"So, our anniversary is in four months".

Rainbow's head snapped up, eyes wide. She sat there with a mouth full of food. Tomato sauce from her pasta covered her mouth.

"Reewy??", Applejack heard from her mouth full.

She chuckled and nodded. "Yeah??. Can you believe we've tagether fir almost a year??. Ah can".

Rainbow shook her head no. She couldn't. Wow, time had come and gone fast.

(Time will always get away, as it leaves behind another day XD. Who knows where that's from??)

Rainbow Dash stared at Applejack for a second before continue chewing. Applejack watched her girlfriend with a smile from across the table.

"Well, it is. Ah can't wait".

Suddenly the doors opened. The girls turned their heads. In walked Rainbow's parents.

"Hello my dear. Good afternoon Applejack", the king said smiling.

He walked up to Rainbow Dash and kissed her on the head.

"Hello dad", Rainbow said.

"Have you been getting any sleep??", Queen Eden asked, honestly worried. "You look well rested today".

Rainbow smiled. "Yup. Applejack made sure I slept alot. I feel great".

The king and queen looked at Applejack, with smiles on their faces.

"Thank you once again for taking care of our daughter. It means alot".

Applejack smiled. "Think nothin of it. Ah'm just glad she gets some sleep now".

"Rainbow, dear. There's a party down at in the village later on so you girls be ready", King Lightning said.

The two nodded. The king and queen walked out of the room. Rainbow finished her meal and at servant took the plate. Applejack looked at Rainbow and snickered.

Rainbow looked at her confused.

"What??".

Applejack walked up to her.

"You got a lil somethin, uh".

Rainbow wiped the corner of her mouth with her hands. She looked at her sauce covered fingers.

"Did I get it??".

Applejack chuckled. "Not exactly".

She picked up a napkin and wiped the girl's face. Throwing it away she took Rainbow's hand and they walked out of the dining hall.

Every so often Rainbow would flutter off the ground. The princess used her wings only when traveling out of the castle. It was a pain to learn to fly again. A few months after Rainbow got her wings back she had struggled with insecurity. She feared that now that she had wings back people would again look at her differently or think of her as less than they did before.

But that didn't happen. The fairies of Avalen treated her the same.

The girls were happy that the fairies treated the princess with the same loyalty Rainbow Dash had shown them all her life.

The girls walked around aimlessly. They found Twilight and Pinkie in one of the rooms. Twilight was talking to one of the royal professors. Pinkie was talking with the royal baker, Sugarbelle and the royal dress maker, Rarity.

The girls had come to know alot o the other fairies in the kingdom. Everyone were friendly with the human girls and respected them.

"Hey gals", Applejack said.

Everyone in the room looked at the two.

"Your highness", Sugarbelle said, bowing.

Rainbow gave a nod for them to rise.
The girls walked over to the group.

"Your highness", Professor Bookssmart said.

Professor Bookssmart was the man that knew everything about the modern day health and science in Avalen. He was one of the wisest and smartest fairies around. If anyone ever had an illness, he knew what it was and how to cure it so he was also a doctor. He was a middle-aged man with brown shoulder length hair. His green eyes were small yet big. It was fascinating.

The man always had a book in his satchel.

"How are you??", he asked.

Rainbow smiled. "I'm fine thank you. And you??".

"I'm good. I was just talking to Twilight about different kinds of illnesses and how to treat them. Like make healing tonics and using herbs and berries".

"It's all very fascinating", Twilight said smiling.

"I had no idea about the different kinds of herbs that can be used to heal headaches and aches".

Booksmart nodded. "Come by my office some day and I can teach you how to make such a thing. Well, I must be off or I'll be late for a class".

The professor bowed.

"Hey Bookssmart??", Rainbow said.

The man stood up straight. "Yes your highness??".

"Why do people bow to royalty again??. I'm still confused about that".

professor Bookssmart smiled.

"It shows respect", he said.

Rainbow nodded in understanding.

"Thank you".

The man gave a nod. "No trouble at all princess Rainbow. Good day".

The man flew out of the room.

"Well", Sugarbelle said, approaching the princess. "Your highness, would you like some cookies prepared for after dinner when you return from the village with your father??".

Rainbow smiled politely.

"Yes, if possible thank you. I don't want to trouble you".

Sugarbelle smiled brightly.

"It's no trouble at all your highness".

Her eyes widened. "Oh my, I forgot to tell you. Your father wants you girls to meet him by the stables in a bit so you all can go down to the village together".

"Okay. Thanks. See ya later. C'mon guys".

The four girls hurried out of the room. They walked down many carpeted hallways, servants and maid passing by, giving a hello and a warm genuine smile.

The castle had become a happier place since Rainbow's kidnap a year ago. Everyone was always happy and smiling. Noone was ever sad or gloomy and when they were, they weren't sad for very long.

The teens made it down to the front of the castle. Walking out into the sunlight the four saw the king ready with their pegasi and guards.

The king noticed them and smiled.

"Ready to go??", he asked.

The girls nodded.

"Wanna ride together??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack smiled at her, taking her hand.

"Sure".

The girls approached the winged horses. Sunrise was just as happy to see Applejack as always.

Kicker met Rainbow Dash halfway. The winged colt made a noise. Rainbow reached a hand out and touched his muzzle.

"Hey boy. Is it okay if Applejack rides with us to the village??".

Kicker whinnied and nodded. Rainbow looked at Applejack with a smile.

"Let's go".

Applejack walked over to her. She kissed Rainbow's cheek. The strong blonde effortlessly lifted Rainbow Dash onto the horse. Rainbow gasped.
She looked at her friends and father, who were laughing.

"Wow. You're strong. Really strong".

Applejack smirked, climbing onto Kicker. She wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist. Twilight and Pinkie were on their own pegasi.

"Ready??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow Dash nodded. She looked at Kicker and pat him lightly.

"Let's go".
