"Hazel?" Mylo asks, I was trying to hide my teary eyes, my back turned to him.
"Yup?" I reply.
"Are you okay?"
"Just fine." I respond.
"Could you please look at me?" He asks lightly. I felt his hand on my shoulder.
"No." I answer bluntly. I could feel his hand on my shoulder, he spun me to face him.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah." I answer. He pulls me into a hug.
"Don't cry." He tries to sooth me by stroking the back of my head.
"I'm not gonna."
"You were when you saw Elizee die."
"She was my best friend." I pushed myself out of Mylo's grasp. He looked slightly offended, mixed with sympathy.
"Oh!" His expression lightens and he runs upstairs. I let myself fall onto the mats on the floor, and stare up the ceiling. There's rummaging upstairs, then silence.
"Mylo?!" I yell.
"Yeah?" He yells back, his voice coming closer, I hear him run down the stairs.
"Nothing, just wanted to know your still here." I answer.
"Why are you on the floor?" He asks.
"'Cause." I reply.
"Well, come look at this." I sit up and look at him. He was carrying a big book. He walks toward me and sits in front of me.
"What is it?" I ask, he looks down at the book and opens it to the first page.
"You're the first person to see this, that isn't me, or dead." He clarifies, then puts the book in my lap.
"Do you want me to look through this?"
"Yup." He replies. I flip open to the middle.
"What's a kucing?"
"Cat in Javanese, that's just a dimension where a bunch of freaks live."
"Mabuk?"
"Oh! Let's go there!" He yells, taking off his key and handing it to me.
"Uh... Mubuk?" I say, doing the unlocking the door motion. A portal opens much like normal and we both step inside. It was warmer here, and much brighter. The grass was at least 10 shades brighter than normal, and the sky more teal.
"I love this place." Mylo says, walking away.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"The city, it's close to here." He says.
"Is it a nice city?"
"Yes! You'll love the people there."
"Promise?"
"Yeah." He takes off in a run, I follow him up a hill. Where you can see a city. We run down the hill and to the city.
"Where are we?" I ask, handing Mylo his key.
"Probably one of my favorite dimensions."
"Okay." I drag on the 'ay' showing my confusion.
"Hey look it's Myyyyloooo." I turn around and see a guy peeking his head out of a door.
"Dave!" Mylo yells, then runs toward this 'Dave.' I follow Mylo, because I've never been here.
"Who's this?" Dave asks, referring to me.
"Oh, that's Hazel."
"Hi." I say, putting my hand out or a shake, he takes it and licks my knuckles. "EW!" Mylo laughs.
"Good one." He says.
"Is this your lover?" Dave says, still holding my hand.
"Nope, just my partner in crime. How's Nelly?"
"We finally got hitched." Dave releases my hand, and I wipe the slobber off on Mylo's sleeve.
"That's good, is everybody in there?" Mylo asks.
"Yup, Sarah too." Dave responds wiggling his eyebrows.
"Okay?" Mylo replies, cocking his head. We walk inside and are greeted with a humongous bakery-like store packed with people.
"MYLO!" I hear a squeal coming from the back, followed with the sound of people being pushed. A girl with curly hair to the middle of her torso and emerald green eyes, runs out of the crowd and into Mylo. "I missed you so much." She tilts her head upward and stands on her tiptoes, she puckers her lips and tries to kiss him. Mylo looks upward so her lips come into contact with his chin.
"Sarah, were not together anymore, you know that."
"Is it because of her?" She points at me.
"N-"
"HOW DARE YOU STEAL MY BOYFRIEND! WE WERE GOING TO EVENTUALLY GET MARRIED!"
"Uh Sorry?" I reply.
"Sarah, we weren't ever going to get married, now stop yelling at Hazel." Mylo coaxes.
"Hi Mylo." A woman with black hair and big brown eyes says.
"Oh, hi Nelly."
"How are you?"
"Good."
"That's good."
"Mylo, no offense but, the mayor's coming soon and I think you should leave." Dave says.
"Okay." He turns to me and whispers in my ear. "The mayor really hates me."
"We'll be off." I say, smiling.
"Bye!!!" Everyone yells. Mylo takes off his key and pushes it into the air.
"Qattiel famuz!" He yells, and a portal door opens, and we both go inside. A flash of light blinds me for a split second.
"MYLO! MYLO! WHO'S THIS NEW GIRL?" A reporter yells.
"This is the wrong dimension." He whispers. "I was trying to get to a training one, but now we're here." A microphone gets shoved in my face.
"Who are you?" The reporter asks.
"My name's Hazel."
"Are you with Mylo?" I felt a hand around my wrist. Mylo was holding it.
"These people are crazy, just ignore them." He starts to pull me though the crowd of paparazzi and fans.
I look across the street to see an even bigger crowd. My eyes caught green ones. I look at the owner of these eyes. It was a guy, a similar build to Mylo's, he was wearing a tuxedo vest over a white collared dress shirt, along with some black pants and dress shoes, his hair was black, or maybe a navy blue.
"What is this dimension?" I ask.
"You're famous for killing people, that's why I'm so big here, I killed my dad." I nod, turning my head to look at the green-eyed guy, not being able to find him, I turned my head back to normal.
"I don't like it much here." I whispered. Mylo nods. I felt a hand grab on to my other wrist.
"Does he treat you like a goddess?" Someone whispered in my ear, I turned and saw the guy from earlier.
"No." I say quietly, Mylo stopped and I could feel him turning around to look at what's happening.
"I could treat you like a goddess." The guy continues.
"I don't wanna be treated like a goddess." I keep my tone quiet.
"You should be with those looks."
"I believe in equality." I say.
"This is going to be everywhere." Mylo murmurs.
"I don't even know your name." I whisper.
"I'm Eugene." He says. "Who are you?"
"Hazel, Let's go." Mylo says, I turn my head.
"Bye." I pull my arm away, and Mylo runs, pulling me with him. I look back at him. He has a sinister smirk on his face, it sends chills down my spine.
"Reira!" I hear a portal open with a 'woosh,' and Mylo pulls me in. We arrive in the training room.
"Do you know that guy?" I ask.
"Nope." Mylo replies. "I'm gonna go get you a sword." He walks up the stairs, leaving me to my thoughts.
'Who the heck was that guy and why did he call me a goddess?' I think, leaning against a wall. 'I don't think that's the last time I'll be meeting up with him.'
