research

Blue: I'm Batman! :D

Xavier:....On the monster? I'll save you some time, there's nothing in here matching that thing

Wednesday: Isn't that convenient

I was annoyed, and turned around to leave the Library, but Xavier has forgotten how to shut his mouth.

Xavier: You know what your problem is?

Wednesday: I would love to hear your piercing insight

Xavier: You don't know who your real friends are, I've been on your side since day one. I literally saved your life, I believed your theories when nobody else did! And what do I get in return? Just nothing but suspicion and lies!

Wednesday: Fine, you want honesty? Here it is. Every time the monster's attacked, you've been right there, starting with Rowan at the Harvest Festival, then on Outreach Day. You arrived just minutes after the monster disappeared, yet you say you didn't see it

Xavier: That's because I-!

Wednesday: Then there is your drawing obsession, you have drawn the monster dozens of times, yet you've never seen it, or so you have claimed. You even draw where it lived, then when Eugene went to investigate, you tried to kill him so he wouldn't spill your secret

Xavier: You think I would hurt Eugene?

Blue: Wednesday, I'm not sure it is Xavier

Wednesday: Hold on, I'm not done because I can't forget his oh-so-convenient appearance after Blue kicked the Hyde through the Gates Mansion for harming his twin sister

That was my last point and both boys were speechless, Xavier's expression shifted to an even more annoyed one while Blue didn't know what to believe, he was conflicted and I don't blame him.

Xavier was his friend since the school year began and he didn't want to believe he would be the one behind the attacks. Xavier then moves slightly closer to me as if he was about to prove my point.

Xavier: If I am the monster, then why haven't I killed you?

Wednesday: Because Blue is here and the monster already knows the gap between them and him

Blue: But he still wants to scrap with me for some reason

Xavier: Blue, if I was the monster, what would you do?

Blue: Well I don't believe that you are it.....but if you were.....I don't think anyone would be able to save you from my hands

Xavier: W-Wait, really? You're j-joking right?

Blue: Joking? Usually I am, but for the Hyde, I mean it....whoever it is, they're going to have a long night ahead of them

Xavier: I-I see

Wednesday: Also, for some reason I cannot fathom or indulge, you seem to like me

Blue: I thought everyone liked you?

Wednesday: Not in that way, and even then, there is Bianca

Blue:.....Ah, yeah you're right.

Xavier: What's to like?

Xavier leaves in a slight fit of rage but I could care less on what his feelings are, he was still my number one suspect, even if my partner does not agree with me. As soon as Xavier had left, Uncle Fester had dropped down from the ceiling and laughs.

Blue: It's Spiderman!

Wednesday: How long have you been lurking?

Fester: Long enough to feel the tension between you two!

Blue: It was mad, not going to lie

Fester: Yeah, it reminds me of your mom and dad, completely complementary to one another and oozing with emotion!

Wednesday: And what are you trying to imply with that?

Fester: Nothing of course!

Wednesday: It better be nothing, otherwise you would go missing

Blue: That's not nice

Wednesday: It wasn't meant to be, oh Thing, you're here

Fester: I'd recognise the patter of those fingertips anywhere! Hello Thing, you can't still be mad about the Kalamazoo job, it isn't my fault!

Thing starts to strangle Uncle Fester and I sigh, I didn't have time for this because I needed some answers from my uncle.

Fester: You said you could crack that safe in 30 seconds! Five minutes later, we were still there! You're all thumbs!

Thing: What did you say?!

Blue:.....This is fine

Wednesday: No it's not, enough! Thing, let him go, I need to see the diary.

Thing releases his grip on Uncle Fester, who removes the painting of a strange monster. There was a safe behind it and before Thing can crack it open, Blue steps forward and tears the seal open, revealing an old diary.

Blue: Ta Da! I'm a magician!

Wednesday: Sure, we can go with that

Fester: Wow, you really have the death grip

Blue: Nothing escapes zee hands! Anyways, back to your dorm?

Wednesday: Yes, are you coming with?

Blue: Nah, kind of tired. Me and Adam are going to be doing something in the morning

Wednesday: That's fine, your sister should still be in the dorm.

Blue: If one Light Sibling isn't available, then the other one shall appear

Wednesday: What if you're both unavailable?

Blue: Hah, like that's going to happen

Wednesday: That is true, I don't expect either of you to be super busy.

Blue: Hey Wednesday

Wednesday: What?

Blue: Don't listen to what Xavier said, because I'm your friend and really, I've been there for you since the beginning

Wednesday: You're right....and yes...we are friends. Are we really?

Blue: Alright, I'll see you tomorrow, I'm tired.

I watch Blue leave and I can't help but think about his words.

Wednesday: You really do see me as your friend, yet I'm the one that's using you for my own personal gains. People would feel bad in my position, but this is who I am. I'm not kind, I'm not someone who thinks about others....I just use them....

But is that who I want to be? Is this how the second prophecy is formed?

Blue's POV

I had left Wednesday and went to my dorm room, Adam wasn't asleep as usual and looks over to me.

Adam: Having fun?

Blue: Not really, I still need to beat the Hyde up, but this investigation stuff has always been fun.

Adam: Yeah, I have a feeling that you two might be close to solving this case

Blue: What makes you think that?

Adam: I don't know, maybe it's because you're encountering the Hyde more frequently. And more secrets are being revealed

Blue: Yeah, but something is off, like we are missing something

Adam: You think so?

Blue: Of course, there is always something off about an investigation, but I don't know what it is for this one

Adam: Let's go to bed and think about it later, tomorrow, we're going to look for that loose ghost

Blue: Don't they usually come out at night?

Adam: Yes, but this one is a special case. It thrives off of sunlight and will do great harm if we don't stop it

Blue: Aight, bet

We head to bed and get some rest for the next day, when it comes, the two of us were up and ready for the hunt. We head to Jericho and look around the town for this Sun Ghost that Adam's mother called us about.

From what Adam has told me, this Sun Ghost likes to roam around in daylight, they're difficult to see and like to do a bit of trolling.

Blue: So are we going to kill it? Contain it? Keep it as a pet?

Adam: Just because I said it was a bit wild, doesn't mean I called it an animal. It's more like an angry spirit that needs containing, but I don't have the experience or skills to do that, my mother would have no difficulties with this.

Blue: So we're going to kill it?

Adam: We have to, otherwise it will cause chaos

Blue: I'm not going to feel bad, right?

Adam: You shouldn't when it comes to this

Blue: Great!

About half an hour into our search and we couldn't find Casper's crackhead cousin, but then my eyes spotted something, it was bright yellow and almost hard to spot in the day.

But I could see that there was an entity in the air, it looked like a cloud full of electricity and fire, and it didn't look safe at all.

Blue: I found it!

Adam: Get that motherfucker!

The Sun Ghost seemed to know we were after it and escaped into the forest, we chased it down and couldn't find it. Before we can wonder where it went, we both had to drop down to the ground as a bright light almost crashed onto our heads.

It was the Sun Ghost and it was very aggressive, upon closer look, it had no face, either because it doesn't own one, or it's too bright to see.

Why the hell is it so bright anyways?! Just because you're called a Sun Ghost, doesn't mean you have to be the god damn Sun!

I looked at Adam and he nods his head, meaning he was game, we start to run around to confuse the Sun Ghost as it didn't know who to go after.

Eventually it chose Adam and began to chase him down, and while it was distracted, I begin to use my new blue flame attack.

It was small as it should be, but it packed something, I threw it at the Sun Ghost but it saw it coming and moved away. However, I expected this and used something I've been working on ever since my mother taught me this.

Because the flame is my power, I can control it and all of its properties. I raised my hand and controlled the movement of the flame, then I directed it towards the Sun Ghost like a homing missile.

It was doing its best to avoid my attack, but I kept focusing it onto the Sun Ghost, pursuing it intensely.

Eventually, I managed to connect my attack to it and watched as it crashes down, it gets up but Adam takes out a special device given to him by his mother.

Apparently she got it from her brother who hunts down rogue spirits like this one. Adam contains it in the special device, but it tries to break out which he noticed, so he throws it in the air.

Adam: Blue, now!

Blue: Bet!

I used a large amount of my power for only a moment, just so I can create a giant blast attack that destroyed the device, and incinerated the Sun Ghost.

Blue: We did it, we saved the world!

Adam: More like a town big man

Blue: Let me have a moment!

Adam: You always have a moment! Where's mine?!

Blue: You'll get your moment when you fix this door! Wait wrong line. You'll get it when the time is right!

Adam: Well what's the time now?!

Blue: Now it's time to eat!

Adam: [Sighs] You're not wrong, I need eat right now, I do not want to skip breakfast.

Blue: Me too!

After successfully killing the wild Ghost, we went back into Jericho and over to the Weathervane to get some food. Once we entered the building, we saw that Wednesday was sitting there as well.

Blue: Oh, Wednesday

Adam: Sup

Wednesday: Why do you two look like you did something?

Adam: Had to take care of a Sun Ghost, and now we're going to relax here

Wednesday: Is that what you meant last night? That you were going to do something?

Blue: Yeah, didn't want to explain the details until the job was done

Wednesday: Fair enough, now, both of you sit. I need to explain some things.

Blue: You want to go over something with us?

Wednesday: I do, we figured out that there are two killers

Adam: Two?

Wednesday: Yes, one is the Hyde and the other is essentially the one that activates the Hyde, their master in simple terms.

Blue: So does that mean-?!

Wednesday: Yes, you get to fight two different killers

Blue: Yaaaay :D

Adam: I'm assuming that there is more?

Wednesday: Correct, I believe that Xavier is the Hyde and his master is Dr Kinbott

Blue: What?!

Wednesday: Myself and Uncle Fester followed Xavier, we found him meeting up with Dr Kinbott in a secluded area

Blue: B-But that can't be true!

Adam: Secluded? Oh God, we need Chris Hansen right now.

Blue: We do?

Adam: Yes

Wednesday: No, now listen. Kinbott has to be Xavier's master, the Hyde lays dormant until it's unleashed by a traumatic event or unlocked through chemical inducement or hypnosis

Blue: So Hypno is involved, I know he is hiding those kids somewhere!

Adam: Blue, Pokemon aren't real

Blue: I can dream okay?

Wednesday: Blue, shut it and listen. Kinbott must've realised that he is a Hyde, and she used hypnotherapy to unlock him, that would explain their secret sessions

Blue: I still don't think both of them are involved

Adam: Yeah, Xavier would know not to ask for another fight with Blue

Wednesday: Trust me, I've got it locked down

Adam: Alright, you're the lead detective

Tyler comes over with something for the three of us, then he leaves us to our conversation until we finished our breakfast.

Tyler: Hey guys, can I speak to Wednesday for a moment?

Blue: Yeah sure

Adam: Say it here, we don't mind

Tyler: O-Okay. Umm, Wednesday, can you come to Crackstone's Crypt with me? At 9?

Wednesday:....Like a date?

Tyler: Y-Yes, I just thought that I can give you my gift for your birthday.

Wednesday: [Sighs] Fine, I'll meet you there. But it better be worth it, otherwise they won't be able to find your body

Blue: Call me if you need to hide it

Adam: I know some good places to hide a body, but the Crypt would be a good place

Wednesday: I'll see

Tyler: C-Come on you guys, I'm getting really concerned now

Wednesday: Be there, otherwise I will give you a reason to worry.

Tyler: O-Okay

Tyler leaves us and I follow the two boys back to Nevermore, once we were back, I continue to look at my investigation board until nightfall. I left with the help of Blue and arrived at Crackstone's Crypt where Tyler was waiting for me.

Tyler: O-Oh, you came!

Wednesday: Of course, but be warned, last time someone threw me a surprise from here, it did not go as planned

Tyler: Y-Yeah, I heard. Anyways, come in

Tyler leads me inside of the Crypt, where I would see his set up for me. There was a blanket on the floor with a basket of food, he also managed to bring a projector with a makeshift movie screen.

Confused, I turned around to face Tyler who had a smile on his face.

Tyler: What? No one's ever taken you on a picnic inside a Crypt before? Consider me lucky to be the first

Wednesday: And what movie do you have ready for me?

Tyler: Well, I hope you like getting scarred for life

Wednesday: As if I haven't been before already

Tyler begins to put on a movie, which I learnt was called "Legally Blonde". I was surprised by this, but agreed to watch it, I actually found myself enjoying the movie, and when it ended, the two of us stood up.

Wednesday: That was torture, thank you

Tyler:......Okay, don't hate me, I'm just going to say it. I....want us to me more than friends

Wednesday: You'll snap out of it

Tyler: Don't do that, discount my feelings

Wednesday: I'm not friend material, let alone more-than-friend material. I will ignore you, stomp your heart, and always put my needs and interests first.

Tyler: You can keep trying to push me away, but it's not going to work

Wednesday: I almost killed you

Tyler: I survived

Wednesday: Beginner's Luck

Tyler: I'm tougher than you think

Wednesday: You're making a mistake

Tyler: Probably

Wednesday: Definitely

Tyler leans in, and for some reason I found myself leaning in as well.........

But I stopped.....I stopped myself from advancing, I don't know why, but this felt wrong. Was it because I shouldn't be kissing a boy?

Or is it because of something else?

I pull away from Tyler before his lips could touch mine, and right before he could ask what was wrong, the entrance to the Crypt was bursted open. In came Sheriff Galpin, who didn't expect to see his son with me.

Galpin: What the hell? Tyler?

Tyler: D-Dad? What are you doing here?

Galpin: The School Groundskeeper found a motorbike by the lake. It matches the description of the one the bank robber stole. There's a canoe missing, figured he might be on Raven Island. I'm not going to ask what this is, but I never saw the two of you here, you got it?

We both nod and he leaves, Tyler turns his attention back to me and had eyes of confusion.

Tyler: Hey, are you okay? You didn't seem so sure of yourself

Wednesday: That's because I wasn't, thank you for that Tyler, I'm going to go back now.

I leave Tyler at the Crypt and made my way back to Nevermore, I enter my dorm with my neutral expression, but that turned to shock when I saw Evelyn knocked out on the ground and Thing next to her....with a knife lodged into him.

Wednesday: Evelyn! Thing!

Evelyn: Knocked out again?! Damn you authors!

Adam: Hey! Who said you can break the 4th wall?!

Evelyn: Oh come on! You have a version of yoursleves in this book and in real life! What about me?!

Blue: Well you were going to be based on my actual sister, but she has been busy. So now you're my OC's sister!

Evelyn: Dammit you're right, you better do me some justice

Adam: We will see, you might get your moment in the finale

Evelyn: And when is that?

Blue:......After this chapter, there is two or three chapters left

Evelyn:......That will do I guess, still a bit too long

Adam: Well, you've got to deal with it big man. But yes, my fellow readers, there is only two or three chapters left, probably two, so we will see you until then.

Blue: If I do two, they're going to have to be long

Evelyn: You're a workaholic, so that's fine

Blue: Is that a good thing?

Adam: Hell no!
