Pov Eren

While eating Levi was staring at me.
Why is he staring at me ? I don't like people staring at me especially while I'm eating ! It's disturbing.

But let's be honest, Levi is scary, he have a gun and is quite strong so... I don't have enough courage to ask.
It won't hurt to try and it's quite disturbing.The only thing that is disturbing here is your ugly face !

A little voice yelled at me, I frowned,

"E-excuse me, b-but is there something on my f-face...?"

Said I timidly,

"What ?"

Levi asked with his usual emotionless and cold tone, and that was enough to scare me so I just muttered,

"Nothing, never mind..."

"Okay..."

He looked at me confused.

Pov Levi

This brat is really weird...
I hope I'm not scarring him.
There was an uncomfortable silence and it didn't seem like the brat was going to break it, so I hesitated a little before asking him a random question,

"So, brat, do you have friends ?"

He looked at me surprised and confused at the same time but answered anyway,

"Y-yes, I do."

"How many ? I bet you have tons of friends, right ?"

He looked down and said with a sad smile,

"I only have two friends but it's enough for me...b-because they are always here for me even thought they don't have to."

Only two ?! I really thought he had a lot of friends !

"That's what friends are for, you know, helping each other out"

"A-and you ?"

"Me ? I have that crazy ass Shitty glasses and the little too serious Eyebrows. They're my best and only real friends."

"Eyebrows ?"

"The tall blond guy from before, Erwin."

"Oh him...H-he didn't seem to like me"

"Don't mind him. Like I said, he's a little too serious"

"LILIIIIIII!!! EREEEEEN!!!"

Eren jumped up, surprised by Hanji's loud fucking voice,

"I already told you, stop shouting."

"Sorry, sorry, it was just sooo weird seeing you two together without any beating or anything of the sort"

"It's not like I'm always beating him up"

"..."

"What ?"

"ANYWAY, how are you Eren ?"

The kid smiled at four eyes while talking to her.
He have quite a beautiful smile... Shit here I go again !

"So, Levi, did you decide on what to do with the boy ?"

Hanji said seriously, pulling me out to my thoughts.
She's right... I have to decide on what to do with him ?
The brat looked at me with fear in his eyes and my heart aches a little at this.

Come on Levi ! You're an Ackerman, you shouldn't have pity on your enemy !

"Yes I have"

"So ?"

"I'll kill him..."

"WHAT ?!"

"But not for the moment"

Hanji looked at me with anger,

"You really deceive me, Levi. I thought you were better than that."

"Then you were wrong."

"You better know that, Levi Ackerman, you'll have to get through me to kill that kid !"

She raised from her sit and so did I raising my voice as well,

"YOU'RE NOT GONNA STOP ME FOUR EYES !"

We were in the middle of the fight when,

"I'm sorry ! All this is my fault !! If I wasn't here you two wouldn't be fighting !! It's all my fault, I'm gonna disappear so that you won't fight anymore !!"

With that Eren ran out.
We both looked surprised at where Eren ran off to.

Pov Eren

I ran. I ran as fast as I could. Tears were rolling down my face, but I didn't care.
You should just disappear! You're hindering everyone around you ! Even your supposed friends HATE you !
Die ! Die !! DIE !!

"S-STOP !!"

Said I, crouching down while covering my ears and closing my eyes tightly, tears still rolling down my face.

"...p-please...stop..."

You KILLED your mother and made your father SUFFER yet you want it all to stop !? Even DEATH is too good for a MONSTER like YOU !
YOU DESERVE TO SUFFER ! TO BE TORMENTED BY GUILT!!

I wanted it to stop but the voice decided otherwise.
So I kept on crying and listening until I fell asleep.

*time skip*

I woke up, slowly remembering what happened. I looked around to see I was in a forest and it was nighttime.
Did I sleep that long ? It's cold...

I was lost and freezing.
I was wearing a long sleeved top and jeans.
I wonder if someone's looking for me... pff what am I thinking, why would someone ever look for me ? I'm sure they're better off without me.

As I was deep in thought, I heard a noise from behind me. I turned around to see what it was and found a wolf. A wolf always have a pack...

I then saw the rest of his pack. They were circling me.

"...Shit...so that's how I'm gonna die..."

The first wolf jumped at me, so I put my arm in front of me.

"OUCH!"

He bit hard on my arm and let go as the other began to attack me.
But I couldn't make out much as I was slowly blacking out because of the blood loss.

Pov Levi

I sent some of my men to look for the kid in the wood but they came back empty handed.
It was nighttime and let's say the woods isn't a safe place, especially at night.

"I guess I have to do everything myself..."

Said I, while sighting.
I took my strongest men and Hanji with me. I loaded my guns as everyone did so.

"Ready ?"

"Didn't you say you wanted him dead, thought ?"

"I want to kill him with my own two hands so now I said, READY ?!"

Hanji giggled and said yes with everyone else.
We began searching and after a while, we found Eren's necklace on the ground.

"I think he went this way"

We walked until we heard groans.
Wolves...

"Don't tell me..."

We ran toward the wolves while firing our gun to scare them away.

I looked at the place where they all gathered to find a body.
I knew that body,

"EREN !"

I ran toward him. I checked his pulse and it was weak.

"...fuck!! Hanji we have to get back right now!!"

She looked at me confused but when she saw what I was carrying she almost screamed,

"Everyone! When we get back prepare everything for the boy !!"

They all looked at Eren and quickly nodded as we began to sprint down the woods.

*time skip*

Hanji was still taking care of Eren and I couldn't get in the room because she said I would "disturb" her.

So I just sat there in silence, waiting to get news of the brat.

Hanji went out if the room and I almost instantly stood up.

"How is he ?!"

"He...he is okay for now...but his injuries are really deep and he lost a lot of blood so...let's just say he doesn't have all the chances on his side"

Said Hanji with a sad face,

"Does this mean he is going to survive ?"

"I...I doubt it...it's rare to see people survive through wolves attacks...but... But let's hope for the best and let him rest. Maybe he will get better... I hope"

"Can I go see him ?"

"Of course"

I didn't wait to hear her answer. I ran to the room and opened the door carefully.

He was sleeping peacefully. But he was so pale, had so many bandages and an oxygen mask on. I looked at him. But then my eyes landed on his sleeveless arms and wrists. There were cuts but not from the wolves. It was from self harm.

So this boy was already going through something before I came. I wonder what it was ? My heart stung, knowing I hurt him even more, be it physically or mentally.

I'll ask him when he wakes up.
But what if he never wakes up ? What if he dies ? Will it be my fault ?
What would I do if he died ?! I panicked but then calming down telling myself he was going to be okay.
With that thought I fell asleep on the chair I was sitting on.
